LG&T, when did you say they'd booked you for induction?

My baby is allowed to come any time after midday on Saturday now. DH booked to go to the US Fri morning, back Sat morning.

lulumama · 23/05/2007 13:55

MKG spoke to her yesteday on MSN, thought it sounded hopeful! woo hoo!

LG&T..sending you the baby vibes i sent MKG yesterday xxx

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2007 13:56

Two grins... It means something.

OP posts:
Mrsjaffabiffa · 23/05/2007 14:13

Yey, two more grins. Thanks Mars & lulu.

Oh how exciting;

AM, thanks for your parcel it arrived today. Beautiful. I LOVE them. xxx

SOH, lovely to hear you are still here. Was thinking about you this morning, whilst feeding half asleep, was wondering how many of us were feeding at the same time. lol

I've had a bad couple of days. have a touch of the baby blues. Poor H&M tying not to cry infront of them but it's not easy. A is being a dream though, he is working so hard and looking after all of us, poor man. My bf from the UK comes out tommorow. I'm really looking forward to having her here, just hope I can hold my self together whilst they are here.

lulumama · 23/05/2007 14:21

i just do what mars tells me !

aprilmeadow · 23/05/2007 17:11

Congratulations Pebble. What a great birth story. Glad both you and Alana-May are doing well.

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2007 17:59

Poor you Mrs JB. I'm sure it will pass soon. You probably know that already - I'm not very good at this "make people feel better" lark.

And do you know what? So what if you don't totally hold it together when your friend is staying. You've just had a baby! Everyone knows your hormones are doing a conga line round your body at inconvenient times. They really won't mind a bit.

OP posts:
Sumsey · 23/05/2007 18:08

hello all.

congrats to Pebble.
LG&T im 10 days over today aswel..(we should start a gang)

well my sweep was a big fat waste of time.
nothing.. nada..no responce at all

to all

twelveyeargap · 23/05/2007 19:35

My ankles are pure comedy. I'm thinking of uploading a picture for everyone's amusement.

OP posts:
InTheseShoes · 23/05/2007 19:53

No more baby news yet, apart from enigmatic grins from Mars and lulu? Nothing much doing here, had my hair done, been to midwife (everything fine, BP etc)

My ankles are old lady ankles, I'm really tired of it. I am having some period-like discomfort, but it's not contractions or anything.

juliewoolie · 23/05/2007 20:10

Hi girls we all still hanging in there. So whose DH/P's gone out to the pub to watch the footie.I swear if he comes home half cut......

Anyone heard from any of the in labour girls from yesterday?

scootermum · 23/05/2007 21:02

No, I cracked and texted Tam and LWatkins earlier, but no response as yet..but Mars and Lula know something and are holding out on us the blighters

My ankles look vile TYG-I hate this swelly part-my face isnt that bad yet though thank God, though there is still time..specially as its ruddy sweltering..
If you need anything whilst DH is away you just holler alright?I know you will have DD there but im only half an hour away, (unless its rush hour).Think you are very brave letting him go..I have become a very clingy wife..DH is having the day off tomorrow because I am being a bit princessy-but feel so tired I dont think I could manage DD on my own all day..Poor DD..and poor DH really having to put up with me right now..

I had terrible baby blues after DD Mrs JB-It frightened me to death one night as I felt like I really didnt want her near me..but it passed after a few days..keep talking to DH and to us as I think that helps..lots of love to you..xx

DH's exams went ok-what a relief they are over at last..was hoping for a nice evening together as we havent had much time to speak of late what with revision and everything else..but he is watching football so no chance there

Could do without the viewers largegandt, but then it will be just as bad after the baby comes..tonights were half an hour late however and didnt call to say, and DD was kicking off as she was thus late into bed..hence I was very tetchy when showing them round, so dont think they will be keen to come back!Sweep on Friday for you?

I swear if My Mum calls one more time and responds 'oh no' when I tell her Im not in labour I will swing for her..the way she goes on its like shes feeling all the discomfort..Im not even due till tomorrow..she has rung TWICE a day all this week...I beg of you..

So who is in labour/was in labour that we havent heard from?MKG?Tam and Lwatkins..Redkennedy?
I hope we get some news soon...

Lupins71 · 23/05/2007 22:27

peeks in looking for news, whispers come on babies its too quiet on postnatal

shuffles of quietly to bed

aprilmeadow · 24/05/2007 06:53

Just checking in to see if there is any news on those MIA and to see if anyone else has decided to pop.......

Been up since 4.30am but not child related though... the bloody Army decided to set of explosives that echoed all around our estate, then just as i thought it had finished it started again

Sending massive strong baby vibes to you all

scootermum · 24/05/2007 08:09

Morning all,

No news?

I had a ruddy awful night too..DD has a chest infection and we finally managed to settle her in bed with us at 1am.I then dropped off only to have a very realistic dream that my waters broke, that I woke up with a start from and believed to have actually happened..this left me with a dilemma as didnt want to turn the light on to check and thus wake DD, DH and cat up..so I lay there for half an hour panicking about being in labour and needing to check for Merconium till I finally got up to look, waking everyone up in the process..
Needless to say, no waters of course..which you'd think I would have realised anyway as the bed wasnt wet at all duh!And I was left with a crying DD,a mithery cat and a DH who rolled over and started snoring almost immediately..think I ended up getting about 1 more hours sleep in the end..Feel a bit knackered..

Anyway today is my due date..so Mae can feel free to come at any time..although that said Lily is pretty poorly so maybe tomorrow would be better and that way DH can miss work too

Hope everyone else had a better night-and that a baby or two arrived...

Do you live near an army base April?!Or were they just random explosions?

twelveyeargap · 24/05/2007 08:30

Morning, morning.

DH very nicely got up early this am to change a lightbulb that had shattered in the fitting. Turned off all the power, as we weren't sure which trip switch was for that bulb. Then the alarm, which we havne't touched since we moved in because the vendor claimed not to have the code, started bleeping. DOOOOHHHHH. It's periodically singing at me and it's driving me bonkers. Found a post it on top of the box with a mobile number and what looks like the alarm code. However, am afraid to try the code until 9am in case it goes off. Argh. Plus, after that, the sodding light fitting is broken and I have to go and get a new one.

Scoot, poor you with the crap night's sleep. Bad enough having to have three of you in the bed, then the weird dreams. Hope you get a great sleep tonight and Mae comes tomorrow.

I've just got today and tomorrow to get through and then I can start hurrying this baby again.

largeginandtonic · 24/05/2007 08:45

Morning everyone

I too have had acrap night, can barely see to type. I have a head cold, came out of nowhere yesterday lunchtime. I feel dredful, runny eyes and nose, sore throat and banging headache. It is soooo unfair. Im hoping to rest today and get rid of it before induction tomorrow. The hospital want me in at 8.30. All the kids are off to stay with stupid exp, god he is smug at the moment and doing my head in.

TYG i have killer pains down my legs, the right one especially. I have had it before when i get my period sometimes but never in preg. I remember you saying you had a leg labour with S. Im not having contractions or anything else, no more show nothing else. What do you think?

Off to do the school run and then am going to park myself in front of tv with the lap top. Im taking paracetemol for my head, any other suggestions?

Cant believ we have not heard from Tam or Lwatkins, the suspence is killing me! Hope they are ok.

Sumsey when will you be induced?

twelveyeargap · 24/05/2007 08:55

I had a back labour with DD honey. The way I would describe the pain was that pain that you get when you've been standing in the cold for hours and your back tenses up from trying not to shiver and you can't relax the muscles. Does that make any sense?

I think I mentioned leg labour becuase my midwife said that some women get it. She said they sometimes get regular tightenings of the thigh muscles.

Poor you love. A cold is the last thing you need right now. Smug ex-p is a joke too. Booo to him.

OP posts:
aprilmeadow · 24/05/2007 09:03

So a crap nights sleep all round then!

Scoot - I live in Fleet so fairly close to Aldershot Army lot. I think they're always up to something in the local woods, just wish they would choose a more human time to do so. I do hope that Lily starts feeling better asap.

TYG - How annoying for you! We have a smoke alarm that fits onto the light fitting and every time the battery in it runs low it makes this horrid shreiking noise. It doesnt stop until you turn the light on to re-charge it.

LG&T - sorry you are feeling poorly. Must be the weather, but not what you need!

I hope Tam, LWatkins & RedKennedy are doing well and holding their precious bundles.

twelveyeargap · 24/05/2007 09:16

Code appears to have shut the alarm up. Hurrah. Something going right. How 'bout that?

OP posts:
juliewoolie · 24/05/2007 09:16

Morning everyone.

Sorry you are all feeling crappy.

LG&T I was told that sometimes before going into labour your body tries to get rid of any bugs that are around your system so maybe this means the LO is getting ready to pop out.

Wish we had some baby news to cheers us all up.

I'm off for a trip to the country well Bedfordshire to visit my ma and pa today, yuck I have the M11 and M25 then M1 to contend with.

Hope you all manage to have a restful day.

luckymummy74 · 24/05/2007 09:18

just hi-jacking your thread may baby ladies. My dd just turned one, and I just wanted to wish you all luck and say what a wonderful time of year May is to have a baby!

Juicylucytoo · 24/05/2007 09:32

Morning all.

Well I had a relatively decent night for a change. Sorry for you all with the crap nights, I've been having them for the last 3 nights so can sympathise. Think it was exhaustion that got me through last night.

Hope you have a nice time in Beds Julie. I know those roads, or should I say roadworks so well!

Off to meet my NCT group and all the new arrivals. Will try the holding new babies trick. DH due home tonight so I'm ready take on labour now. HURRAH!!

Have a lovely day in the sunshine girls. Will check in later for baby news.

cameroonmama · 24/05/2007 09:39

Morning all, sorry to hear you are feeling so yucky LG&T, hopefully a bit of sofa rest and some paracetamol and dare I say it, a medicinal amount of chocolate, to boost your morale before the big day tomorrow.

Scoot, sorry Lily is poorly too. And having loads of viewers, that's tedious if none of them are going to make an offer! Obviously down here in Somerset we are stuck in a different timezone as we haven't had any viewers for weeks

TYG, keep those legs crossed!

No news then from LW, MKG, Redkennedy?

April, what a bummer to be up and about so early and it have nothing to do with babies whatsoever, poor you!

scootermum · 24/05/2007 10:55

Im going to text them again..I can stand it no longer..plus it will be too hot to go up the hill if I dont do it soon..

Im sure someone on here had a leg labour largegandt..I remember someone saying they were having leg pains im sure..I hope your cold clears up before tomorrow-otherwise you will have to inhale Olbas oil with your gas and air ..is it hot down there too?..nothing worse than a summer cold-except maybe being overdue with a summer coldRuddy ex p..whats he got to be smug about?Dollshead.Ignore him..

Least the alarm is now working TYG..that would have sent me dappy..as it is, about 20 ramblers have just gone through the village making a right racket..and woken DD up again..dont they know the bloody countryside code about being quiet?!Tossers...ha you can tell im in a fabulous temper today!

Hope you have air con Julie..check the M11 before you set off as well eh?DH got stuck on it yesterday in his way back from Cambridge and I wouldnt fancy it for you in this heat..

Ruddy viewers, grrr...im sure the agent is just sending any old people round, not people that even want to see it..its ridiculous..

oh, there goes the phone.. that'll be my Mother-first call of the day...

Sorry all..Will try to stop being such a grump shortly...
