I love looking at all the scan pictures. So excited for ours on Monday, but nervous too. Is it bad that I haven't had any symptoms at all, other than a little tiredness? Should I be concerned? Or just grateful?!

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 14:51

@RedStef1983 I don’t have much in the way of symptoms now actually. I am still tired and exhausted (but have a cold which is contributing to that), sore nipples and have felt sick occasionally.

I am a worrier but we are at the stage where the risk of anything going wrong is much lower and symptoms often calm down anyway round about now.

Everyone is different when it comes to symptoms.

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 14:55

@RedStef1983
I have my scan Monday too :)
How far are you?

I wouldn't worry on symptoms I know I always worry and write bits on here lol but don't go by symptoms. Last Monday had a scan and I was convinced something had gone wrong as my symptoms stopped and bean was all fine in there wiggling around.

I think around 11/12 weeks symptoms do start to ease up too :)

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 15:01

Thanks for the response @AliceRR . I forgot about the nipples! Wink They have been sensitive too. I only found out I was pregnant 4/5 weeks ago and put the sensitivity down to my system being a bit all over the place as I only recently came off the pill. Counting down until Monday's scan appointment.

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 15:04

@Alicejj8x I'm 12+4 today according to the midwife but wouldn't be surprised if the scan shows that I'm a little less. It's hard to tell as I just can off the pill at the end of April so hadn't settled into a proper cycle yet. Apart from abit of tiredness (which I initially put down to the weather) and the nipples, I haven't felt any different at all.

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 15:06

@RedStef1983 I get it, mine is on friday but feel like I’ve been waiting ages

DragonFlew · 07/08/2018 15:19

I go a few days without symptoms and then have a day of throwing up and feeling nauseous. The one thing that hasn't really changed is my boobs and nips, are so sensitive. As soon as I take my bra off my boobs are just so so heavy. If anyone has ever breastfed before - they feel very full like I need to feed!
Once I've had my scan new bras are the first thing on my shopping list!

I'm 11+2 today

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 15:36

@DragonFlew I bought maternity bras within about a week or my BFP - I needed them!

craftymum01 · 07/08/2018 15:49

I went to Marks today and spent a small fortune on new maternity bras. Mine have been cutting in all over the place. It's not a good look!

DragonFlew · 07/08/2018 15:51

I'm trying to wait until after my scan. I need reassurance before I buy anything pregnancy related! Just me being superstitious!

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 15:53

@DragonFlew I got myself measured and bought some new bras at the weekend. So glad I did - I'd gone up 2/3 cup sizes. Just bought regular bras for now - holding out as long as possible before switching to maternity !

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 15:53

@AliceRR what's BFP?

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 16:08

@DragonFlew
I am the exact same I won't buy any bras till after my scan either lol

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 16:08

Although my boobs seem
Ok I mean defo
Got bigger but not sore at all :/

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 16:15

@DragonFlew @Alicejj8x I’m quite superstitious but I needed bras as mine didn’t fit and there seemed no point just buying normal bras a bit bigger as id need to keeping buying bras! Plus my boobs are sore and these are more comfy.

@RedStef1983 Big Fat Positive - positive test

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 16:23

@DragonFlew I'm the same. Seriously need maternity bras but I wont be getting any until after our scan 🙈

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 16:28

I can understand not buying anything pregnancy or baby related as I am also still holding out for first scan but don’t think I tempted fate by buying bras to fit me!

Bluelagoon25 · 07/08/2018 16:34

I got these bras a few weeks ago as mine were so sore...
They are so comfy and not expensive, plus come
with bra extenders.

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 16:37

Each to their own I guess.

I also think they're ugly with summer dresses lol. I'm letting them free instead 🙈😂

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 16:44

@Baby160P oh they’re definitely ugly with summer dresses / vest tops etc but they are all that will fit. I’m not going bra-less at work!

Baby160P · 07/08/2018 16:48

@AliceRR I agree although would worry someone would notice they're maternity. I've found bikinis good too. I'm fortunate enough to wear anything I wish in my job.

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 16:52

@Baby160P I hide my bra straps so it’s fine. I don’t dress too summery as I work on an office

curlywurlyy · 07/08/2018 16:54

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 17:06

@AliceRR no one said you was tempting fate - each to their own
