Pixie - the whole anti-climax thing is a lot of my friends' reason for not finding out until birth.

Must admit though, my experience couldn't have been more different. I haven't been able to take the smile off my face ever since I found out I'm (probably) carrying a girl.

I think I'm starting to annoy people

RGPargy · 22/06/2007 19:47

So glad everything is OK for you tonysmum.

Good luck to you Anna for next week. I will be keeping everything crossed for you. xxxx

sparklygothkat · 22/06/2007 20:59

Oh yes!

So glad you're there so I can share this, (and no judging me for watching shte TV!!), I cried for over 2 hours when Stingray (a shte Neighbours character) died, I gave myself a thumping headache.

I despair of myself.

(I'm trying to give up neighbours but I can't.

I haven't cried like that since I found out that a kid took the mickey out of DS's Cerebral palsy 2 days after he moved to a new school, and that was in sept.
DH thinks I was being silly, especially as it was something I would normal shrug off, but I snapped at the kid and then bursted into tears

easywriter · 22/06/2007 21:34

Don't know wether to console with you first SGK or deal with Stingrey...

sparklygothkat · 22/06/2007 21:35

stringray!! haven't watch neighbours in years.. whos stringray??

easywriter · 22/06/2007 21:35

Stingray has died.

Anneurism.

V. sad stuff.

The sort of thing you could cry for hours about despite not being a family member.

easywriter · 22/06/2007 21:35

I am SO justified in bawling my eyes out.

Er! I think that's his death and stuff.

Stingray was a sk8ter boy who had ADHD and one of the less annoying characters in the show.

Sorry! When is insert neighbours actor of your choice going to die?

easywriter · 22/06/2007 21:47

I found the neighbours web site.

Oh no! Now I'll never get anything done.

I've managed to upload my last scan pics to my profile so take a look if you want!

easywriter · 23/06/2007 05:59

Cool photos RG.
It's suprising how clear they are, obviously a photogenic wee babe!

littleoldme · 23/06/2007 10:43

RG and Tm - I'm so pleased everything went well. I can't wait for my scan. Amazing pics RG.

On the neighbours front - I'm desperately trying to give up as I've been watching it on and off since it started which is 20 years ago

I want to know what happened to Max. He went , he came back, I missed episodes and he'd gone; never to mentioned again. I can't cope with such uncertainty.

I was sad about Stingray too. But... anyone remember Tod?? He died of anuerism in 1992. most of 6th form bunked off for afternoon to watch it. I'm going to stop now because I've just realised how sad I sound.

I too am hugely hormaonal and tearful. I'm finding myself quite amusing. Yesterday DH asked me how I felt about 'this childbirth thing' and I burst in tears and told him I thought the midwifes were going to be horrible to me. I also blubbed at an Rspca ad. Get a grip.

Have a nice Saturday everyone

choudru · 23/06/2007 11:10

Max disappeared after Elle made him think he was crazy (in revenge for killing her brother in a car accident). He disappeared, seemed to move in with another family, then Janea tracked him down and he eventually came back to poor old Steph (who had started carrying on with Toadie in Max's absence).

Steph and Max tried to resume their old life but realised the spark wasn't there anymore so Max went off to work on an oil rig. Meanwhile Toadie got another girlfriend (who seems to be an escort girl) and now Steph wants him back.

And you think YOU'RE sad? ;)

I have been a bit tetchy lately I must admit. I got all stroppy with my 2 best friends when they weren't sure if they could come and see me when I visited London. We never strop with one another - it was so out of character. I did apologise though

littleoldme · 23/06/2007 12:01

Choudru - thanks for filling me in on the whole Max thing. I knew about Elle but not the oil rig.
Bit concerned I might be getting SPD; my 'delicate ladies parts' and lower back are becoming increasingly painful. Might give yoga a miss until I get get it checked out. The midwife is going to think I'm stalking her.

RGPargy · 23/06/2007 12:26

Hi everyone!

Blimey, you lot really are sad on the neighbours front!!!

I must admit i used to be an avid fan until about 15 years ago and haven't watched it since!

Now ask me about Desperate Housewives or Prison Break and i'd be the same, although they haven't been running for that long.....

choudru · 23/06/2007 12:26

What's SPD?

Loopy - coming back to freebirth - it did seem like an american led trend.

littleoldme · 23/06/2007 14:40

Choudru - If you are a cyclist SPD is sort of pedal. If you are pg it's symphsis pubis dysfunction - pelvis joint moving too much resulting v sore hips, bits and bum- hey that sounds like a good name for a band. On the other hand I may just be neurotic c'os everything hurts and I'm normally mega fit and healthy.

Have now been given a cot , back pack and second hand pram at bargain price. I think my mates are quite pleased they can empty their lofts into our house.
