why cant I put in a proper smiley face??

scootermum · 28/05/2007 20:18

Well my boobs havent grown at all!Very annoying..you'd think id at least get some bigger norks out of all this..

Could ask parents to take sofa bed..but it wouldnt be worth all the exaggerated stretching and groaning about bad backs they would do in the morning..plus if I do go into labour in the night would probably be easier to be downstairs in terms of not waking DD up and leaving to go to the hosp I guess..

Im trying to calm down about all of this and not let it upset me..but to date I just cant stop sobbing..also they were supposed to call before they set off so we would have some idea of when they were arriving, if they would need dinner or not etc..and of course they didnt bother to ring..they arent in so have obviously left, but god knows when so feel I cant go to bed till they arrive..gaaah!

Least your Mum can get email TYG..mine wouldnt have a clue so its either talk to her or nothing..[GRIN]

Promise will try to cheer up..think we've all enough misery without me banging on...

So glad you are all here and get it anyway..

I think that sounds quite promising BTW Jonah!

twelveyeargap · 28/05/2007 20:19

Moan away Scoot. You fit my mood very well!

OP posts:
madeindevon2 · 28/05/2007 20:25

yeah scoot. go ahead. thats what we all here for. to support and understand in hour of need.

InTheseShoes · 28/05/2007 20:33

Hey scoot - I'll make you laugh, my boobs are a 38L!!! Am usually a 36HH, and apparently nursing bras do fit smaller than other bras, which is universal to everyone, not just the norktastic. Don't feel bad about being upset, you're in a very hormonal and vulnerable place right now, and the best of us are cracking under the strain, without having to put up with what you are. Keep venting, you need to get it all out. Soon your lovely baby will be here and all this will be a dim and distant memory, I promise!

Jonah, it definitely does sound hopeful for you, I only had a show once I was actually in labour with ds, but it was very recognisable, not something that could be confused with ordinary discharge/whatever. I reckon you are next, and am expecting K's mum to keep me posted. I am at the hospital tomorrow, you're right, so I hope that I'll have some idea of what is going to happen next by about lunchtime.

I just read a birth announcement from Redkennedy, does this mean we are now The Manificent Seven??

juliewoolie · 28/05/2007 20:50

blimey you girls are way ahead of me with the boobs!

Right I am off for a bath and then to force my DP to have a little rumpy pumpy!

Sending you all labour vibes for tonight, come on LO's its time for you all tp make an appearance.

scootermum · 28/05/2007 20:56

No still the 8 I think..Redkennedy was in labour last week so she wasnt in the last ones standing...

Blimey, those are some huge norks Julie..puts my 36B's quite literally in the shade!

You lot are lovely..truly..where would I be without you all to moan at?Out on the street probably as DH would have lost his rag long ago!

I didnt have a show till well in labour with DD either Jonah..In fact I didnt even know before coming on here that you could have one and NOT be in labour..needless to say nothing to see here!

madeindevon2 · 28/05/2007 20:56

dont fancy my chances getting action out of dh tonight, hes been snoozing on the sofa since 7pm!!!

scootermum · 28/05/2007 20:57

Huge norks Intheseshoes, sorry-getting the norks mixed up!
Hope it goes well for you tomorrow BTW..assuming no baby overnight!

scootermum · 28/05/2007 20:58

Nor me MID...Not with parents in the house, yeeeuch!

madeindevon2 · 28/05/2007 21:01

hahaha. yeah with parents in the house. not good. have done in the past with my parents in house but have to say its not quite the same...normally try to avoid that. dh calls it "stealth shagging" hhahah

scootermum · 28/05/2007 21:25

Think we last did it age about 20 when we were still students...but DH's stealth has never been great anyway and with a humungous bump to get round I dont like our chances in a two up two down!

I cant find Redkennedys Birth announcement-what did she have?

scootermum · 29/05/2007 09:00

Morning all,

Just checking in..no baby for me during the night if course...

juliewoolie · 29/05/2007 09:23

Thank God its stopped raining!

Morning magnificent 8. Still no movement here.

Scoot hope you are feeling a bit better today, at least your parents can take your DD out and give you a bit of piece and quiet.

madeindevon2 · 29/05/2007 09:35

madeindevon2 · 29/05/2007 09:39

hi julie, hi scoot. anyone got any plans today? is dd any better this morning scoot?
not sure what im gonna do but should take advantage of a break in the rain? trot around the park maybe?

twelveyeargap · 29/05/2007 10:15

Morning. Have an appt at 1 for the day unit for monitoring.

DD sulking becuase it means she can't have a friend over today. Not that I want another moody pre-teen around my house anyway. One is bad enough. I'm going to have this all week now. It's half term and I don't want visitors and I don't want to go out much and DD will be welded to the sofa for the week watching tv.

Did you parents arrive scoot?

OP posts:
madeindevon2 · 29/05/2007 10:18

morning tyg. how long will you be monitored for? is this the 1st time? i know you overnow. just cant remember exactly how long

twelveyeargap · 29/05/2007 10:25

Yep, first monitoring. I'm 41+3 today. I think they're just doing a trace today; you know, foetal heartbeat and movement and that.

Have to go back again on Friday, though please God I will have had her by then! They'll do some sort of test to check the integrity of the placenta (I believe) on Friday as well. They might ask me to go in again on Sunday, but the induction is booked for Monday. However, if all is well and the baby is healthy, I might ask to put it off. Hard to know at this stage.

OP posts:
Minipop · 29/05/2007 10:27

Morning all.
Few BHs in night and achy back - but came to nothing, of course
Tried to sleep in as just so exhausted and my mother called at 9.30 'to see if anything had happened'. Again.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Maybe today something will happen for one of us? I am at the hospital tomorrow, so imagine I will get a sweep and a date for an induction.

'shudder'

twelveyeargap · 29/05/2007 10:30

"Yes Mother Minipop. Do you know, I actually had the baby three days ago and it COMPLETELY slipped my mind to call you. Fancy that!"
