The first thread is almost full, so here we go: post here if you're expecting a baby in January 2019!

Good work Rose very impressive 😂 I had vanilla ice cream for breakfast as it’s the only thing that doesn’t go straight through me at the mo!

Upsydasiy · 14/06/2018 14:26

Sent my request to the group 😊
If anyone knows me please don’t out me 🙈😂

Upsydasiy · 14/06/2018 14:34

I’m so tired 💤
Excited for the return of my energy now. Literally no idea how I’m going to cope with 12.5 hour shifts when I go back to work when I can’t even get through the day without a nap 🙈

Leliana · 14/06/2018 14:44

@byanyothernamerose That's brilliant 😂😂😂 I had a very poor appetite until 8 weeks, then suddenly became starving at all times - I ate an entire six pack of Hula Hoops for my lunch on Monday Blush I struggle to eat a big meal all in one go, but I'm always snacking!

Frenchiemamax · 14/06/2018 14:46

Jebbs that is good to know! Thank you! How many weeks are you now?

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 14:59

@byanyothernamerose thats so funny!! i always wake up STARVING!!! and then snack through out the day rather than 3 main meals!! dont worry its normal im sure haha

@lg93 havent got anything yet for the group so if you have done something im not ignoring xxx

Upsydasiy · 14/06/2018 15:03

I’m jealous of everyone’s returning appetite. Mine has well and truly gone. Sickness means I just don’t fancy anything 😩

Leliana · 14/06/2018 15:09

I really fancy McDonalds at the moment, but I live in a little town in the sticks so our nearest one is 20 minutes away... laziness is prevailing! There is normally a McDonald's 5 minutes from my work, but it's closed for refurbishment at the moment - heaven knows what my waistline would be like if it were open - I think I'd be going there for lunch every day at the moment!

Weirdly, my nausea is worse than ever this week - perhaps because I'm on antibiotics? For the past two mornings, I've been retching every time I try to brush my teeth. Overall, though, I've had a very fortunate pregnancy so far - mustn't grumble.

@LG93 - I've sent a request too.

I'm the same in terms of the hunger, having to eat significantly more snacks to get through the day. The Pret mixed berry muffins are lethal. So delicious!

loulalou · 14/06/2018 15:23

Hi, can I join? I've been lurking for some time and decided I need to join this lovely group. I'm 9 weeks today due 17th Jan with baby number 3.

Leliana · 14/06/2018 15:38

Welcome, @loulalou! You must be a dab hand after two previous children!

Feeling a bit out of practice @leliana they're 5 and almost 8 so it will be very strange going back to the baby stages again.

Jebbs · 14/06/2018 15:56

@Frenchiemamax I'm 10+2 now and it's been dying down for the last week. The only nausea I've had in the last couple of days was more psychological than anything else (previous vom session was after eating fish and that was last night's dinner... felt sick at the thought as worried it would happen again but the actual meal and evening went very well so I think it was the worry causing it rather than me actually still having nausea).

Feeling a lot more hungry too but worried about putting weight on... Result is that I've got a pile of fruit in easy reach at the office and nothing else to snack on so I can only eat healthy stuff! Not sure if my colleagues have noticed as I don't usually have food at my desk. Which reminds me... snack time ;-)

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 16:01

Im craving spicy food, anything from mustard to hot sauce to curry or chilli ... anything fairly bland in flavour is making me gag!! has to be very salty or spicy or sweet!! ...

Frenchiemamax · 14/06/2018 16:06

Jebbs I know what you mean about 'thinking yourself sick'!! You're a week ahead of me and giving me hope that the nausea will vanish soon Smile

jellyfish2210 · 14/06/2018 16:17

@LJFM2B I am the total opposite. Anything strong smelling or tasting and I just can't stand it! I'm 11+2 and my "morning" sickness has finally subsided but I get really nauseous around 3-4pm and it lasts until bedtime. I've been trying to eat a bigger meal at lunchtime as I have struggled to keep my evening meal down let, that's when I actually manage to eat it!

LeeCee · 14/06/2018 16:42

Just joined the Facebook group. Somehow that feels like it makes this all very real! 😂

Jebbs · 14/06/2018 17:00

@LJFM2B Oh, I know what you mean about spicy food... What makes it more complicated is that DH doesn't like it so the chilli mill has never been used so much!

Merrz · 14/06/2018 17:26

So good to hear the nausea is starting to go for some of you. I'm hoping mine goes soon. Struggling with meals but feel really sick if I let myself get hungary so trying to snack lots. Salt and vinegar crisps or mint ice cream seem to be going down well, not very healthy though! Leliana brushing my teeth has become a real struggle, been sick the last 2 nights after Sad

polkadotjersey · 14/06/2018 17:48

Sent a request to the FB group as well.

I haven't been able to eat a 'proper' meal in over a week. DH has been making me lunch with pasta, apple, cheese and raisins so at least I'm eating something substantial and at least vaguely healthy. The foods I can stomach I'm ravenous for - just got home from work and had two bowls of Corn Flakes and now really want a third!

Had my booking appointment this morning (8+0) and the midwife was super lovely. Being given a massive folder of notes and records to take home made it seem a bit more real! Got an early scan booked for Saturday thanks to Groupon.

laurs2309 · 14/06/2018 17:55

I've been living on toast, crumpets, cornflakes and ready salted crisps for about 5 weeks now. Soo looking forward to when I can eat something with some flavour again. The nausea is easing so hopefully the bloodhound sense of smell and food aversions will disappear soon too!

TheNewDelia · 14/06/2018 18:20

@laurs2309 I'm on that diet too Grin! My nausea has come back quite strongly this week (week 10) hoping for a bit of respite next week

TheNewDelia · 14/06/2018 18:25

@LG93 I've just joined the fb group too :)

laurs2309 · 14/06/2018 18:29

@TheNewDelia it's so boring isn't it. I didn't realise how much of a big part of my life food is until these last few weeks, I really miss it. I've lost over half a stone though so maybe I need to write a book and pitch it as the new magic diet! Grin hope the nausea eases for you soon and it's not making you feel too down.

TheNewDelia · 14/06/2018 18:32

@laurs2309 rediscovering crumpets has been the only upside!
