@Alicejj8x I was just stating mine but the fact is I am superstitious, still anxiously waiting for my scan and don’t want to feel like I have jumped the gun or tempted fate (with several people saying it after I said I had brought bras) as I am careful / sensitive about that!

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 17:48

@AliceRR
Oh no hun totally up to the individual isn't it :) if you want to buy bras that's your choice and no one else's :)
Some people can have strong opinions can't they but do what you feel is best.

When is your scan has it been organised yet. Hopefully after your scan your be able to feel a weight lifted xxx

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 18:16

@Alicejj8x my scan and booking in are this Friday when I will be 13+4 so it has been a long wait to see if everything is ok

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 18:31

@AliceRR I don't believe anyone said YOU were tempting fate they just said (including me) that they didn't want to as a personal preference. As I said previously it's each to their own and it's a personal preference.

You do what you want. No one else should matter.

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 18:32

On a boob related note has anyone had some serious veins appear through their nipples??

It had literally happened today. Looks so strange! 🙈

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 18:34

@Baby160P Got it - we have already covered this

Claire582 · 07/08/2018 18:44

What maternity bras have people found with the best comfort to nice looking ratio?!
I feel like I need to invest in some soon.... xx

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/08/2018 18:45

😂 was just reading about someone going bra less - I could NEVER go bra less and not because I wouldn't want to but I have a serious big boob, little boob thing! We are talking one boob a cup size bigger! I find it really embarrassing sometimes Blush

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 18:46

@claire582 I’ve got M&S ones, the ones jay come in S/M/L rather than proper bra sizes but they’re not exactly sexy

Fredthespider · 07/08/2018 18:52

I went for the mother care bras, 2 for £30. They're not overly sexy, but they do give good cleavage and support and are comfy.

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 18:54

@Baby160P
Yes to the veins!! I look like a road map 😂😂😂

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 18:55

@AliceRR
Well
Good luck and I'm
Sure all
Is fine x

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 07/08/2018 18:56

So glad my scan was okay!' Worked myself into such a worry. EDD now 21/02/2019. ❤️

I think via NUB it's a boy.

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 19:05

@LookingAtTheStars89 😂 that's me.
I hate wearing bras but I feel I have to as already e's.

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 19:06

@Alicejj8x they've been veiny a month or so but took me by surprise today when I got in the shower how many have appeared today!

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 19:23

@Baby160P
Ahaha I know what you mean! Some days there darker than others aren't they xx

Claire582 · 07/08/2018 19:24

Lovely scan @MrsSnootyPants2018 ! I'm rubbish at the nub theory haha

@AliceRR just had a look on M&S website, maternity bras and sexiness definitely don't go hand in hand! Grin haha. But I guess comfort is the way to go! My bras are starting to dig in and I tend to whip them off the moment I get home from work, which probably isn't the best idea...especially when we have people coming round to give us quotes for new windows and I'm siting there braless haha xx

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 19:32

@MrsSnootyPants2018 lovely scan! I agree with your theory!

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 19:52

@claire592 I think these are what I have

www.google.com/shopping/product/10163600722546141074?q=m%26s+maternity+bra&tbs=cat:214,vw:g,init_ar:SgVKAwjWAQ%3D%3D,ss:44&prds=epd:3425855782849218691,paur:ClkAsKraX16ZLWtaMsC-Kr16fW5ZwY_U89se77QCIfrF_nFXt8RhEpe1acaJ9wE0WE2Gj6x-v22BhBEgP1zEd-LouEecrWqTtEMflbicnN81HBx24tjEL8P8NhIZAFPVH71wg-Q7qGtGgQTHteuSqr3pxv4uCA,cdl:1,cs:1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjczaiWztvcAhVJsaQKHSz1CrAQgTYI9QM

Sexy isn’t my priority at the moment!

Notquiteagandt · 07/08/2018 19:53

Probally a daft question...but what is the differance between a normal and maternity bra?

Im really struggling to find any in my size (28g pre pregnancy) so debating weather or not to just size up in normal bras or if theres any benefit.

Yet to see any under a 32 too back. So if anyone else has pls shout out....

clairehr · 07/08/2018 19:59

@Notquiteagandt Try nursingbras.co.uk 😊

Surprisedmom · 07/08/2018 20:07

I’ve got away with not buying any maternity bras yet as my boobs haven’t grown too much. But I am a bit obsessed with having nice underwear (totally for me not anyone else) so did some research. This lady’s YouTube videos were pretty helpful and also covered whether things were better for big/small busts.

For what it’s worth i’m planning to get the Heidi Klum bras for aesthetically pleasing maternity bras.
bubblybrit · 07/08/2018 20:08

I’ve got my first NHS scan tomorrow (have had a private one at 10 weeks). At my booking appointment I was given 2 x urine sample tubes. The letter to confirm my scan date made no reference to any urine sample so are the tubes for a later appointment or am I still expected to bring a sample to my appointment tomorrow? Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies have had anything similar xx

Fredthespider · 07/08/2018 20:19

I wasn’t asked for a urine sample at the scan, but was told they’d want one at the 16 week appointment. I’m sure if they do need one you can get it when you empty your bladder after the scan 😂

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 20:20

@bubblybrit I'm currently carrying around urine sample pots too! . Midwife says she wants pee samples every time I see her. I double checked whether they needed pee samples at my 12 week scan and she said no.
