Hi ladies
Anyone here on progesterone pessaries?
I don't know if they are to blame but I am suffering from the worst gas!!!! Anyone else?!
I am so bloated I look like I'm 4-5months pregnant! (7 weeks tomorrow ) 😫
The gas is just so bad!
I remember suffering a little bit with my daughter but nothing like this! I'm so thankful my husband is away this week but I'm worried when he comes back- the blankets are flying at night 😂🙈😫

Fluffy475 · 10/09/2018 09:15

@mummy2019 I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and have two older children so I'm like you, I want to be ok for them but so hard. I think I'm also poorly so off work today just chilling and sleeping and hoping to feel better!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 10/09/2018 09:34

TMI but is anyone els constipated? Think I need to buy some prune juice! It’s horrid
I’m also craving sweet stuff, I don’t normally have a sweet tooth at all but have starting adding 1/2 a teaspoon to my tea (has anyone changed to decaf?)

mummy2019 · 10/09/2018 10:11

@Fluffy475 definitely I'm just trying to push through each day for them even though it's so difficult at the moment. Good idea to be off work if your poorly. Try and get as much rest as you can. I'm also off work but still on maternity from having my youngest xxx

Treaclepie19 · 10/09/2018 12:36

I hope all is okay monkerina

@SheRaTheAllPowerful yep I am. Last time I was on fybogel daily so just trying to keep on top of it with juices and things so far.

I'm so emotional today 🙈

monkerina · 10/09/2018 12:37

Everything was OK, measuring to dates and a very wriggly baby! Can't describe how relieved I am, 2 weeks to go til 12 week scan.

@Zarala not on pessaries but it's windy here too!!

@monkerina yay!!!! Congrats! What a wonderful scan!! And at 10 weeks I would think you're out of the danger zone!!!

I am so nervous about my scan on Wednesday - only 7 weeks today/ so far to go to get out of the danger zone !

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 10/09/2018 14:56

Yay @monkerina what fab news!! I’ve had my booking appointment, and she’s referred me to the EPU so hopefully I’ll get a scan this week.

Treaclepie19 · 10/09/2018 15:10

Aww lovely news! Hi baby :)

Rapunzel91 · 10/09/2018 15:29

Congratulations @monkerina, what a relief! :)

I'm 9+3 today and had my booking in appointment! Very exciting for a first time mama to be:) I came out as all low risk which is reassuring and it now feels a bit more real, especially walking out of the appointment with all that paperwork!

Is anyone due the 12 week scan soon? I haven't been given mine yet, my midwife says it's common to have it between 12-14 weeks in my area.

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 10/09/2018 15:39

Congrats @monkerina feeling quite jealous of those having early scans, kinda wish I had booked one now!

@Rapunzel91 I'm 9+2 today and have mine on the 28th, when I'll be 11+6 . I got the letter last week and went from being very excited, to being worried, but that's generally my permanent state at the movement. Got my booking in appointment on the 22nd, which feels late to me, but I have already had one appointment with the MW where I had the initial paperwork etc.

Ohnonotanotherusername · 10/09/2018 15:45

@rapunzel I had my booking appointment last week at 10+3. Got my 12 week scan letter through on Friday and it's going to be on 19/09 when I will be 12+5. Starting to get quite nervous now and can't wait for it to be done.

If you had your booking today, hopefully you'll get your scan appointment date through soon. Fingers crossed!

Treaclepie19 · 10/09/2018 16:08

@Rapunzel91 mines on the 21st sept when I will be 11+3. I had booking in at 8+1.
It's very early compare to my last pregnancy when it wasn't until 13+3.

monkerina · 10/09/2018 16:20

Thanks everyone Smile I am SO relieved after being a complete nervous wreck! Will feel better after the 12 week scan and testing.

My 12 week scan is on the 24th at 12+4, which feels early- previous scans were on 13+6 (DS), 13+3 (last miscarriage) and around 13+2 (first miscarriage). Not long for us all to wait now!

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up, please let us know how you get on x

MigMog · 10/09/2018 16:38

Great to hear when a your scans are. My booking in is tomorrow at 9.3. Can't wait to get a scan date through. Feeling nervous now though. I think it's because I've woken up with a terrible cold and headache. I've taken a lazy day off work to try and sort myself out. No point risking it.

I keep getting these niggly pains on one side. Both days I've had this are after days of lots of walking and when my hips gone particular sore. Hoping it's just the joints and muscles.

Feels worse because I feel so rubbish today. So I'm clearly just thinking about it too much.

Annie264 · 10/09/2018 21:31

@zarala yes to the gas! Both ends sorry TMI!! Ridiculously bloated too, never had this feeling before and it's so uncomfortable! Just don't know what to do with myself some nights!!

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 11/09/2018 07:49

Really pleased to hear about the good scans Smile. I feel like this pregnancy has turned me into a little bag of worry. This weekend I felt absolutely awful, the sickness and nausea has been getting progressively worse for the last month or so, and this weekend I could barely get out of bed and couldn’t keep anything down. Then I woke up yesterday feeling ok, which isn’t unusual as my sickness seems worse in the evening. But I felt fine all day. I managed to do so much that I’ve been too ill to do, I mowed the lawn! And I managed to actually sit and eat dinner with Dh. I’m glad it’s eased off but I wasn’t expecting such an abrupt end to all my symptoms. I’ve woken up again today feeling fine. I should be pleased that I’m a functioning human being again but all I can do is worry.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 11/09/2018 12:45

Yay I have a scan on Thursday I’ll be 8 &4 :)

monkerina · 12/09/2018 06:49

Good luck today @Zarala, what time is your scan?

TheMagicTorch · 12/09/2018 11:13

@Rapunzel91 Exciting! I'm 8+4 and just had my booking in yesterday, got all my paperwork and can't wait to get a scan date through!
The only thing they picked up on was that two of my sisters had to deliver early due to pre-eclampsia so need to be aware of that, and she recommended possibly taking aspirin from 12 weeks onwards

Everything else good, midwife was happy I'd been off my Anti-depressants for 4 weeks since finding out too proud

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 12/09/2018 12:50

I am so unproductive, have so little energy it’s unbelievable. Less than 24 hours until my scan, can’t wait!

italianwifey · 12/09/2018 14:54

Just trying to catch up, so glad to hear about good news and @monkerina that’s a great scan! I had a reassurance one just before coming away and was nice to see tiny bean in there! She dated me a bit ahead of where I thought so I’m 9+5 now I think although I know it might change at 12 weeks. @lolacola13 good luck for our appt, everything crossed. I can see other people mentioning hip pain, I’ve had this too! And the abrupt end to sickness - @awkwardasallgetout I think you mentioned it but sorry if not - I had it too and mentioned to midwife who told me it’s completely fine. She said that sickness generally gone by 12 weeks but doesn’t mean it has to last up until which I found reassuring. So long now until the next one, what are the dates of everyone’s dating scans?

MigMog · 12/09/2018 17:42

Waiting on a dating scan. I had a booking in yesterday. Scan should be end of Sep or start of Oct. We decided not to go for any early scans.

zarala · 12/09/2018 20:20

@monkerina thanks! Scan today was good! Saw and heard the little heartbeat. I'm dated at 7 weeks today which is a a couple days behind where I thought I was - but the professor didn't think it was an issue
I have a follow up scan in 2 weeks- so hope it continues To develop normally!

Also the professor told me 10 weeks is when I can stop worrying and start enjoying the pregnancy because the risk is pretty much eliminated by then! So fx for you!!!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 12/09/2018 20:22

That’s good news @zarala, mind tomorrow morning, I think I’m 8&4 so let’s see what they say :) excited
