Have a great weekend all those lucky people who are going away and welcome new mumstobe!

Hi,

So great to have Mumsnet - things have moved on so much since I was pregnant last time - which is nearly 7 years ago!!!!

Contacted my local NCT just casually to enquire about joining - did not do this the first time which I think was a mistake - could not believe that they are almost full for people around my due date - whatever happened to waiting until at least the first trimester had past! These mums are obviously uber organised.

My DS obviously suspects something as he keeps asking if there's a baby in my tummy - call it childhood intuition ... extraordinary really. I'd love to be able to blurt it out to him right this minute but I'm erring on the side of caution vis a vis what has happened in the past. Still only 3-4 weeks to go - once 12 week scan is done and then I think I can start to talk about it.

Friend told me today I look absolutely wiped out - on hot sticky Central Line this morning with no seat and swore I was that close to throwing up everywhere. Looking forward to this horrible sickness subsiding soon.

Fruit, bread and cereal seem to be the only palatable things.

I keep getting thrown off this thread think it may be because we are nearing 1000 messages. Any ideas for new thread names?

Egg · 29/06/2007 17:43

Oh god, don't want to lose everyone at the end of the thread. I am crap at inspiration, one of you will have to think of something "clever and witty".

Muthatobeagain, the Central Line is hell even when you are NOT pg. Whereabouts do you live? I used to have to get the Bakerloo line, which was not so bad, could hang round the very end of the platform and usually get a seat.

Egg · 29/06/2007 17:44

Oh and yes, last time i just squeezed onto an NCT course when I was about 14 weeks pg. Tis ridiculous. Best thing I ever did though as I have made some lovely friends from my classes, who are all still v close now .

Redbush · 29/06/2007 18:56

Hi all - have to say everybody sounds quite upbeat today - but then it is Friday and seems as if lots of you are up to nice things for the weekend. Egg how lovely that you're moving to Winchester - haven't been there for a while but it's so pretty. I've had a lovely afternoon at the park with DD1 and then when we got home she's been practising her standing and is SO chuffed with herself . I'm 41 as well gingermumi - gut feeling is there's only 1 but all will be revealed in about 6 weeks time. Likewise don't want to loose contact with everybody - how about bumpety bump or Summer time clues?

bubblesbabe · 29/06/2007 19:27

I absolutely love Winchester too so think you are v lucky egg.
Join the oldies club redbush - i'm 40 (and feel it at the moment!) Mind you they say 60 is the new 40 so that makes us 20 I guess.

samsmam · 29/06/2007 19:31

Shall we do 'Bumpety Bump- Feb 2007'

I'll link it and if someone wants to change it they can.........

samsmam · 29/06/2007 19:34

Bumpety Bump- Feb 2008

Of course I mean 2008 not 7!!!!

gingermumi · 29/06/2007 21:48

Hey ladies.

Feeling crap again, most i could manage was supermarket and sofa today. I think i might have said, but i did my degree at King Alfs in Winchester - it's a lovely place. Not too far from me so still visit sometimes. Glad i'm not the only one daft enough to get pregnant over 40!

do i need to go to a different place for this thread now - i'm a bit of a numpty with this sort of thing?! Thanks

CountTo10 · 29/06/2007 21:52

sorry you're still feeling rough. Just click onto Samsmums link and it'll take you through to the new thread. Once you get near 1000 posts, the thread starts misbehaving!!!
