Yay Tegan, every day without AF is a step in the right direction!!!

Beansprout, what a lovely thing for DH to say . Beth Ditto, a stunner...

Have found my old raspberry leaf tea from pg with DS. It expires Jan 2008 so will just about see me through, if I am due right at the beginning of Feb. Not that I need it for ages but glad I kept it now .

beansprout · 01/06/2007 08:32

How are you today milf?

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 08:33

Hello all Feb people

How is everyone feeling.Apart from slightly sore boobs I am feeling totally fine. Which is not good in my experience but I am only 5 weeksw.............

Morning all!
Hope it's good news for Tegan and Milf, fingers crossed for you both. Boobs hurt especially the nipples, feels like they have been in a vice (was going to say clamp but thought decided you'd think i was v strange!!- what I'm trying to say is they feel bruised). Not feeling too bad generally, quite tired but am not sleeping well at moment so was thinking that it's that rather than pregnancy. Had two miscarriages between dds so would welcome some symptoms to reassure me. Feel a bit flat, the exitement is still there but am starting to worry about what can go wrong. I guess mixed emotions are par for the course!

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 09:05

Meant to say to Egg, glad you're an older mumi too, am obsessed about my age I think! No -one else seems to be though! I think we will need some extra tests but these days older mums are v fashionable - thats what my doc told me anyway!

Egg · 01/06/2007 09:06

I am definitely in the worrying stage at the mo. Don't really have any symptoms, although think boobs are starting to hurt a bit, but might be because i keep tweaking them to check . Feel a bit tired but also not sleeping that well like gingermumi. DS is being very very naughty this morning so I am about to take him to the swings before we go to docs.

Milf please let us know how you get on at the EPU.

Hoping to hear from Scorpio soon.

Egg · 01/06/2007 09:08

I AM NOT OLD!!!! Well, I am 31. I did say my mum was a bit older when she had me. Is 31 old? Arrrgghh. Nothing wrong with being older of course .

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 09:09

Sorry, that should have been to beansprout - told you i was tired! Am aging you before your time egg! Thanks for comment about your mum though.

Egg · 01/06/2007 09:10

Tis ok. I am not that young either... Unlike Scorpio who is a mere baby herself!

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 09:16

31 is certainly not old hun! I wish i was still your age! It's the hormones, tireness, general madness, teenagers, the cat.... brain still in bed i think! I realsied as soon as i posted message.

CountTo10 · 01/06/2007 09:27

Hi everyone! Found out yesterday that I'm pg so will be due early feb which knowing luck will end being on my birthday(8th)!!!

Probalby only about 3 weeks if that so still very early days. Getting strong symptoms though so feeling quite positive. So far had the funny taste, some nausea, sudden tiredness and had the first night of imsomnia and strange sensation in boobs last night. It's so weird as my first pg was unplanned but this one we planned. We have a ds already of 2.7.

So looking forward to being able to moan about stretchmarks, lardiness and strange cravings with everyone over the next 9 mths!!!!

teenagersagain · 01/06/2007 09:42

Hi, sorry to gatecrash, as I should be on the january thread...(expecting my 4th child 8th jan) but it seems rather busy & I just thought I'd let gingermumi know she's not alone in feeling old as I will be 43 when this babe arrives & I also have ds of 17, 14 & dd of 4....how mad are we??
New to mumsnet, but glad I joined as I haven't told anyone yet, dp wants to wait until we are in the clear as he puts it, so here goes.. YIPEEE...I'm pregnant!!

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 10:03

congrats to count to ten!
Teenagersagain - thanks for that. Mad yes! But isn't it so cool too?! Am pretty new to mumsnet too but am finding it really good to people in similar situations to share all the emotions etc with.

teenagersagain · 01/06/2007 11:55

Oh Yes, yes...very cool, hope I can keep mine!
Desperate to tell a couple of friends, but not fair to my children as they have to know first, but very worried about how they are going to react!

Egg · 01/06/2007 12:52

Hello CountTo10 and congrats. Welcome to the Feb thread. I saw your BFP announcement on the TTC thread earlier and hoped you would find your way over soon.

I saw the GP this morning who says I am due on 2 Feb. She also said that having AF pains at this stage is very "typical" of a normal pregnancy and nothing to worry about, as long as there is no bleeding.

beansprout · 01/06/2007 13:36

Welcome Countto10 and congratulations!!

Er, can we please stop discussing whether or not 31 is old?!!

No symptoms here but am ok with that as they really aren't that great when they arrive. This is going to be the best I will feel for about the next 2 years so I am going to make the most of it!! Am going to see the GP next week, which feels quite exciting. I made the appt last month but had to cancel when I m/ced...

Any news from Scorpio? [hopeful]

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 13:38

BEansprout no symptoms here yet either which is making me paranoid. Just did another test to ressure myself I wasn't imagining it all. Very strong line came up immediately so I guess that's good........

beansprout · 01/06/2007 13:47

That's v good VV! Really don't worry about symptoms, it's entirely typical for them not to arrive just yet. It's a good omen for a nice easy pregnancy!

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 13:50

I'd love to have your confidence beansprout. By this stage with DS (5 weeks) I looked and felt dreadful..........what were you like in your first pregnancy (you have a DS don't you? or am I imagining that?)

OP posts:
Egg · 01/06/2007 13:51

Scorpio got a BFN this morning (see TTC June thread), but she is upbeat and not worried as she has not been trying long. Her AF has not arrived yet though...

Hello VV, was wondering where you went! You started the thread and then have been very quiet, glad all is ok. I still have the other test from my pack, and was going to do it this morning before I saw GP, but figure I will leave it until I have any reason to worry a bit.

So for those of you with more than one already, how *on earth" do you cope in the early days with a newborn and a demanding toddler?

beansprout · 01/06/2007 14:01

VV - I'm not overly confident, but I am trying to be positive. It's taken us a year to conceive this time (as opposed to the first time of asking with ds!) so am still very relieved and grateful about my bfp and am determined to enjoy it! I know I don't have any control over it now, so am taking each day as it comes (which happens when you get to my age )

CountTo10 - my ds is 2.7 too. Keep telling myself that 3 years is a nice gap!
Egg - I have no idea how people cope with two, I still find one hard enough. Wil be cross examining MNers when the time comes to work out tactics.

Will keep things crossed for Scorpio.

Any news from milf?

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 14:06

Beansprout I am sure you are not as old as me.............

OP posts:
beansprout · 01/06/2007 14:15

I'm 37 (38 in Nov). What about you VV?

VictorVictoria · 01/06/2007 14:16

I am 39 next month............

beansprout · 01/06/2007 14:17
