DesperateDerlor · 29/05/2007 22:36

hollyandalice · 29/05/2007 22:36

DesperateDerlor · 29/05/2007 22:39

i'd best get some kip too my AN appt is at 0915 FFS!!!! - imagine making pg women get up and function at that time of the morning - shiteyshiteshite - night night x

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 29/05/2007 22:40

Nighty night lovely ladies....

you will not see me on here tomorrow as I am going to Sort Out My Back Room, including ironing and parework, if it's the last thing I bloody do.

As an incentive, I'm going to pile all the ironing on top of the monitor and keyboard so I have to do something about it before I can log in!!

riabutterflew · 30/05/2007 09:25

Can't believe I'm the first today.

So much for being nice to DH. It was ok and I managed to fob him off with his "ideas", but when I woke up at 2am in extreme pain and had a bath, then proceeded to throw up violently and then fidgeted all night timing pains where was he? Asleep. Didn't have a clue I'd been up all night. Not a twunt as such but a bit unobservant perhaps?

And now I have to function like a normal caring parent while he is at work (to give him credit he didn't want to go and is waiting for a call from me, but I think that's the crappy job, not just concern for me). DS1 is on the sofa under the clean throw which he claims was on the floor, despite being asked to get dressed, feed his animals and get his room sorted before I throw the contents away. DS2 is playing with the french doors which have been cleaned twice in a week and he has been told not to touch... It is going to be a fucking long day!

(I said I would be back to moan...)

Have a nice day, back at lunch, maybe.

riabutterflew · 30/05/2007 09:26

They have also been screaming at each other and fighting since about 7am... must go back and read lilkels post about Sienna again...

annobal · 30/05/2007 09:29

Ria. Is there anyone who can look after your kids while you have a rest? Or can you lie on the couch and put a dvd on? Hope you feel a bit better today.

riabutterflew · 30/05/2007 09:58

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

evenfattercatkin · 30/05/2007 10:37

Poor Ria, Any chance of them letting you have an hour or so of rest and feet up?
Bless you, hope your day gets better sweetie...

madeindevon2 · 30/05/2007 11:36

hi all. just thought i would pop head around to say hi as its looking more and more likely im gonna be having a june baby! im 41 weeks today and still no sign baby is ready to come out...

riabutterflew · 30/05/2007 11:47

hi madeindevon2. welcome.

Bit late to ask but why was Gordon drinking breast milk? What was his opinion?

still. Have MW appt later to check BP so aren't doing a lot. It's taken me all morning to clean the kitchen window (now I can spy on the neighbours without being bothered by dirt!).

I wish DH would come home and give me a hug, but if that happens he will most likely have walked out/been sacked so I had better be careful what I wish for.

Sorry to drag the tone down today.

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 30/05/2007 12:06

Hi madeindevon2....you're more than welcome...it has gone a bit quiet on your thread recently, but then again so has this one, but I think that's more to do with the half term holiday...a few of us have DCs to entertain. Mine is off out for the day with friends of ours who took pity on a poor stressed out heavily pg woman.

I should be doing some housework, but I just can't resist the lure of MN!!

Ria...sorry you're day is pants, and I didn't mean to rub in my good fortune. Send them out into the garden to get fresh air so you can sit with your feet up for a bit!

And have a virtual (((hug))) from me!

DesperateDerlor · 30/05/2007 12:17

g'day,
Ria you poor soul - how's things now? hope you resting as much as poss - hope some kind friend/relative has your boys and you are sleeping soundly x
well i've had good news today (shut your eyes madeindevon2!!!!) MW says baby is 4/5 engaged and has put her money on me having a BOY on Friday!!!!! - just in case she is wrong though she has promised me a membrane sweep next Wed morning to get things going!!!
oh how my mood has lifted!!!
I LOVE MY MW!!
i've been getting DH to rub my reflexology - ovary/womb part of my ankles, every evening - seems to be working, well that and the mango/pineapple juice, sideways stair walking and squatting!!!

DaisysGotSausageFeet · 30/05/2007 12:19

Derlor...let's hope she's right, about Friday if not the boy!!

DS and I bounced up and down on the exercise ball vigourously for 20 mins this morning....all its done is aggravate my sciatic nerve [ouch emoticon]

DesperateDerlor · 30/05/2007 12:22

yeah but did you "bounce on your ball till your bum got so sweaty that you fell right off???"
have you tried just rocking babk and forward on it - it's supposed to gently move baby into position - then bounce!!

DesperateDerlor · 30/05/2007 12:24

oh MW also thinks baby is about 8lbs. - if Friday comes and goes without an appearance from my baby i'll cry

DesperateDerlor · 30/05/2007 12:30

right - time to get DD ready for playgroup then i've got bills etc to pay - must be organised for Friday!!!!
back later x

riabutterflew · 30/05/2007 12:31

Congrats derlor. You wouldn't ever expect the thought of a membrane sweep to cheer you up would you?! On what basis has your MW said a boy on Friday? I was hoping to see my proper MW today but she is still off sick so I don't know who it will be (hopefully not the one from last week, but knowing my luck at the moment...). I want to ask about birth plans and stuff, as haven't bothered because I don't know how not-long they expect me to wait before coming home or anything (and if all I'm going to get is sarky comments about crystal balls it's not going help much is it). 37 weeks now. Bugger.

Well done on off-loading your DS daisy. I am jealous. Mine are fighting over lunch now - I don't care, they will be going upstairs to their roms shortly as DS1 will NOT have done any tidying and DS2 can jolly well have a nap.
I did have the offer of a visit to a friends today but had to arrange the MW appt at last mintue as I forgot. I don't want to send the boys on their own because I might have to return the favour soon and I can't face that for MONTHS. (She wouldn't expect me to but I would feel I have to - will explain later, maybe under a different name!)

foxybrown · 30/05/2007 12:51

oooh Derlor! How exciting!

Ria, sorry that you are feeling crappy and miserable. FWIW mine are left to their own devices

ha ha ha! having just said that, have just discovered they have been taking the tops of the glitter-glue pens and standing on them on the floor in the conservatory.

Little fuckers!

foxybrown · 30/05/2007 12:57

I'm off to the gym. The creche can have the buggers for a couple of hours!

Later ladies!

foxybrown · 30/05/2007 13:02

Derlor, before you go and have your baby, tell me - were the chocolates worth the tenner?

I've just ordered 2 packs (but only to make the p&p more worthwhile!)

BadZelda · 30/05/2007 13:52

God I'm knackered now: cleaned flat from top to bottom and did the grocery shopping at tescos. DD is now having a nap after rice crispies and rasperries for lunch (got back late). No wonder you spend half the day feeling suicidal Ria - can I suggest that you STOP cleaning your house and spend the afternoon with a good book and a box of chocolates instead?

DesperateDerlor · 30/05/2007 14:40

Ria have things calmed down? i hope so and i also hope that as soon as DH gets in tonight you go for a long bath then straight to bed, in fact i don't hope you do i demand you do!!
Re MW and her Friday/boy prediction i think it is just that - intelligent guess (but mostly just a guess) or maybe she just said it to shut me up and she's on holiday next week or something so knows she won't be there to hear me moaning about STILL being pg!!
Foxy how's your gluey floor - least the glitter will look pretty!! and yes the chocolates i got were well worth £7 - just wish i'd thought of ordering 2 lots now
When you go to the gym what EXACTLY do you do? should i be impressed at your fitness or are you sitting in a cafe drinking gin?!?!?!
