Managed to get blood tests results from hospital today. Liver function is fine (even after all these years of abuse) so no OC then, just a case of neurotic paranoia! Must stop reading about other people's symptoms! Anyway, hosp midwife said get piritine (sp?) and calomine lotion for the itchiness. Have you tried that yet Foxy?

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 14:13

hot shower hasnt worked.. grrr

oh well was worth a try, will be going out to get mango juice, and going to nandos wednesday if no luck!
must get sum RLT.. think at 39 weeks might be a bit late..
my gosh it has gone so fast, and as much as i want her out im terrified as life is going to be totally diff and hectic.. omg how will i cope with 13 months between them.. eek

annobal · 21/05/2007 14:14

Daisy, links are here and here . I hope that they help - I'm sure Lulumama or Mars would be able to help as well.

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 14:17

good news TB.. i had super itchy skin, change ur bath products to the "simple" range.. trust me the itching stopped imediatly. also good idea to switch now anyway, as ur products can leave resdidues in bath and LO may react too. thomas comes out in a rash if he has a bath after DH (who shaves in bath and uses "man" products) espes if i havent scrubbed the bath afterwards and just rinsed it.
just a thought i know im being bossy again

annobal · 21/05/2007 14:30

Thanks for the article Bumper. I did stop using a monitor when DS1 was about 6 months and I realised that the baby's room was right next to mine and it was actually keeping me awake

Good news on the results TB - a friend of mine had OC about 3 months after she had her DD and was really ill with it.

Natty - am keeping everything crossed that you will be able to move in this week

Am also thinking about RLT - I was reading in Gentle Birth Method last night and she gives a recipe for a tea - will buck up my courage and go in to my local Neils Yard and see if they will make it for me (last time I asked for a tea from there I got shot down in flames ). If anyone else wants the recipe let me know...

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 14:33

I've got RLT 640mg I think, it was the strongest I could get. Have also got Clary Sage aromatheraphy oil and Caulphyllium 200 to get things moving. Am going to wait until 41 weeks though. Which feels like years and years away!!!!

My itching is quite sporadic, I too was being paranoid!

I'd give my right arm for a nap right now.

I have too many children

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 14:33

The tea is rank! Holland & Barrett do capsules. Much more palatable!

annobal · 21/05/2007 14:45

Me too Foxy - I'm knackered today and T&G seem to want to crawl all over me! Feeling very bad for having Peppa Pig dvd still on - am being a very bad mother today

Will re-think the tea option and go for capsules as well...

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 14:49

Can't watch Peppa Pig, its not that I dislike it, but Daddy's Pig love of Custard Donuts and Chocolate Cake is not helpful to me.

All of the children and DP got me up last night. Farkers. The big bump attached to my front is the least of my worries!!

annobal · 21/05/2007 14:53

you! I did actually get a solid 7 hours so shouldn't be feeling like I can't move. LOL re Daddy pig's love of custard donuts and choc cake. Have already promised choc cake for after dinner tonight - at least that means T&G will actually eat the meat balls and spag I'm cooking for dinner

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 14:55

Just been looking for Aromatherapy remedies and came across this remedies

Especially thought Roman Chamomile and Frankinsense might be useful.

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 14:56

LOL! Am also doing meatballs and spagetti! (not homemade meatballs though!)

DaisysGotABigBump · 21/05/2007 14:58

Good afternoon...thanks for all the links etc you guys, I'll catch up with them all later

DH being a trooper (considering what he's had to put up with). He came with me to the doctors to make sure I was telling the doc everything. We also had a long chat into the night last night and are going to start looking at property in Linclonshire since his job is going well. We need to downsize our mortgage so that I can cut back on the hours I need to work, but we are agreed that if we haven't moved by next April, I won't be going back to my current job..

Anyway, I will endeavour to be cheerful ...see I can do it!

On a good note, I've been getting quite definate contractions today, not regular, but they seem a bit more serious than the usual......and (TMI ALERT) I've had a bit of pinkish discharge...a bit more than anything I've had recently, and definately pink in colour....could this be the start? . Although I know it could be weeks yet....

Natty...hope you haven't disappeared yet...the card you got sounds really lovely. This place is great isn't it?...I'll be keeping an eye on your blog. Good Luck with the move and hopefully you'll have a baby before long!!

PS...doctor just phoned.....Jimmy's have a dedicated mother and baby unit apparently for mums with AND/PND and he's phoned them with a referral so I should hear from them in the next day or so. Our surgery is very pro-active on mental health issues thankfully. i feel much better for having just talked about it, but I realise that it isn't going to be easy, especially with DH away, but again I have some great friends here as well, who are really supportive.

Right no more mental talk.......

Daisy, it seems as though you are getting the support you need from dh and talking things through. Hope all is well

annobal · 21/05/2007 15:07

Oooh and exciting about the things moving. Are you going to post an 'is this it?' in childbirth (I love those threads)?

TALLULAHBELLE · 21/05/2007 15:08

Started on rasberry tea but is vile and gives me heartburn. Thought about this instead RLF alternative

annobal · 21/05/2007 15:08

Sorry - doesn't make much sense

DaisysGotABigBump · 21/05/2007 15:10

Maybe not just yet....I'll give it a while before doing that or it could be very long drawn out and boring....although I have been a bit crampy all afternoon.

I've just eaten a big bag of popcorn though....so it may just be that

Mytwocents...showing my ignorance but what's CBT?

annobal · 21/05/2007 15:17
