@bubblybrit @Since2016 &picklesandpies I get that too. This morning woke up with sharp pain in that area but sometimes cannot ascertain it it is uterus or bowel! Think it wa the latter as I seem to get upset stomach often enough

@picklesandpies congrats and well done! 🙂🎉

maxiflump1 · 03/08/2018 09:10

@Alicejj8x please don't worry. I felt like death between weeks 7 and 11 but as soon as I hit the 11 week mark I felt fine. Now at 13 weeks I feel almost normal albeit a bit more tired and windy! I think the sonographer at your last scan told you it was normal for symptoms to subside slightly as you progress. I know it's hard but just try and relax and enjoy not feeling so awful!!!

How is everyone sleeping? I seem to get to sleep ok but often wake up early at 4-4:30 ish. Doesn’t make work any easier

Picklesandpies · 03/08/2018 10:08

@Notquiteagandt thanks! I felt pretty emotional too Grin - it's ridiculous but the difference between forcing food down and actually choosing to eat and enjoying it was amazing. Surprised at the success of orange juice of all drinks! Really hoping it lasts and this is the start of an improvement. Are you feeling a bit better now? I'm 13+2.

DragonFlew · 03/08/2018 10:09

@AliceRR yes I am so tired in the evenings I'm asleep by 9! But then wake up 3-4 times for a wee!
Plus it's been so hot at night it doesn't make sleeping any easier

Picklesandpies · 03/08/2018 10:11

@AliceRR thanks for congrats! So funny for feeling so pleased to eat one meal - I love my food normally but this does feel like a milestone!

Sleeping wise I have been waking up around that time too but for me it's quite handy as I have to take medicine every day and it has to be at least an hour before food so it saves me having to wait for my breakfast for ages when I get up. Had a horrendous nightmare the other night and literally woke up screaming... sure it's hormone related!

Picklesandpies · 03/08/2018 10:12

@DragonFlew I have my fan on all night these days!

somethingfromnothing · 03/08/2018 10:14

@AliceRR I’m waking up every night around 3-4ish and can’t get back to sleep! It’s driving me crazy. I’ve taken a days holiday to lie on the couch!

@picklesandpies that’s great about the sickness!

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 03/08/2018 10:14

Thread 5?! This moves way too quickly

buthaina · 03/08/2018 10:19

I'm starting to get lots of back pain when I wake up. Not sure why. Anyone have the same issue?

twiglet · 03/08/2018 10:27

@Alicerr exactly the same generally wide awake between 3ish to 5ish to fall back asleep for an hour or so then my alarm goes off Hmm
Last week I got so fed up with it that I went to work at 6am for 2 days which I won't be doing again as I was exhausted by 2pm!

Mumsnet is surprisingly active at 4am lol I avoid my phone for 45mins as I know it won't help. I have started doing pelvic floor exercises when wide awake in the early hours as I typically forget to do them through the day Blush

Picklesandpies · 03/08/2018 10:28

Thanks @somethingfromnothing. Enjoy your day on the sofa! Smile

AliceRR · 03/08/2018 10:48

@twiglet I am wondering whether I should be doing pelvic floor exercises?! I was watching Orange is the New Black last night and the pregnant one (can’t remember her name) was doing them...

twiglet · 03/08/2018 11:04

@Alicerr yes it's wise to as it takes several weeks to actually strengthen them and your supposed to do them between 5-10 times a day..... I however keep forgetting!

Baby160P · 03/08/2018 11:15

@AliceRR I watched that episode last night and thought the same lol xx

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 11:24

Has anyone went for a wee and then had a sharp pain for a few seconds in one hand side of the stomach like ovary type area?

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 11:24

@buthaina
Yes I had this this morning too

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 11:25

@maxiflump1
I know your right lol it's just sooo worrying isn't it.xxx

Notquiteagandt · 03/08/2018 11:28

@Alicejj8x everytime...annoying as im up 3 or 4 times for loo in night. Then takes ages to get comfy again.

Baby160P · 03/08/2018 11:30

Does anyone know about maternity leave if they deduct annual leave from when you're off?

For an example my holiday year is April-April and I will be on maternity probably from 1st February.

I have already given them all my dates for the year.

I also HATE lying he said you won't have any left for January to April.
Personally I'd rather take annual leave in summer anyway unless I'm skiing but I know I'll be off from February anyway.

Any advice? They don't know yet!

Alicejj8x · 03/08/2018 11:31

@Notquiteagandt
Ahh ok thays good to know I was worrying
Something was wrong with the baby

AliceRR · 03/08/2018 11:33

@baby169p I think all your annual leave still accrues even while you are off

Koalatom1 · 03/08/2018 11:40

Where I work I think you have to take off any holiday you’re entitled to before you leave...so my holiday year starts in Sept and so I need to take my entitlement from sept to Jan off before I go.

Won’t be hard with all these half terms and inset days!

hayley013 · 03/08/2018 12:11

I'm having really vivid dreams/nightmares most nights! Then wake and can't get back to sleep.

Was at the doctors with cramps and burning when having a wee, UTI so on a weeks worth of antibiotics.

Had a lot to catch up on as not been on for few days so can't remember who I'm replying to.

I also get the sharp pain when moving or standing up too quickly, but I did with dd too, it goes away just as quick.

I finally feel like I'm over the nausea at 12+2, really enjoyed eating some decent meals, still wouldn't chance going too long without a snack but all is good right now. Hope everyone still suffering feels better soon. We have our first scan next Thursday, SO excited! Though I'm showing already, had people asking me straight out how long I've been hiding the baby 😂

jeanzbeanz · 03/08/2018 12:46

Well done @Picklesandpies!!!

I'm so disappointed, really hoped the new meds would sort me, but so far I'm worse if anything 😭 only been awake for an hour and already been sick twice, and can't think of anything to eat which I could stomach.
