Only you can decide Bumper. What's tiffin?

bumperlicious · 25/05/2007 12:26

Tiffin is basically mashed up biscuits covered in melted chocolate, often with raisins in it the stuck in the fridge (sometimes called refrigerator cake), mmm it's yummy.

Ok, here's the plan. See if I can find some spare change lying around the house. Go and buy tiffin (god they better have some when I get there) come home and make sure I do at least one chore before sitting down with a nice cup of tea and some cake!

I know muminfife....I'm just being a hypochondriac.....i never had anything like this with DS, and I hate that old lady leg look, besides which it's bloody uncomfortable. I lknow the BP isn't that high, but it's much higher than I am usually (110/60).

I plan on sitting about with my feet in the air, and have figured out that if I plug the laptop in in the other room i may well just be able to balance it on my bump and still talk!!!

what do restless legs feel like?....mine are just really hot and tingly, but I put that down to the water retention.

Right, off to lunch and to drink a gallon of water!!

Daisy my BP was 110 and this week I was up to 145, my GP says it's normal as you get into the last month for it to go up.

DaisysGotABigBump · 25/05/2007 12:35

Sputnik - I had restless legs when I came out of hospital and hadn't eaten for 3 days - MW said it was calcium deficiency so get thee some icecream!!

Daisy, if you are at all worried, ring the labour ward - they tend not to fuck around there...

I've just spent the morning at the hospital being scanned (of course, they made a consultant appt rather than a scan appt so after waiting for an hour to see consultant I had to wait for an hour to be scanned). Good news is that the placenta has moved up and babies head is down so it looks like a svd for me.

The other good news is that DS2 fell asleep on the way home and is now fast asleep on the couch - not too sure what to do with myself...

annobal · 25/05/2007 12:46

btw Sputnik, the yoga pants arrived today and they are great - thanks for the tip.

sputnik · 25/05/2007 12:46

Restless legs is where you just get this urge to move your legs. Sounds silly but it's bloody annoying and keeps me awake. Think the heat makes it worse.
Lunch for me too, I have finally got my appetite back and not feeling too dizzy today, yipee. Am going to fry up some sardine fillets. Maybe I'll have a go at making my own tiffin too, I have some choc digestives, raisins, chocolate.... shall we have a tiffin party?

Think Holly is Lilkel's text buddy.

doggus · 25/05/2007 12:54

Hello everybody, I have missed you all...sad news first - my mum died two days ago, and so I am still up north organising the funeral and then we will make our way down south when I am about 38 weeks (contractions permitting!). The good news is mum had a particularly nasty type of cancer and she died so peacefully, with me and her dh, so there was absolutely no suffering which there may have been had she tried to hang on for the arrival of lo.

Now - most importantly - I am back on here to have a laugh, and wait for our babies together...so I am nipping in now to say the sad bit, and when I have more time and am back home I will be back again worrying about constipation and swollen ankles (both of which are driving me potty). So see you all soon, if I get a chance I will pop back in a couple of days and see if anyone is any closer! Love and good luck to us all, xxx

sputnik · 25/05/2007 12:54

Good news about your scan Annobal, and glad you like the yoga pants. They will be your friends for years to come
Thanks for the ice cream tip. I actually bought a tub yesterday so maybe my body was trying to tell me something. That probably explains my wish for sardines too. I haven't eaten much of anything for the last 2 weeks so that's probably why.
Off to fry those sardines...

annobal · 25/05/2007 12:57

Doggus, I'm really sorry.

sputnik · 25/05/2007 12:59

Oh Doggus, so sorry to hear about your Mum, you sound like you are being really strong but it must be so hard for you, even though it was peaceful. Don't know what to say but my heart and thoughts go out to you, lots of love and see you soon, I hope.

mytwocents · 25/05/2007 13:05

Has anyone seen my ankles?

bumperlicious · 25/05/2007 13:10

Doggus, I'm so sorry. What an awful thing to have to go through, but I am pleased that your mum went peacefully. You sound like you are doing so well, you are amazing. We look forward to having you back with up. Good luck over the next few days. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you xxx

mytwocents · 25/05/2007 13:14
