Bugger - just did a long post and stupid Tiscali lost the internet connection so I lost it!

Hope you're feeling better Daisy - how was lunch?

Doggus I am so very sorry. Hope you are coping. Been thinking of you xxx

Lilkel Congratulations! Lovely name, hope you are all well.

I'm so sad for you Doggus, and so happy for you Lilkel. Sending condolences and congratulations at the same time doesn't seem quite right does it? Love to you both xxx

DaisysGotABigBump · 25/05/2007 19:42

lunch was great....chicken nachos followed by a huge burger and fries (minus the bun of course). couldn't move afterwards....but traipsed around park and ruined abbey and museum, then sat by the river in the sunshine and it was just lovely.

DS has been high as a kite all day, but has had a thoroughly nice birthday. Can't believe he's 5 already.....they say it goes quickly and has it ever.

Now trying to rest up with my poor sausage feet elevated.

Hey Foxy....no news from Derlor???

Aw, Happy Birthday Mystic Red Ranger! I'm sorry, I didn't click it was today (thinking Sunday, although I know you have said ).

Your lunch sounds yummo!

No news from Derlor on my mobile (I even checked it at 3am!)

trendaverter · 25/05/2007 20:02

I think something is happening tonight, I have been in all sorts of funny pains for a few hours now... but then perhaps I too like Derlor just need a poo!

Can't seem to get comfy no matter what and getting all sorts of sharp pains.

I am sure it's nothing but these hurt like nothing I have known so far!!

It's getting exciting now. (When it's not me of course.) I just keep expecting to burst forth with waters every time I move. Have just spent a very tense hour and a half on my mums sofa (her house is way too clean for such goings on!), although LO isn't even engaged yet, but I feel pop-worthy!

I am a bad step-mother.I have suggested to DH that he invites his son over for part of next week so there is someone else here for the boys. (My parents are taking my sister away for part of half term and DH is dead worried he'll miss something due to lack of carers for the boys.) Do you think I'll get struck by a thunderbolt? (He probably won't come at the last minute as normal.) My best friend is off work all week though. Anyway, I'm so damned uncomfortable already that I'll probably be overdue.

Nearly bedtime...

trendaverter · 25/05/2007 20:26

I very much doubt anythings going to happen for me tonight though... I haven't even had a sodding show.

Due in a week and knowing my luck I'll be overdue, but perhaps if I think about birth enough I'll will something to happen?!

trendaverter · 25/05/2007 20:28

Over and out, see y'all tomorrow!

riabutterflew · 25/05/2007 20:31

I am onto number three now and haven't had a show before, just my waters going with very surprising force and volume! You just never know! (I feel a bit silly because I'm worried I won't notice I'm in labour for ages if my waters DON'T go first.)

sputnik · 25/05/2007 20:31

Walking round and round the house all day worked for me last time (too hot to walk outside).
Wondering about Derlor, she's normally about at t his time.

sputnik · 25/05/2007 20:35

Funny, I was the opposite. Had several shows (as a result of 2 or 3 unsucessful sweeps), waters didn't go until they broke them for me in the hospital.

DaisysGotABigBump · 25/05/2007 20:35

Sounds promising TA.....
Ria...I'm sure it'll all work itself out and you'll be in labour long enough for DH to get to you. I think its a great idea to have your DSS around, and its not entirely selfish...he'll get to spend time with his siblings and you'll not be worrying about having to scrabble around finding someone to look after them. but you're not due till the middle of June are you? hopefully LO will hang on till then!
I've been having definate tightenings today which seem a bit more full on than anything I've had so far, and the poor LO is not liking them one bit....but this sort of nonsense can go on for days I believe.
Convinced that since I've decided to go for the elective section, bub will decide to put in appearance early! Please not till after Sunday though as it's DS birthday party (that's where you got Sunday from Foxy...)

DaisysGotABigBump · 25/05/2007 20:37

I was induced so have no idea what early labour feels like. Never had a show, but my waters did break on their own so I do know what that's all about.

Just want it over with now....but not till Monday at the earliest

I'm really sorry, in the excitement of lilkel's birth announcement I forgot to say happy birthday to mystic red ranger!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope you had a good day daisy xxx

I'm off to catch up now, be back in a min x

derlor · 25/05/2007 20:42

hello {{{waves}}} i'm here!!!

foxybrown · 25/05/2007 20:44

Last two times I only had niggly feelings, being a bit uncomfy. Probably over a period of a couple of weeks. Both slow burners, really, but no show, no waters breaking, just steadily mounting niggles then pains then contractions. First time nothing at all really.

So, I've not helped really have I?

But thanks to Bumper for the link to that Netmums thread. I actually had to change my smalls having peed myself laughing

foxybrown · 25/05/2007 20:45

Where have you been Derlor?

I had a missed call on my mobile at 6.15, was going to call it and demand if the caller was your husband!!

DaisysGotABigBump · 25/05/2007 20:48

that NM thread is hysterical...the tears were rolling down my cheeks earlier.

MysticRedRanger has had a fab birthday....and I'm still trying to settle him down now.....and it's not going to get any better until afteer his party on Sunday.....aaaargh.

But thank goodness DH is here to deal with him, I can't keep up as I hobble around on sausage feet!
