Our scan went well also. No problems seen/brain growth is normal, so no worries of hydro this time. The big surprise was....
it's a BOY! We have 2girls, so it just seems strange to think of adding a boy into the mix. Nice, though. Maybe a bit less drama around here . I didn't want to find out the sex, but am sort of glad we did- now I'll have time to get used to the idea. Makes me sad to think of packing away all our pretty girlie stuff, but you never know what the future may bring. I'll be a very un-grown up 34 when LO arrives. A fourth is unlikely, but then again, we weren't planning on a third yet either!

I think you'll love having a DS after 2 DDs. Will take some getting used to but at least he'll probably grow up to spend less time in the bathroom!

Mind you, judging by all the men I have lived with (father, brothers, DH), that is such a myth.

Just had a meeting with a local bridal beautician. We had a good chat and now I can refer my clients to her when they ask for a good beautician and she can refer her clients to me when they ask if she knows a good henna artist.

This middle phase of pregnancy has kind of made me a bit more productive with work stuffg. Maybe it's because I know if I don't get stuff done now, I won't get it done until after baby arrives.

Littleoldme - thanks for good wishes on the house after all the earache I have given you! It's just down the road from talbot school so hopefully it'll be straightforward to get DS in there.

Also glad to hear good opinions on the Phil and Ted. Would hate to have spent all that money for a duff product.

Am sure DH is hoping to get a cheap one somehow.

But on sunday he took DS to the in-laws when it was naptime (resulting in no nap and a very grumpy 2 year old) even though I strongly advised him against it.

So if DH can override my parental decisions, then I reckon that means I can go ahead and make the P&T decision on my own.

choudru- i bought mine ages ago and then regretted it incase something went wrong. It's in the wardrobe in the caravan at th3e moment as dh won't have it in the house yet. I do keep looking at it though and dd loves it

I read on the pregnancy board that Dawn had her scan and all was ok. She's not come on here to tell us the sex yet tho!! Come on Dawn!!!

RG - the new P&T is branded as the 'sport'. And is kind of advetised as a buggy to jog with!

Not that I'll be jogging around Leeds with mine. Will be using going for a jog as a reason to leave babies at home with DH!

Hope you're right about the work RG. Have just been on the phone to an asian bridal magazine. Got them to let me advertise for half the price they originally quoted.

How's the packing going?

Wow, 'ark at you!! Go girl!!

The packing is going slowly but surely. All I can say is thank GOODNESS we started packing last week and thankfully we've had major clear outs of two big cupboards as well as the garden shed a few months ago. Makes life a lot easier! Wasn't much in the mood for packing last night tho - felt not quite with it.

But still, the packing came to an abrupt halt when my DP discovered an old erm.... "toy".... that belonged to my ex-boyfriend stashed in a drawer under the bed that i didn't know was there.

Hopefully he'll leave me to continue to empty the divan drawers tonight just in case anything else untoward turns up!!

RANT ALERT Just been to the recycling centre with some cardboard & an old toaster and got shouted at by a complete pig in a pinstripe suit . There is a narrow one way track leading to the recycling area & he got out of his car & said - "well if you'd move your car forward I could get past you" (he just wanted to go through rather than stop to unload) I turned round to him & said (as politely as he wasn't)- "if you just wait a moment, that man over there is moving & I can pull into his spot but if I move where you want me to I'll be blocking him in" he then said " well if you weren't such a shit driver" To say I was fuming is an understatement. I sort of forgot myself at that point and shouted "f you" at him and waggled my little finger in his general direction (I'm mortified about that now) I was shaking by the time I got out & had to really try not to cry when I got home. Bastard (sorry - must stop swearing - nasty, nasty man. Wish DH was here so I could get a hug

What makes it worse is that if DS hadn't been in the car I'm sure I'd have stuck it in reverse & rammed him - talk about hormonal road rage!!!
