JuicyLucy is - she's having accupuncture today and will probably be mainlining blue cohosh if still not in labour by saturday

Juicylucytoo · 07/06/2007 18:57

where do you get blue cohosh??

Sex tick
Acupuncture tick
Curry tick (in about an hour)
Pineapple (will the juice do??)

Am now bloody desperate and am even considering doing a handstand - just don't ask where that gem came from... would like a baby before I turn 50!!!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/06/2007 19:57

poor you JL come on baby jl it's time you were here fo mommy.

Congratulations minipop. Beautiful name. xxx

BefnalBub · 07/06/2007 20:36

JL - see TYG's post earlier - she took it...

"Hello. Just about to write birth story/ announcement.

Just to let you know, I think Blue Cohosh is the "herbal" version and Caulophyllum is the "homeopathic" version and I thin that makes a difference to the dosage. As it's quite potent, I found it hard to get hold of. I got it from Neals Yard, the 30th potency of it. There is a 200th potency, but tbh, I'd be afraid of it.

I took 2 caulophyullum 30 every 4 hours or so whilst up and about on Tues eve and all day Thurs. LG&T is sure it's the reason for the fast labour. It was fast, but VERY intense. I doubt it actually induces labour - I think it's more of a "if you're ready it makes things happen" kind of thing. You can order caulophyullum online if you have time. "

JL, this is what I did last fri and it started everything off.

Went on my hands and knees and cleaned the kitchen floor.

Then went for a walk around Victoria Park.

Then on all fours on a beanbag for a couple of hours.

Ate a very large Dominos pizza - am sure this is what did it!

Lots of luck.

ShowOfHands · 07/06/2007 20:47

Just popping in to sympathise with Juicy and to have a stern word with that little Pod of hers.

scootermum · 07/06/2007 22:00

Cmon baby juicy!!

BefnalBub · 07/06/2007 22:02

JL that probably explains why you didn't get the other email - its the only address I have for you so please resend the other one!

Juicylucytoo · 08/06/2007 09:45

Thanks Girls. Off for a scan (and am hoping to find a MW willing to give me a sweep!), then it's off to Neals Yard to find the Blue Cohosh. Will be doing as much walking as I can today to try and get things moving. 2 more days for him to make an appearance of his own accord.

scootermum · 08/06/2007 13:28

Hope it goes well this aft Juicy...

Juicylucytoo · 08/06/2007 19:01

CTG monitoring was fine. Lots of kicks from his Lordship.

Cervix is still posterior. PANTS!!!!

Now have a tincture including Blue Cohosh, so will see how it goes over the next 2 days.

daisyboo · 08/06/2007 19:53

Hi Juicylucy.... that you are still waiting....fingers crossed you'll have your bub by the end of the weekend!

congrats to everyone else....have been off having Emily (by c-section, hence the queue jump!) and there is loads to catch up on here and on my June thread!

Big bad labour vibes for Juicy!!

juliewoolie · 09/06/2007 08:37

Hi JL,

I was also posterior and still went into labour.

Really hope something works for you this weekend.

twelveyeargap · 09/06/2007 13:44

JL - my cx was only pronounced "half ready" 14 hours before I went into labour. I'm sure LG&T told me that her cx was posterior when she had her DD just hours before she went into labour.

Fingers crossed for you. x

Thanks for the posts girls. I've just been for a 2 hour walk post CTG (which was once again fine). Now knackered and just about to have some more of my fab tincture (yuk) and a big mug of raspberry leaf tea before I tuck into a big fat pineapple. You can't say I haven't tried!

Fingers crossed my cervix / uterus will get the message and swing into action tonight.

twelveyeargap · 09/06/2007 19:49

Good luck sweetie. I really, really hope it happens for you tonight. x

Mrsjaffabiffa · 10/06/2007 18:47
