Hello - just wondering if there's anyone else who seems to have a babyhead bouncing off their cervix? Really uncomfortable (no really!) and this didn't happen the last time! I've still got 2weeks to go but can't imagine this going on for another fortnight.

And the thrush thing you were talking about earlier - I think the babies get it from BF (esp if eg you've had antibiotics you're more susceptible sp?) and then you constantly reinfect each other unless you're both treated for it. I ended up with cracked nipples that didn't heal how's that for a cheery story?

pinguthepenguin · 14/06/2007 23:09

3flights- I think I know the feeling of baby bouncing on cervix- for me it's like really sharp bursts of pain that then resonate through fango and bum. When it starts it lasts for about 20 min at a time and feels unlike other period-type pains I get now and again. I sympathise, they're truly annoying.

riabutterflew · 14/06/2007 23:11

Am late tonight, have missed all the fun (had another incidence of domesticity in the kitchen).

Congratulations SFL and welcome to Jake.

Holly, I was wondering about catkin too and was going to mention texting her, but if you've done it I'll leave it with you.

Just want to add extra congratulations in case I've missed anyone out at anytime, busy as this thread is! (Also, don't think I'm rude cos I haven't commented on baby pics - I haven't looked at anyone's photos cos I'm a bit scared of adding a RL element to my safe little virtual world).

Hope all twinges have become something exciting (mine haven't, but that's ok til after the school run now. I have had the offer of a reflexologist tomorrow...)
Nite all, sleep/give birth well. Rx

riabutterflew · 14/06/2007 23:13

re the baby bouncing on pelvis. I've definately got something painful going on down there! Feels much like I'm going to burst. Wondering if I'm getting an infection actually. Might go to GP tomorrow.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/06/2007 23:25

Just found the new thread and caught up & it's now bedtime.

So quick post - Congrats to SFL .

Looks like DG to be next - all the best. Hope to hear the good news tomorrow.

TA things looking good for you too

So when TA has had her baby can you all start visualising my cervix? Think I need all the help I can get. Have been for a curry tonight and should get my sweep tomorrow, have been eating pineapple & mango all week and rubbing my feet till they are bruised. Guess its time to call in DH

3flightsofstairs · 15/06/2007 00:46

All this talk of jiggy jiggy is making me feel queasy - couldn't comtemplate DH at one end of my poor head-butted cervix and DS2 at the other. It would just be, well, really not nice!

Pingu - it's a comfort to know I'm not alone! It makes me leap from my chair like i've had an electric shock up the fanjo. Most embarrassing when it happens in the street. But might it mean that bub is in the right place? My first one didn't come out as his head wasn't putting enough pressure on my cervix.

Huge congratulations DG!!
How amazing.

I am so envious of you, and what a lovely birth, well done!!!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 08:08

Sorry Tallulah, my cervix is still first in line for visualisation.

Apart from a bit more elephant snot, there is nothing doing down below.

Remaining positive is getting very wearing... feeling a little down.
I reckon it's going to need a school uniform by the time it comes out.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 08:27

Morning all!!

Well done DG, what a great birth! Hope you are feeling ok and not too sore or tired! Any name or weight yet? Congrats!!

TA it sounds like things are happening for you, if a little slowly! More snot is a good thing and I'm sure it'll kick off soon!

bumperlicious · 15/06/2007 08:41

Bloody hell - I missed all the excitment last night! Hope DG is ok!

DH has been doing lots of work on the computer so has been hogging it for the past few nights.

Hope you are all ok this morning.

justbeme · 15/06/2007 09:46

justbeme · 15/06/2007 09:47

Well Done DG as well !! I just cant keep up!!! Everyones going to be so matter of fact by the time I have mine!!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 09:56

Come on TA, you are holding up the queue! Only joking, sorry! I know how you feel and am positive I shall still be here in 2 weeks whilst you are having a lovely milk filled time with your LO!

I know jbm, 2 babies last night! I wonder how many will show their little faces today!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 10:03

I am holding up the queue. I am selfish. I am also trying to compete for the grand title of the longest pregnancy ever.

I am beginning to think I should have joined the July thread

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 10:20

I'm being polite and waiting for you! Look at all these other rude people queue jumping, no patience, honestly!

I am trying to nest, but I'm not very good at it! I keep taking breaks for biscuits and MN!! I have just sorted out a pile of stuff to go in the loft though, I'm feeling very pleased with myself!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 10:23

Good for you, I love having a clear out. It's so rewarding isn't it? You feel 'cleansed'!! I love it.

My nesting at the moment seems to consist solely of washing the dogs bed over and over again because to poor sod is sick, he keeps vomiting all over the place, taking him to the vets later.

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 10:25

Awww, bless the poor boy! Maybe if your doggy baby is poorly it is for the best that you haven't had your human baby yet! After all you don't want to be cleaning up 2 lots of sick! Hope he is ok x

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 10:41

Quite right Holly last thing I want is a sick puppy and a newborn!
Poor puppy not sure what's got into him (but whatever it is it doesn't stay in him long!)

You know, in the last couple of days I have really gone off food and cooking and shopping and things, all the things I usually enjoy. A couple of weeks ago I would have interpreted that as a sign but tbh I have so many signs that I feel quite safe to ignore them all now!

hollyandalice · 15/06/2007 10:58

GAHHH!! I keep dropping bits of food down my cleavage!

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 10:59

Allll byyyy myyyyseeeelllffff
don't wanna be
Allll byyyy myyyyseeeelllffff, anymore

Where is everyone? On the post natal thread probably....

trendaverter · 15/06/2007 11:00

Hello Holly! I do that, but my bra catches it, think of it as a snack for later.
