I looked at your post beansprout and wondered why you were talking about insomnia. Then I realised the time of your post . I have not been sleeping all that well as seem to get AF pains in evening and at night. Was really worried last night as they seemed so bad. Wish they would GO.

Have docs appt tomorrow morning to get myself into the system etc.

Hope everyone is well this morning. DH managed to spill a beer last night (after I was in bed) and wiped it a bit with my clean tea towel, but left the rest which has gone all under DS's playpen, everything is soaked and it all stinks, which is making me feel bleeurrrggh .

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 31/05/2007 09:14

I am having a crap morning, been bleeding slightly so maybe not to be for me. Did another test and line is fainter than before so who knows.

DearBeatrice · 31/05/2007 09:38

hi everyone

just a quick one as boss nearby! totally sympathise re insomnia, af pains at night & fear of this pregnancy not sticking.

dh can't get over the fact that when i got bfn's i retested and retested; now i've got bfp i had to be persuaded to do a 2nd test. i'm scared though; in case i get a neg. no af as yet (now past longest ever cycle) but i'm still worried.

have on/off symptoms and think i'm 4+4 (if that means four weeks four days).

went to gp and saw lovely old semi-retired male doctor; he did indicate I had little choice where to go BUT i plan to see a lady gp next week to discuss things, but i'm registered and it's 'in the system'.

beansprout · 31/05/2007 10:18

Really sorry to hear that milf. Hope you are ok, please let us know how you are getting on.

Insomnia indeed - have actually been awake since 4.15 . Am excited that some of you have been to docs already. Think I may phone today to make an appointment.

Egg · 31/05/2007 11:04

Oh Milf fingers crossed it is just a small bleed and leads to nothing and all is well. Will be thinking of you and hope you are ok.

DearBeatrice · 31/05/2007 12:07

milf, sorry just popped back and our posts crossed. thinking of you.. keeping everything crossed you're okay

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 31/05/2007 12:12

Not looking good, still bleeding and getting heavier... very, very gutted... will sign of this thread for now and wish the rest of you the best of luck. Hope it all goes to plan!

beansprout · 31/05/2007 12:37

milf - I'm so sorry. I had this last month and know how it feels. Please take good care of yourself xx

Egg · 31/05/2007 13:14

Really sorry milf. As beansprout said, please take care of yourself and we will look out for you on the March thread. Have you got your DP / DH there with you?

gingermumi · 31/05/2007 14:00

Firstly, look after yourself Milf.
Can't believe how good this site is. Posted a couple of times when i was trying to get pregnant but am so glad i came on here today. I have two teenagers (16 and 19) so in some ways this is like being pregnant for first time. First baby for DH, he's coping remarkably well really. It's so good to know others are exited about pregnancy at such an early stage. Am due 1st Feb. Have been to doctor, having done 4 positive tests - digital one made me believe it was true! she was really helpful and pleased for us as we had been trying for over a year. We were just about to see infertility specialist as I have a large fibriod attached to the top of my womb and she thought that it might be why I couldn't get pregnant. Have just booked early scan to make sure all ok. Nice to meet you all

beansprout · 31/05/2007 14:02

Welcome ginger!!

So, what's the official line. Can I have a bump/preg weight already, or am I just a fat old moose? Am at work and have stomach ache from breathing in all day!

Egg · 31/05/2007 14:04

Hello gingermumi - congrats! Glad you found your way over and sorry you came at a sad time with milf's news.

With DS we tried for 18 months and were also being referred for tests when I fell pregnant on hols.

Have you told your older children yet?

Egg · 31/05/2007 14:07

My belly is definitely bigger than normal. It might be that I have been too tired to exercise as well, which doesn't help.

So yes, you can have a preg bump already, and you are NOT a fat old moose (although maybe you are, you need to post a pic on profile so we can judge for ourselves ).

gingermumi · 31/05/2007 14:36

Thanks all. Erm...am a bit sketchy myself (had to ask same thing on another thread)- it's been a long time since i was pregnant but have to admit i do seem to have a bit of a bump already. It can be fluid caused by hormones, knackered muscles or, as is probably so in my case, a mixture of both plus the fibroid. Big children knew straight away, bit of a fiasco really! Had been to docs for blood tests for infertility and when i rang for results they said they were delayed because they had been referred to a consultant. I panicked and then when i calmed down realised logically it could be because i was pregnant. Did test (positive) and ran out to DH who was in garden shed (typical!) closely followed by eldest who was shouting 'what's wrong, what's wrong!' Had to tell her there and then and of course then the other one too. They are both really pleased. Is anyone on this thread as old as me (41)? No fat old moose on here, we're pregnant! Have got to go and see my grannie now, will speak soon.

Egg · 31/05/2007 14:39

I'm not quite 41 (am 31 in fact), but my mum just turned 42 when she had me and I turned out rather perfect so it is a good age to be pg...

Bet the older kids are delighted. They are old enough not to be put out by it I imagine.

beansprout · 31/05/2007 14:44

gingermumi - I'll be 38 this year, so am up there with you!

Right, not fat then. Really could do with a few more weeks of keeping this to myself though. Summer clothes are not so easy to hide behind.

Egg - will try to post some pics soon so you can assess me in the rank old moose stakes.

beansprout · 31/05/2007 14:45

Hope older kids react well. Dsd did not but that may have had something to do with the step bit. She loves ds now though.

mummyto2littleprincess · 31/05/2007 15:28

found out that im due around 13th jan not feb good luck everyone better join the jan thread

miniandme · 31/05/2007 16:33

Has anyone else been symptomatic already? I have been mega tired which is why i tested in the first place, but was feeling rather queasy this morning too while otu shopping ,also have boobs that feel but dont look lol like melons!!
And yes a very defo swelly belly especialy as the day goes on

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 31/05/2007 18:31

Saw GP this afternoon, got appointment at EPU tomorrow. Said might be some hope as no clots and fresh red blood (sorry if TMI) but probably an early miscarriage.

tegan · 31/05/2007 19:05

Well I still have no af but will try to occupy my mind until monday and if still no af then I will retest and hope for the best.

Egg · 31/05/2007 19:32

Milf will cross everything for you. And you tegan, I was really glad I managed to hold out until three days after AF was due, I would have been disappointed if I got a BFN at the weekend, so would probably have drunk a bottle of wine to cheer myself .

Miniandme, I hope my boobs start to look like melons soon! They are starting to hurt a bit now, which is good.

beansprout · 31/05/2007 20:25

Stop press!! Don't worry ladies, I've just been talking to dh about my rapidly expanding waistline and he said, "it's ok, fat is in at the moment, look at Beth Ditto" .

This is what passes for support in my house

beansprout · 31/05/2007 20:26

milf - sorry, best wishes for the EPU in the morning. Please let us know how you get on.

tegan · 01/06/2007 06:52

Good morning ladies just thought I would let you no STILL AF but still going to wait to test.
