Alicejj8x you're pictures are gorgeous! I've not had one decent scan photo in this pregnancy as the baby is so wriggly! My DS was very photogenic in the womb and I got great pictures like yours at every scan!

I have no guesses from the picture!

Surprisedmom · 11/09/2018 23:12

@DragonFlew your iron levels are great, i’ve been put on iron tablets because mine are 109 and the midwife said that at this stage of pregnancy 110 is their minimum, but later on they can go as low as 105 without it being a concern.

@AliceRR the booklet I was given by the midwife included a bit on movement and they said when you first start feeling it it is sporadic and can be days apart, it’s not until later on that they expect you to feel it daily.

lanalawr · 11/09/2018 23:34

Thank you @MakeLemonade I'm going to have a look at that in advance I think.

Lovely scan photos everyone! @Alicejj8x your name is on the photos in case you didn't know.

clairehr · 12/09/2018 06:31

Lovely scans ladies 😊

FrowningFlamingo · 12/09/2018 07:34

My levels were 147 and both the consultant and midwife were impressed. I feel like I should get some kind of prize Grin
It took us a while to conceive and we had a gap in the middle where I carried on taking the vitamins so I've probably been taking pregnacare for almost two years which is probably why!

Bluelagoon25 · 12/09/2018 07:44

I'm 19+2 weeks and still don't think I can feel baby, I was told my placenta is at the back so should be able to feel her sooner but I'm not sure I've felt her.
It is my first, so could it still be a couple of weeks?

Yakadee · 12/09/2018 08:07

@Bluelagoon25 - I wouldn't worry. It can take quite a while, baby is still quite small now. I'm sure I've read somewhere that movements can be between 20-25 weeks x

AliceRR · 12/09/2018 08:38

Thanks @surprisedmom

The scan pics are so cute!

Notquiteagandt · 12/09/2018 09:18

Such lovely clear scans 😍

@AliceRR I started feeling movements about 3 weeks ago and I was same not every day. At my 16w mw appointment she asked if I was feeling baby yet. I said sparodically. She said thats fine just so long as id felt it move dont worry about routine or anything until further down the line. Some people dont feel anything at all to 20w.

I am not sure if its an combi of a very active baby and being slim.

But we felt the baby move from the outside for 1st time yesterday. Felt a bum flip over then something pointy like a foot or something bit later on.

Im only 17w. So super super super early to feel this. Espesially for my 1st.

Making me nervous for a very bostrous hyperactive baby 😂😂😂

I can now tell if babies lying in an awkward position. As it hurts!! Amaizes me as its only size of a pommegranite. I didnt exspect to feel so much.

Fredthespider · 12/09/2018 09:21

@Bluelagoon25 I'm exactly the same (scary!) 19+2 and not really feeling much. Occasionally I've had a "could it be" feeling, but nothing that's made me think it's absolutely it. I was a bit worried reading all the other posts of mums feeling so early, but they do say it could be later for first timers. I was hoping it would be sooner, it's felt like ages since the 12 week scan!

Alicejj8x · 12/09/2018 09:23

@lanalawr
Thank you & yes I remembered it was there once I posted I don't mind thou but thanks x

clairehr · 12/09/2018 09:54

Not a question of normally ask - but how are everyone's boobs? 😂

Mine have gone up two cup sizes and my nipples are pretty sore, dreading closer to the time as told they're likely to grow even more 🙄

lanalawr · 12/09/2018 10:12

@Bluelagoon25 Try not to worry. I didn't feel my first until after 20 weeks (had anterior placenta though). I barely felt her move through the whole pregnancy. It was weird as I got bigger because I could see movements and feel them with my hand but couldn't feel them from the inside. I still haven't felt this baby move either and I'm 18+5.

No problem @Alicejj8x

DragonFlew · 12/09/2018 10:33

@clairehr yes mine are huge. I've also gone up 2 cup sizes and spent a fortune on new bras every couple of weeks! Nips are super sensitive and boobs are becoming veiny

DragonFlew · 12/09/2018 10:35

@BlueLagoon25 with my first I didn't feel movement until 21weeks and DH couldn't feel through my tummy until 23 weeks. So it's nothing to worry about at this early stage!

Bluelagoon25 · 12/09/2018 10:48

Thank you all so much Smile you've made me feel a lot better! X

Baby160P · 12/09/2018 14:08

Some days I feel like I look very pregnant and some days I don't.... could be bloating still. Anyone else?

clairehr · 12/09/2018 14:25

@DragonFlew Oh yes, the veins are making me feel super attractive right now, what with the not quite a baby bump, more too many pies tummy sigh 🙄

To those who have felt movement - if I said I'm feeling something like a cross between pops of digesting food and gurgling of wind, could this be movement?

Alicejj8x · 12/09/2018 14:28

@Lookingforadvice123
Ahh thank you a chunky babu for sure lol
Ahh no really!!

we are having a gender reveal done by my sis & OH sis on the 6th October as my sis goes on honey moon next week so it was torture yday going for the scan and not knowing lol

Alicejj8x · 12/09/2018 14:29

@Baby160P
What a lovely pic :) ahh yay so 17 week buddies today lol

Ahahaha yes I would of taken that as boy hahahahaha are you not finding out?

DragonFlew · 12/09/2018 14:30

@clairehr yes that's what the movement feels like at first! Until they're a bit bigger and start properly kicking and punching!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 12/09/2018 15:13

I made my DP watch YouTube videos of babies in bellies yesterday, it’s my third child, his first... he was freaked out by how much they move and how visual it is from the outside!! 😂😂

Baby160P · 12/09/2018 15:35

@Alicejj8x lee are finding out on 9th October which is OH birthday so we wanted to find out for a gift for him 🙈 was hard not knowing.

powkin · 12/09/2018 17:01

@Baby160P - I definitely look huge and it feels quite solid some days whereas today I look just fat and squishy! I’d say mine gets bigger after eating so may well be bloating!

Had a kidney scan today at then GP surgery and the company that is outsourced to do them sent over the results to the GP immediately for me so I’d have them for my consultant obstetrician appointment tomorrow but the woman on reception was SO thick she just couldn’t get her head around what I needed, promised to email it over to me and of course hasn’t. I’ve now asked the company to forward to the hospital directly and hope they’ll be OK to do that and it can all be discussed tomorrow at the scan in case any further action is required.

Had about 2 hours sleep after very uncomfortable flight home from NYC. I do not recommend Norwegian if you struggle to sleep on planes, soooo uncomfortable.

FrowningFlamingo · 12/09/2018 17:08

@powkin I once helped with an unwell patient in Norwegian and they gave me a bottle of water to say thank you - not even a g&t Grin
