@clairehr wow how clear is the brain! I'm not a good guesser but I'd go for girl.

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/08/2018 13:02

clairehr 100% going for girl on yours, it's so clear!

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/08/2018 13:06

My best friend is also pregnant at the same time as us (it's her first) and she had her Downs Syndrome results back at 1 in 380. So it's still low risk, but obviously higher than the 1000's figures you see.

She's in Italy so they don't offer any further free screening (although you can pay).

I wonder what this means? She was initially worried but is over it now (she's a v positive person, much more so than me!). I think I would have to have the further screening if it was me.

Saying that I don't know what my risk was with DS, it just said "low risk" on the letter. But I wonder if it was a similar number, they would've flagged it...

bubblybrit · 07/08/2018 13:13

@clairehr. What a lovely scan. Will you be finding out the gender?

Bluelagoon25 · 07/08/2018 13:18

Here is our scan picture from last Friday, further along than I thought!
I am trying to do the nub theory but I can't figure it out... anyone got any guesses on what we may be having? 👶🏼x

clairehr · 07/08/2018 13:24

@bubblybrit We're not finding out, but happy for guesses 😍

@bluelagoon25 Beautiful scan 😍

bubblybrit · 07/08/2018 13:25

@Lulabell1. I’d love two as well but DH wants to see how we cope with one first! Ah I’m sorry to hear that you have been feeling so poorly. Hopefully not too long to go until you start to feel better x

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/08/2018 13:29

bluelagoon girl!

DragonFlew · 07/08/2018 13:32

Lovely scan pictures ladies!

I sit waiting for the post man everyday to bring me my scan appt letter - still not arrived yet! I just need to have something to look forward to! I am the most impatient person!

I want to tell my kids!! 😞

RedStef1983 · 07/08/2018 13:40

Hi Everyone! Smile This is my first ever post, and my first every baby! Blush Got my scan on Monday when I will be 13+3. Feeling excited/nervous.

Eyedontknow · 07/08/2018 13:58

Thanks for all your responses, it's reassured me a bit. I've got the anomaly scan in a few weeks so I'll try not to stress about it.

@bubblybrit Harmony test is too expensive, otherwise I'd probably go for it. By additional screening I meant scans, so possibly I will be offered them later in pregnancy?

@welshweasel I'm wondering if maybe they will just wait to mention it until later as they can't do anything at the moment about it, but may effect me later on.

@maxiflump1 I'm in my late 20s, so higher odds than it should be given my age. Confused

@Fredthespider yeah, that's what I'm thinking, that they will make a bigger deal of it later in pregnancy, but at the moment there is nothing to do as it wasn't low enough to make me high risk. My NT measurement was 1.6, so nothing unusual there.

@LookingAtTheStars89 when I got the NT combined test results, there was a letter that said I was low risk and a printout that listed my PAPP A and HcG levels, info about me, and the NT measurement. Then it gave the odds as calculated by the combined test for each.

bubblybrit · 07/08/2018 14:02

@Eyedontknow. Yeah it is pretty expensive. Did you decide to speak with your MW? Even to just put your mind at ease. Sure everything is fine though.

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 14:07

Lovely scan pics ladies xx

ValentinesBaby · 07/08/2018 14:08

Thank you MrsY87 thats reassuring! Been a very smooth pregnancy so far so guess I was due to get something aha it was a truly horrible feeling and couldn't catch my breath so hoping it won't happen again. Helps to know it happened to someone else xx

bubblybrit · 07/08/2018 14:11

@clairehr. Ah that’s exciting! I never thought I’d find out the gender but DH has no patience and was desperate to know lol 😀 I don’t even know what I’m looking for but just have a feeling that it is a girl x

SerialPlantKiller · 07/08/2018 14:14

Lovely pic @clarehr. We have the same due date 😄

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 14:15

Has anyone got achy legs feels like a dead leg in the tops of my thighs

hayley013 · 07/08/2018 14:20

Oh that's good @AliceRR hope they go well, our scan is Thursday at 13+1 xx

@clairehr that is a lovely photo, I'd guess a boy.

@Bluelagoon25 I think I'd guess girl for yours, lovely clear scan.

I woke up one day with palpitations, really strong, for around 6 hours then they just went away and had nothing since xx

AliceRR · 07/08/2018 14:26

@hayley013 oh so I am not so far behind you then. I just feel like everyone else has bad theirs and I’m still waiting! Good luck to you too

And congrats everyone on your scan results and lovely pictures!

@Alicejj8x I think I posted here before that I get pains on the inside of my thighs at the top as if I’ve been exercising or something but I havent

Alicejj8x · 07/08/2018 14:30

@AliceRR ahh doo you!!
Yeh feels like I've been at the gym or doing
Squats lol so bruised almost lol very strange

Bluelagoon25 · 07/08/2018 14:35

@hayley013 thank you! They've recently got a new scan machine which was amazing for us.
I really don't mind whether it's a girl/boy as it's our first but love trying to figure out. We are finding out beginning of next month and can't wait! Xx

Fredthespider · 07/08/2018 14:40

@Baby160P feel free to ask if you don't recognise any of the acronyms, it's so easy to forget that everyone has to be told once (or more in my case) before they know :)
