Had consultant appointment this afternoon. All is going really well, and she thinks I'll be allowed to go to term rather than be induced/have c-section at 38 weeks which is what the initial thought was (due to pre-existing conditions rather than any issue with this pregnancy). Still won't be allowed to go overdue though so 62 days at the most until I meet my baby!

MagicalCreatures · 01/10/2018 20:15

Oh my god - this is all getting very real isn’t it!!!!

Still can't get comfy at night, lol, little dude loves to kick and punch all night long. Finding it absolute hell on earth getting up for work! Will all be worth it though come December when I can finally meet my mini attacker! Last night we played him sone calming music in an attempt to settle him but he went even more crazy! So cute but so tiring and painful! Hope everyone is doing ok x

December2018 · 02/10/2018 08:32

The night time seems to be the worst, I just ache from head to toe, I couldn't even face work today so I rang them last night to cover it, I'm off till Thursday now and I NEVER! Ring in sick!
My hips are the worst when I roll over

December2018 · 02/10/2018 09:19

Magical... it's very very real!!!
I still find it strange when people ask me
"How long have you got left"
And I find myself stood there thinking what are they on about!.... and then I look down and then I realise I'm having a baby 😂😂
I forget! Or I'll get a glimpse of myself in a window or mirror out shopping with my waddle and bump and it still shocks me 😊

Stephisaur · 02/10/2018 11:03

@Athers666 just catching up, but in answer to your question - yes, they can be painful! Baby likes to hurl himself from one side of me to the other, it's quite jarring.

It's all starting to get very real now. Little man is very active, which is lovely, but is starting to get a bit draining.

I also have a BIG project to finish at work, and I'm kind of the only person here who can do it, so that's taking up a lot of my energy at the moment!

AGirlinLondon · 02/10/2018 17:29

Dog poo explosion in our house again last night - good practise for getting up in the night!

December2018 · 03/10/2018 10:36

What is all this crotch pain about!!!
Feels like I've straddled a horse for 3 weeks and not got off 😂

AGirlinLondon · 03/10/2018 10:59

Haha @December i have that too! I foolishly tried to get on an exercise bike at the gym last week - NO!!

December2018 · 03/10/2018 11:19

Haha! Yeah don't do that hun!
It literally feels like a small human is trying to escape! 😂

Athers666 · 03/10/2018 11:21

@MagicalCreatures I agree it's getting very real now...but also I feel like it's so far away as well, I swing from terrified to excited to fed up!

AGirlinLondon · 03/10/2018 11:24

Feels like mine is actually trying to claw his way out right now 😬

December2018 · 03/10/2018 13:54

Those words!!
"Claw his way out"
Seriously made me clench! Haha!
I'm terrified I'm not gonna lie..I said to a friend the other day.. "so what does labour feel like"
She said...
"Well imagine having a hedgehog shaped shit backwards"

..... seriously!... that's brilliant that love!!

I'm yet to hear a nice story it's all scary stuff!

MagicalCreatures · 03/10/2018 15:47

On my god girls, I’m in stitches!!!!!

@AGirlinLondon I get shooting pains even THINKING about an exercise bike! I'd forgotten the joy of lightening pains, such a nice treat for us in last trimester!

My physio thinks I have a trapped or pinched nerve in the pelvic area which is really adding to the fun ... 11 weeks to go!

AGirlinLondon · 03/10/2018 19:54

Hahahaha 😂

MagicalCreatures · 05/10/2018 20:19

Had my flu jab and whooping cough vaccine yesterday. One in each arm. Didn’t hurt at the time but I tried to sleep on my side last night and screamed. So rolled over onto the other side and screamed again. Flipping heck. It’s hard enough to get any sleep at the moment on my side with SPD, let alone with 2 dead arms aswell.
Oh the glamorous side of pregnancy x

Stephisaur · 05/10/2018 22:24

@magicalcreatures oh dear 😂

I’m currently sat with my legs elevated. My left ankle has been swollen since yesterday. Spoken to midwife who doesn’t think it’s pregnancy related. Thinking I might have buggered my ankle (yay, hypermobility! My ankles are literally so weak 😂)

MagicalCreatures · 05/10/2018 23:32

@Stephisaur oh you poor thing!!! 😂

I give up. Sleep is not my friend at the moment. Or shall I say it doesn’t like me. I can’t get any of the stuff. My eyes are bulging out of my head. And then the husband requests head rubs to relax him and I want to elbow him in the face 😂

OP posts:
December2018 · 06/10/2018 09:02

I'll join the sleep deprived bulging eye club too 😂
This little man kicked me so hard last night it made me throw up... fun times!
... and this fecking dog!! (Love her to bits)
She's just sooooo clingy she was on & off the bed all night and wandering around the room, there was a couple of fireworks by me tho and she hates them, I had my bloods taken yesterday and my Anti-D injection... jeeebs that was one long needle, I nearly died when he's pulled that thing out it was like a sword! 😂
I've got a 4D scan today ladies so I'll post a pic of him on here later on... I'm literally so exited!

emwithme · 06/10/2018 11:45

I actually slept last night! I mean, I still woke up at midnight, 3.30 and 6.00 for a wee but I managed to get back to sleep each time and then actually needed my alarm at 9.45! First time in weeks that's happened.

She turned round last night (On Monday consultant said she was head down but back-to-back, which felt right bearing in mind where kicks and punches were happening) but now she's facing backwards. Seeing what was clearly a shoulder move its way across my belly in a 10 minute period was freaky (and slightly uncomfortable!) and then she started punching me in the back!

Had my flu jab this morning. Nothing to report as yet (but I've had it for years due to asthma) but the post-jab McDonald's was epic!

Now to go home and sort the two giant Ikea bags of baby girl clothes a colleague gave me. I don't think I'm going to need to buy anything - another friend gave me 3 stack and stores full last week - of mostly unworn stuff!

Stephisaur · 06/10/2018 15:43

Sorry to hear a couple of you aren’t sleeping well :(

I do have a tip, but it isn’t for everyone 😂 a good shag before bed will have me out like a light for the night 😂 I’m not sure whether this is something to do with me, or whether it’s just because it knocks DH out too so he doesn’t disturb me during the night 😂

AGirlinLondon · 06/10/2018 20:48

I was scrolling through quickly and all I saw of the last few messages was ‘bulging eye club’ ‘sword’ and ‘shag’

I think we’ve all reached a certain point of pregnancy!! 😂

December2018 · 06/10/2018 20:53

My beautiful little man!
He looks like an actual human now 💙💙

@AGirlinLondon 😂 it’s the lack of sleep. Driving us all batty.

@December2018 he is gorgeous. Look at those cheeks. I can’t wait for our 4D scan next Saturday. Hope we get clear pictures like yours.

@Stephisaur maybe it’s all this sex your having that’s caused your dodgy ankle 😂 maybe you should take it easy. Haha.
My husband won’t come near me. I think he’s scared my waters will break all over him 😳
