Hi guys, nice to see so many happy and positive messages

Just to confirm that I won't be on this thread any more as I went to EPU this morning and they confirmed that I am miscarrying

Good luck to all of you and hopefully I'll be posting with happier news in the future!

beansprout · 01/06/2007 16:39

I'm so sorry milf. Take care of yourself xx

Egg · 01/06/2007 17:26

Oh milf, so sorry, I didn't give up hoping. Hope to see you cropping up on a new ante natal board really soon .

tegan · 01/06/2007 19:42

Milf I feel so bad for you.

I too have bad news girls, AF arrived today and we are totally gutted.

miniandme · 01/06/2007 19:43

Egg i will be 31 too once baby is born,is that considered old now??? I was 19 when i had my first lol ,have ds1 who will be 12,ds2 who will be almost 10 and dd who will be 5 so loads on my hands to keep busy!
Have been today with new fiance to pick up our engagement rings which was made so much more special by the unexpected BFP we got on tuesday.
As for symptoms have been feeling a bit dodgy the last couple of days and the tiredness is still a killer!

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 20:11

Hi there, can I join you? I'm pretty new to mumsnet.

AF not due until tomorrow but after having an implantation bleed and period type pains at the weekend I tested on Tuesday and got a faint line. Tried a clearblue digital on Wednesday and BFP! Due 9th Feb.

I am 31 (will be 32 when this one arrives) and have 2 dcs, ds 1 who is 4yrs6mo and ds2 who is 2yrs7mo.

Trying to keep this quiet. Don't know how I'm going to manage to not tell my mum - dh thinks I'll have told her by the end of this weekend!

Here's hoping we all have a happy nine months (despite no booze at xmas!)

Egg · 01/06/2007 20:19

Tegan so sorry your AF arrived. At least it is here before you tested, and you can now get on with TTC in June, but still so disappointing .

Welcome to Rozzy! Great name . I was planning on keeping quiet but have now told 6 people - ooops.

Miniandme - HOW exciting you are picking up engagement rings. You really are having a fab week! My friend got engaged and got BFB in same week a few months ago.

And 31 is clearly a great age . I will be 32 when the baby is born.

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 20:27

Thanks egg.

I suspect I won't manage to keep it as quiet as I would like!! Just would really like to tell dcs first but can't do that until I want everyone to know - they can't keep a secret! Also want to wait until after the scan cause wouldn't want to have to explain to them if anything went wrong.

I agree 31 is a great age - really looking forward to Feb - and definitely looking forward to the improved maternity pay!

fatoldmoose · 01/06/2007 20:31

Welcome to Rozzy! There are now 3 of us with 2.7yo ds's!

Miniandme - congratulations on your engagement! How exciting! Will you get married before or after Feb?!!

This early running to fat is getting out of hand. How can my trousers be tight at 5 weeks? I feel like a fat old fraud (seriously). It's getting me down a bit. Also, don't want people guessing I am preg at 8 or 9 weeks as I am carrying so much flab it's obvious

beansprout · 01/06/2007 20:36

Sorry! FOM was me!!

Egg · 01/06/2007 20:43

ROFL beansprout at FOM. Tis good to have a sense of humour during (and after) this pregnancy lark. Well, I have just polished off a chocolate eclair (my god it was good), after a large meal, so I think this pregnancy could see me gaining a few more pounds than last time.

Feeling left out that I dont have a 2.7yo DS. He does look a bit mature for his age, perhaps I can pretend .

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 20:46

LOL beansprout.

I know what you mean about not wanting people to guess early. I'm worried that with this being number 3 and stomach muscles completely shot I'll start to show earlier this time. My plan is to try and stay off the chocolate for the next few weeks so I'm losing fat whilst gaining baby! Not sure if this'll work though as ate like a pig with the first 2 once morning sickness kicked in and have a dipped flake in my cupboard calling out to me

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 20:49

Egg cross posted with you.

What will be the age gap between your dc? I have 23 months between my 2 and they are adore each other.

beansprout · 01/06/2007 20:51

Egg - your ds can be an honorary member of our 2.7 gang.

I've been trying the eat healthy option but it's all still appearing from somewhere.
All this talk of dipped flakes and chocolate eclairs is making me hungry....

Please all tell me your trousers are too tight as well.

Actually, there's a piss poor porn channel, right there.

mummyto2littleprincess · 01/06/2007 20:54

my dd2 is 2.6

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 20:54

So sorry for milf and tegan.
When my dds were small (3 years between them) i never really thought about how i'd cope. Somehow you just do. I think having one at playgroup/nursery probably helped make it easier, now I'm thinking how do i cope with teenagers and a baby! Brought it home to me last night when dd2 (16) had massive row with ex-boyfriend on doorstep - thought (not only must neighbours love this) this will be fun when trying to get a baby to sleep! Big dd (19) is off to uni soon so all i'll have to worry about is has she eaten..is she safe...has she paid her rent...mmmm

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 20:57

Good news is that these loose smock like tops seem to be fashionable at the moment. Planning on buying a few to try and get to 12 weeks quietly! I've put on a few pounds over the last year so trousers are quite smug already - don't think it'll be long before I'm struggling to get them closed! Shouldn't complain - I was desperate to look pregnant with ds1 but didn't get a nice bump until around 5 months.

Egg · 01/06/2007 20:58

PMSL laughing. My trousers are not tight but only because I am in my pjs that I could still fit into when 9 months pregnant last time.

Oh Rozzy, the age gap will be 23 months and 1 week! I did always want a two year gap so cant complain.

I really really need to start eating more healthily. Last time I was quite healthy except for the litre of chocolate milk per day.

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 20:58

Thought it was just me with the tight trousers thing! Feel really fat and all usual summer tops dont seem to meet my jeans. Was hoping not to have to tell work yet but might have to sooner than i thought.

Egg · 01/06/2007 20:59

LOL at smug trousers rozzy!

rozzyraspberry · 01/06/2007 21:00

Ginger my ds2 starts nursery in January so am thinking this will definitely make things easier when baby arrives.

ds1 also starts school Aug 08 so will make it easier. It'll also be nice to have some time at home with him before he starts school when I start maternity leave.

gingermumi · 01/06/2007 21:01

Tried smock-type tops on today .. i looked properly pregnant so didn't buy them went for a longer style camisole thing in newlook. Very pretty but still think i look more than 5 and bit weeks!

Egg · 01/06/2007 21:01

Actually you're right, there are loads of lovely smock tops. My sis was wearing one the other day and I wondered if she was pg though (she isn't). Saw a lovely dress in Next earlier, all flowing and smashing, thought it would look good throughout summer whilst I am a bit fat but not HUGE.
