Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LeeCee · 14/06/2018 10:17

Hey @Merrz we're about to go away for hols so I wouldn't have my regular scan till I get back at 13/14 weeks. I wanted to know before I go. It's going to be hard to hide on holidays so now we feel more comfortable telling friends and family. I wouldn't go too early but I think difference between 10 and 12 weeks is fine for me. Mine is covered by health insurance also so I can claim it back.

We got great pictures, videos, found out of dates are right and baby has a lovely strong heartbeat so 96% chance now we'll be ok from here. So happy I did it, but each to their own!

LG93 · 14/06/2018 10:18

I've just tried to make a group but I need to add at least one friend- obviously not going to add any of mine! Is there anyone who would be willing to add me as a friend while I create the group - you can delete me again after - I won't be offended!

laurs2309 · 14/06/2018 10:26

I would @LG93. If you PM me a link to your fb profile I'll add you. Got the midwife coming round in a min but can do it after that Smile

Merrz · 14/06/2018 10:35

LeeCee i have an issue with holidays too, we go away when i'll be 12+2 for 2 weeks so my midwife has requested my scan for the day before we go and i just think if anything is wrong i would prefer to know now and have a few weeks to deal with it rather than find out the day before i go on holiday.
Also what is everyone doing about the down syndrome screening? I know it is very much each to their own but just wondered, are most people opting for it or not?

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 10:48

Yay I done it! This is our little one at 9+4 he/she was moving lots so was hard to get a good picture but to me it’s perfect - keep looking all the time.

@merrz it’s kind of up to you, I was so nervous before and almost wimped out but so so so pleased I didn’t.

@leecee I don’t mind giving my Facebook name as it’s for my business so is public anyway BUT I am super nervous about it being private haha xx

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 10:49

laurs2309 id be up for a Facebook group too. Im in one for all my babies, the last one though were all super close and see 5 or 6 of them in person every couple of weeks.

Just got my scan date through.. now to try to figure out how to get childcare when no1 knows Confused

Soontobemumof4 · 14/06/2018 11:03

Leliana Facebook group sounds good Smile

LeeCee · 14/06/2018 11:19

Gorgeous photo @LJFM2B great you have an active little baby in there! Congrats 😍

ComtessedeLancret · 14/06/2018 12:09

Finally had my dating scan today, turns out I’m 9wks and 6days so that’s handy to know. Little poppet looks good and was annoyingly active which made getting a good shot tricky but it’s definitely a baby lol I sent the pic to DH and just got “evil seedling” in response (he’s joking.. the evil seedling is surely his jet pack fuelled sperm!!)

LG93 · 14/06/2018 12:20

Hi everyone!

Link to Facebook group is here: www.facebook.com/groups/1816228935353676/

I originally made the group secret, but then nobody can find it to joing without adding me on Facebook first, so I've put it to a closed group, with a non-baby code name so that if anyone sees you join it they won't know what it is! Then once everyone is in I can switch it back to a secret group which means it's not searchable and nobody other than us will know it's even there, let alone what we put in it!

Leliana · 14/06/2018 12:27

I've just set up a secret group - my idea was that people could PM me a link to their Facebook profile, I could add them as a friend, add them to the group, then de-friend them if wished (though am happy to be friends as well). What do you think? My concern is that anybody clicking onto that link above will be able to work out that the members of the group are Mumsnetters, and MNers posting on this thread at that... I realise that when we're all in it, you can make it secret again, but I'd be worried about people working out who I am in the meantime. Not trying to undermine you though @LG93, and we can use your group if everyone else is comfortable with that.

Ash1992 · 14/06/2018 12:31

Is anyone else been told they are anaemic?

LG93 · 14/06/2018 12:37

@leilana I hadn't thought about the MN connotation - I can change the question to remove reference to MN - just thought it would help make sure nobody followed us in so to speak! Will change it now x

Soontobemumof4 · 14/06/2018 12:38

Leliana we did you your way last time so that only people on this thread got added to the group.

Leliana · 14/06/2018 12:43

I'm just a bit nervous because I have been outed before :-\ If people want to try a secret group, can you please PM me a link to your Facebook profile, and I will add you as a friend then add you to my group?

If nobody has an appetite for that, I guess I will join LG93's group, but I would wait until the last possible minute before it becomes secret, because I'm scared of being outed again.

OP posts:
LG93 · 14/06/2018 12:50

Leilana - there's already a few people in the group I set up so may be a faff for them to move. If people aren't happy with the closed group they're welcome to pm me their account and once the bulk of us are in I can change it to secret then add in those who want to wait ☺️

Leliana · 14/06/2018 13:18

Sounds sensible :) I'll stop fretting!

OP posts:
LG93 · 14/06/2018 13:19

Leilana I've just approved your request and then realised it was you! If you want to leave and rejoin I can leave it pending until we go secret - sorry!!

LJFM2B · 14/06/2018 13:32

@LG93 just sent you mine!! Im the same as @Leliana and would like to wait until it going secret if thats ok!! some how makes it more official haha thank you :)

Ash1992 · 14/06/2018 13:48

@lg93 I've added the group

Jebbs · 14/06/2018 13:56

@Frenchiemamax If it helps, my 9 weeks (or rather then night before) was marked by me blocking the sink as the loo was too far away and I threw up the whole of the dinner I'd just eaten. It's all got much better since then though so fingers crossed it's the same for you!

@LG93 request sent.

byanyothernamerose · 14/06/2018 14:11
