some very kind person has sent me a "new home" card and £20! to help with move or to buy a takeaway on our first night
thank you so much, it reduced me to tears, and i was dancing around the living room waving it in DH's face as he thinks mumsnet "is a waste of time" and hasnt let me on laptop since yesterday.

missed you all, sorry to hear about bathroom daisy, hope u feeling ok xxx
and ur DH is being an arse!

now the bad news...
looks like we wont be able to move into our house this week, as they are STILL waiting for the reference from the bank. bloody banks... grrrr..
so looks like i will be lugging a double pushchair up 2 flights of stairs afterall

how is everyone else?

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 12:55

OMG Natty - that is SO kind!

(wasn't me, , wish I'd thought of it!)

Daisy, this thread might be of interest to you ADs and BF

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:04

daisy i suffered from a bout of AND about half way thru my preg. thats why i disapeared of the boards for a while. i was trying to pretend the pregnany wasnt happening, as we could afford another baby and council were refusing to house us.
the only thing that helped was talking to both my mum and DH. u will feel better soon hun, just accept ur feelings and try to tell yourself u are a good mum and everyone can get depressed wether its PND, AND or regular
D!

thinking of u hun xxx

oh the joys of moving when ur due to have a baby

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 13:20

Hi Tullulabel, sorry to hear you are feeling a bit grim too.

Do you have a local library Natty for PC access? Probably cheaper.

Don't suppose they'll accept a verbal reference from the bank until the paper one comes through will they?

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:22

we have to ring the wednesday, they might agreee to verbal. VERY good idea on library infact beckenham library is free, and i think croydon may be too.. ooooo our first outing as a family will be to the library to post birth annoucement lol

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 13:25

Should hope so too Natty! Not long now

Good to see you are still keeping chirpy xx

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:27

now come on own up, who sent me my card? i wanna know!!

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 13:31

Oh daisy, don't know whether to be sad for you for suffering or pleased that you have some help? Not sure how I feel about the ADs. It is something I've thought about as a bit of a risk cae myself. My mum said that she could understand about not wanting to take them while pg (although safe) but when the baby is out she told me to accept anything I'm given! The dr is right about a happy mummy, and you had PND before didn't you so this will head that off at the pass. Do what you think is right. Foxy has a point that knowing may be half the battle and there may be alternatives. I hope your DH will understand now why you have been reacting like you have, and I hope he continues to be supportive. We are all here for you, and well, pretty much all mentalists too in one way or another!

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:34

croydon library IS free, as long as u have a library card, which i do
so will check in with u guys as often as i can, and text BZ and she can also update you.
will be phoning BT and getting the internet back on ASAP when we finally know our moving in date.
off to have a HOT HOT shower as that set of labour last time, am determind to have this baby b4 internet goes down, i want to post on here and gloat lmao

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 13:34

Not me I'm afraid

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:37

LMAO bumper.. thanks but i just ate 5 crumpets

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 13:40

Hi tallulah! Join the discomfort club. Ha! Sleep? I laugh in the face of sleep!

(Actually sleep just laughs at me, then I cry...)

Feeling v industrious as DH and I finally set up a joint account (found a bank stupid enough to take us!) and have transfered all my direct debit to new account. However, not actually dressed yet and living room full of push chair packaging.

Got to go and pick up a parcel in a bit, so have to drive to nearby city which is a real pain. It's a baby monitor which I got cheap off amazon. But read in paper yesterday that baby monitors can be damaging to babies, something to do with the radiation. Any opinions? TBH won't really use it much as we live in a flat, but it's just for when we are sitting in the garden in the evenings during the summer and baby is inside.

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 13:42

Don't worry naty, I ate 5 satsumas this morning - no toilet troubles in this house!

NattyThomasandEllen · 21/05/2007 13:43

bollocks is my opinion.. in that case all the babys in the modern world should be radiated.. and we should all be glowing with the "raditation" everything supposdly gives us.
god what next?

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 13:46

I'm already freaking out as we have wireless broadband and been reading lots of terrible things in the news about wifi. I know I shouldn't believe everything I read, just fretting about nothing!

mytwocents · 21/05/2007 13:48

Yo!

Not caught up fully with you chatterboxes but thought I'd say Hi..

Hi!!!
Happy birthday Alice! (H did you get my number for texting?)
Natty hope the move goes ok
Bumper I've been teary too lately with back ache which just won't go! Yoga is helping but I think the only thing that'll last is giving birth!

Daisy, have you asked about CBT ? It may take a while for a referral dep on your primary care trust but should be worth a go, it can happen alongside your meds. BF should be fine aswell - you prob know this already- Only lithium ( and a high dose of any of the old hypnotics or antipsychotics...)is really dangerous for babies, just make sure you tell your GP if you stop or start or if you take anything else. Good luck though, sounds like you're prepared for it this time around...X

mytwocents · 21/05/2007 13:50

Radiation from monitors???!!!!

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 13:50

I'm with Natty. You need to raise children in an oxygen bubble if you believe everything you read. Its just not worth worrying about (my monitor is next to my cordless phone, where my mobile charger is, no ill effects as yet!)

If you are worried, put the monitor in the baby's room away from them. You'll still be able to hear him or her (do you know if its a boy or girl BTW?)

foxybrown · 21/05/2007 13:51

The World's gone mad, I tell you!!!!

annobal · 21/05/2007 13:57

Bumper - what did you read? We have wifi and I'm really crap at firewalls and stuff so god knows what's getting through. I'm feeling totally knackered today - even after putting T & G in playtime this morning. Now home and Peppa Pig is on - must turn the tv off and actually interact with children

Daisy - there was a post on here a while ago about AND - I'll see if I can find it for you. I'm glad that you have been 'diagnosed' (sorry, for want of a better word) and that things start looking up for you.

mytwocents · 21/05/2007 13:59

Init tho !?

I want to exchange!!!!
Sorry but just need to hear from solicitor about contracts as have to plan and co-ordinate move and mat leave...V stressful, we've been here before and it all fell through so am mucho anxious....please cross fingers for me!

bumperlicious · 21/05/2007 14:07
