Wow Jamantha- huge congratulations.. glad you are both doing well. Baby Charlotte was a fab weight for being 4weeks early. (my dd only weighed 4lb 5oz at 36weeks)
Also well done you for only having 2 paracetamol..

Come on ladies whos next..... omg it makes it seem so real.

Hope everyone else is ok.

I thought something was happening the other night, was getting painful tightnings front and back, been feeling really dizzy for the past two days.. have had bp checked, slightly up but nothing to worry about.. My BH are defo getting stonger and more frequent now.. .. I also dont feeli quite right.. think I could have a viral infection or generally just a bit run down.. not sure.. will keep plodding along..

DH came back from work the other day to say that they want to send hoim back to the uk on a course from the 25th June till the 6th July!!! WTF.. I know I an not due till the 15th but hey think they atre taking the piss... DH told them were to go but politly!!!

madmumNika · 14/06/2007 10:59

Congratulations Jamantha! And welcome little Charlotte! You did fantastically, I am most impressed, and Charlotte was a good weight too! Hope the phototherapy works quickly and she can be coming home with you soon. How's the feeding going? Can be a bit tricky when they're early... Hope you are recovering well & getting some rest xxx

Abgirl- only just read your post about your LOs head being engaged- that does make it really 'real' doesn't it? Very excited for you!

Dewmeadow- hope your scan today goes well & LO is cooperating this time!

Bilblio- hope your Dad's angiogram goes as well as possible

Miaou- glad the move went well & you have a decent midwife this time! Hope the GTT results come back ok

Hope everyone's getting their bags packed without too much stress! Mine was packed since my scare at 29 weeks...but might need to review it now...
Midwife still not very happy with my BP, so being seen everyday... Had first trace of protein in urine yesterday but hoping it's a blip as know often that can be due to contamination...so fingers crossed today all is ok!

twoplusone · 14/06/2007 11:00

4lb 15oz I miss posted.. not that it matters really!!!!

madmumNika · 14/06/2007 11:03

Twoplusone- hope you are ok- when are you next being seen by a midwife? Take it easy when you can!!
Glad your DH told them where to go...no way should he be away so close to your due date, especially as you've had other babies early...

I'm finding it tough as DP is working loads of hours at the moment, his job is quite stressful too so it seems to be dominating our lives... Midwife yesterday told me off for running errands etc. yesterday morning and said she really thinks I should be on bedrest but it's hard when there's no one else to help keep the house running, feed DS etc... OK rant over! Have given up on hoovering though....it'll have to wait until DP finally has a few mins (hmmm & the inclination!)

twoplusone · 14/06/2007 11:05

Just read the list of whos due when.. you were due the same date as me Jamantha... OMG... what started the contractions did they say or was she just ready to come..

MMN- hope everything is ok with you.

Abgirl..- Fully engaged way to go.. almost certain mine is still free.. think he keeps popping down though as bump keeps dropping dramatacally then a while later will spring back up again!.

twoplusone · 14/06/2007 11:08

MMN- I am at the hospital on monday for a scan.. I think everything is just starting to prepare its self for the big day now.. hUbby thinks it will be two weeks time!!..

It is ds 3rd bday on Tuesday.. so we are going to do a little tea party for him.. tbh I cant really be bothered but I feel really guuilty about not doing anything for him... bless him..

Groveregg · 14/06/2007 11:08

Wow congratulations Jamantha! I was wondering who and when would be first! Well done you.

Hormones terrible today - nothing is going very well and I can't stop swearing...

catstar · 14/06/2007 12:17

Welcome to the world Charlotte! Congtratulations Jamantha - and 1st Prize for getting straight on to Mumsnet!! I think you've put the wind up most of us (pardon the expression ). I have to admit it brought a tear to my eye - but I'm sure it bought a bit more than a tear to your eyes .

Good luck to everyone with various appointments etc. I was told by my doctor yesterday that baby definitely moved to "ceph" from oblique - so I'm off to go and pick up my TENS machine this afternoon.

In our NCT class on Tuesday one of the girls from the previous group brought in her 15 day old baby. We all just sat and stared, not really able to associate this lovely little lemon bundle with the bumps in front of us. What was very reassuring was that the mum was healthy, happy and back in her pre-pregnancy jeans!!!

So, who's next .....

Congratulations, Jamantha. Baby Charlotte sounds like a peach. Hope you're all home together soon...

bilblio · 14/06/2007 15:31

Congratulations Jamantha! Glad you're both well and have got your body back. Let's hope you're starting a trend and we all get by on 2 paracetamols Your comment about your friend being 5 weeks early made me think about checking my hospital bag, but I never got around to it. I'm 5 weeks today, so I'll definitely be checking my bag once I've posted.

Twoplusone - Good on your DH for telling work where to go. My DP doesn't work, and as the days go by I'm getting more and more grateful for that fact

Madmum - hope the protein is just contamination. Taking it easy sounds great in theory, but it's just so hard (and boring) to do in real life.

Jamantha · 14/06/2007 15:59

C is in scubu but ok.

MelissaM · 14/06/2007 16:01

CONGRATULATIONS JAMANTHA! Well done! I can't believe you managed with just two paracetamol. Glad you are fine and baby is doing ok, and hopefully the jaundice will be sorted quickly. Rest up as much as you can.

My bags are in the boot of the car! Had trip to hospital this morning as had some bleeding and due to previous problems I wasn't sure what it was. Looks like I have had a show, but could be weeks yet before lo arrives. Was very hard convincing my mum of this though, but I have managed to ship her and my dad back off home this afternoon. Now I can get some much needed rest and start to enjoy my maternity leave. At least now my house is spotlessly clean (even the oven!).

Defo going to review whats in my bags and make sure the nursery is properly ready now though! Only 31/2 wks to go for me!!!! DH going to put up birthing pool this afternoon - just in case it all kicks off over the weekend!

Myfairone · 14/06/2007 16:05

Jamantha - She is just adorable. Has the tears flowing in my house (Mum and me!)....She has such a beautiful face, just perfect.

You don't look half bad for someone who just gave birth on two paracetamols either!

Well done to you and congrats again.

Lets hope we are all online and posting pics the day after our LO's are born!

Big hugs

emmyb · 14/06/2007 16:26

Well Done Jamantha.
Charlotte is beautiful.
Enjoy every minute!! xxx

MelissaM · 14/06/2007 16:45

Congratulations again Jamantha. She is beautiful.

Miaou · 14/06/2007 16:48

Oh wow! Congratulations Jamantha - she is beautiful! Hope to hear the full gory details when you feel up to it

Very slightly scary though - I still haven't washed the moses basket bedding, not packed a hospital bag, and not got any baby clothes out ready . I think I am putting off the inevitable but Jamantha has spurred/scared me into action and I shall get it done now!

I went to aquanatal classes today for the first time, and met another couple of expectant mums, which was really nice. Swapped phone numbers with one of them and we are going to meet up next week sometime I think! Nice to start making friends.

Keep going back to look at the pictures of Charlotte - she is soooo gorgeous!

Myfairone · 14/06/2007 17:21

I too keep looking at her adorable little face and just can't get my head round the fact that I am going to have one of my own!!! Its making my tummy flip.

Jamantha, you must be so proud!

Miaou - I too have gone into panic mode re clothes etc...I ran out and got my moses basket stand today and bought some more bits for my bag....really need to get my bag packed.....so much to do, so little energy!

Melissa - Glad that all is well and that your house is now spotlessly clean...sounds like you are more than ready..and with everyone having early babies!

I've had a very frustrating day today. Everywhere I went people were trying to guess what I am having and everyone said a boy! I really dont mind what I have as long as its healthy but why is everyone saying boy?????
One shop assistant wanted me to do a twirl so that she could see my butt!

Jamantha, hope lo is home with you soon x

DivaSkyChick · 14/06/2007 17:32

YAY Congrats Jamantha! What a beautiful little baby. Can't wait to read your birth story.

So are you going to start the July 2007 postnatal group? We'll all look to you for "lessons learned" in the next few weeks.

LOL Don't worry about that stuff of course, just enjoy your little darling. Sooo happy for you!

typhoonsmum · 14/06/2007 17:58

Congrats Jamantha. Was wondering who'd be first.

Been to Chester Zoo this afternoon with DD school trip. Guess what it was raining again. Must me something to do with me and that Zoo.

Going to start on the Raspberry Leaf tea tonight. I'm 34 Weeks at the weekend. I should be ok to start now shouldn't I.

( A delivery like Jamantha's sounds nice - Two paracetamol. I'm impressed)

twoplusone · 14/06/2007 18:31
