Groveregg · 10/07/2007 12:07

Congratulations emmyb, cyee and mousemole! I am fast losing track of things so hope I haven't missed anyone. Really woolly-headed today after 2 bad nights' sleep - not so much from needing the loo as getting the rest of me comfortable. I am finding it really annoying though that I get up for a wee at 4.40am to find it's already light and it stops me from getting back to sleep...

Twoplusone hope you are being good and resting!

typhoonsmum · 10/07/2007 12:49

Ok I'm lost. How many are we up to now?

Is Abgirl still doing the stats or will she be too busy with LO.

Groveregg · 10/07/2007 12:52

I know, I was thinking that it would be nice to see the stats, I might have a go if I can keep track of everything...

typhoonsmum · 10/07/2007 12:58

Knock yourself out Grover. I'm confused just reading the birth announcements (and a little jealous)

ooh, i'm not on there but i'm a newbie!!
due on 30th july, but cs booked for 24th,(baby still sat with feet either side of it's head) 37+2!

twoplusone · 10/07/2007 15:04

Congratulations Cyee.. on the birth of Eva

Managed to get some rest today. DD came down with tonsilitis (again) today.. I thought she was sickening for something last night. DH could ony get today of work, so I will have both children tommorrow!!. Luckily DS will be at creche for a couple of hours in the morning.

I really have had enough of being pg now, I just want to sleep until it is all over. I have resigned my self to the fact that I have atleast another week or so left.. (really dont think things will happen before sunday). I am hoping to have had the babs before dd goes away on the 26th July, as she doesnt get back till the 22nd August and will be gutted at not seeing her new baby brother before others,..

Rant/moan over..

Myfairone · 10/07/2007 16:02

Afternoon all,

Huge congrats to Cyee and Swift on your new arrivals. Seems they are coming thick and fast now as we approach the middle of the month.

Weird day for me today. Slept so badly last night (and yes to whoever said by the time you get comfy your ready to pee again!). Thought I was okay to go out to the shops. Got there with my Mum, cried from exhaustion, took her home and have just slept for 3 hours!

Texted DH to tell him I felt ill and was going to bed and then turned my phone off (very selfish of me!) so have woken up to numerous missed calls and one panicked husband!

Twoplusone - Hope you are getting the rest you need and that your LO shows itself before DD goes off!

Congratulations, Cyee and love the name!

twoplusone, I totally know how you feel, I'm due the same day as you, but think I will go over and am really fed up of being pregnant! My bump feels really sore at the top - I think it's just the weight and I'm so sick of waking up in the night, although I'd better get used to it! Just ready to have the baby and know everything is ok. From Sunday I am going to start doing everything I can do hurry the baby along!

Chrissybobs · 10/07/2007 18:09

I'm new too so I've copied me in as well!

Just seen the midwife. Baby is lying in posterior position like DD1 which was the reason why I had CS. So feeling a bit but I've been told to crawl around on all 4's to help LO in position. If anyone else has any tips, please let me know as I am due tomorrow.
Any action at your end Catz as you are due tomorrow too?

Beyonceen · 10/07/2007 18:27

congratulations all the new ones!! well done girls.
It won't be much longer for the rest of us. Had a scan today and placenta not in the way too much (yippee) so no need for a section . I have been promised that they will induce me if lo not here by due date (measuring 8.5 lbs at the mo which is huge for me especially with symphasis pubis pain). Had an internal examination (unexpected!) today and have heard that that can trigger things off. Is there any truth in that? am i getting my hopes up for no reason?

hear hear re the sleeplessness/boredom/running out of patience/tearfulness etc. so glam this baby thing.
2+1, STOP CLEANING!!! put your feet up hun. You KNOW it's only going to get busier when the babe arrives!!
hugs to all
xxx

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 10/07/2007 18:43

Congrats to all new babies!!

Also feeling fed up with being pregnant - I want the baby to come NOW!!!!

Also v sore at teh top of my bump - had that with DS because he was so gigantic (10 2) so I betcha this is another whopper, though I doubt I'll beat 10 8!!!! Thats impressive! DS was posterior so I had an emergency CS with him.

tiggsy · 10/07/2007 18:48

whomping, top of my bump is v sore too, but hoping mines just bump headbutting me! my sisters last one was 10lb10... natural delivery too. anyone know if feeling fluey is a sign? not that i'm getting impatient!

typhoonsmum · 10/07/2007 19:29

Well done Grover. I'm impressed. I couldn't have worked all those Stats out.

All day have been having period pain type cramps. The aren't regular and I wouldn't call them very painful. Just like if you have had a visit from AF. They are stronger than the BH type cramps. Am only 37 weeks and was 41+2 when DD was born so I'm pretty sure it isn't anything.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 10/07/2007 19:54

fingers crossed for you typhoon!

AGAIN, Ive been feeling nauseous and thrown up my tea. Has anyone else had a dodgy tummy this last trimester? I have NO appetite

Miaou · 10/07/2007 20:37

hello everyone, hope you are all ok. Congratulations to all the new babies - they are arriving thick and fast now!!

I had a good birthday but overall I have been a bit wobbly over the last few days. Last night I just couldn't sleep at all and dh and I ended up talking until nearly 3am!! (Most of the time giggling about silly stuff too!). Cheered me up no end though I am starting to pay for it now - very tired!

This afternoon I saw the consultant regarding my iron levels again - different consultant to last time (I don't have a named one) - who noticed that my low iron reading (the one of 9.8) was a bit of a rogue figure as I had a lot of water in my blood (he told me off for drinking too much!! Tongue in cheek though!) therefore the iron levels were overdiluted. And hey presto, looked at the blood test I had done on Sunday and my levels are back up to 10.4!! Whoopee! So no iron infusion or tablets needed - what a relief. And to top it off, I am 2/5 engaged so things definitely progressing in the right direction. PHEW.

bilblio · 10/07/2007 20:57

Congratulations to all the people I've missed says Congratulations to over the past couple of days So many babies!
Thanks for doing the stats Grovegg. I'm wondering how many people will be left on there forever as they never came back to chat to us.

Great news on the iron levels Miaou. I bet you're relieved you don't have to do that long journey for an injection.

tiggsy I felt fluey this morning too, really achey and shivery, felt a bit better after a shower and food but I still feel drained (more so than normal )
Haven't a clue if it's a sign or not though.

Beyonceen - good news that the placenta has moved, and yes an internal or sweep can trigger things off. My SIL had one when she was overdue and she gave birth a day. I had a scan at 36 weeks to check my placenta (it had moved too) and they booked me in for a sweep at 41 weeks. I'm hoping I'll not need it.

Had a relaxing day today bouncing on my ball and talking online to my best mate from 6th form who is stuck to the sofa feeding her 6 week old baby. 've not been in touch with her for year so it was great catching up and realising it'll be me soon.
Also made me realise I want a laptop

Chooster · 10/07/2007 21:08

hey all, Congrats to the new mums!

Totally agree with whats been said about just getting comfy and then need to go to the loo. I'm getting a bit impatient as well for this LO to come along...

twoplusone - hope you get the rest you need, you've always done such a lot, even back the morning sickness days - time for a bit of 'feet up' I think . Although as a fellow mum to a 3 yr old, I know this isn't always easy

Nothing new for me... Just imagining every twinge is the start of something. Each night I'm starting to think - I wonder if I get woken up tonight byt it all starting. Probably because it all kicked off with DS at 4am.

Anyway good luck ladies...
x

Chooster · 10/07/2007 21:11

Good 'iron' news Miaou - at least you know why you weren't feeling that unwell now!

Biblio - fingers crossed you won't still be here at 41 weeks talking about having a sweep. And I hope there's not many here that could sympathise with you either

dorisofdevon · 10/07/2007 21:50

Hi to you all and congratulations to all those new mummies, haven't been on line for many months but sooo exciting to see all the names I saw at the start of my pregnancy now with babies..... as for me still waiting and getting very frustrtated, had dd1 at 37 weeks when I was still at work so didn't have time to get impatient!!! This time totally different..... it doesn't seem to be taking any hints tho' well good luck to you all my bedtime monitor (dh) is telling me I'm up too late and will regret it in the morning (he's right but i'm not going to give him the satisfaction) Good luck to all those waiting and hoping tonight's the night (or tomorrow if that's the case)

Chrissybobs · 10/07/2007 22:08

Hi Dorisofdevon- I was hoping that you would reappear and that you were ok. I wondered if you and also Cornishpixie were going to check in at Derriford as we might meet up which would be fun!?

Everyone sounds so uncomfy now and me too. My pelvis groans when I try and turn over in bed but I'm hardly in bed anyway. If it's not pelvic pain, it's my little girl waking up at the mo so a big hug to us all to keep us going.

Miaou-Happy belated birthday and good news on the iron.

Myfairone · 10/07/2007 22:34

Has anyone else had a real increase of indigestion? I really haven't suffered through the pregnancy but the past few days have been just awful...

My tummy feels really tight and uncomfortable tonight and although I'm only 37+2 I'm still thinking every twinge 'is it'!

Going to bed soon but trying to wait until I'm really tired so I can hopefully get some sleep.

Big hugs to all and sleep well (if you can!)

Miaou - Happy belated birthday and glad to hear all is well with you.

Thanks for the stats (cant remember who did them!)
