I'd like to go to bed, but this baby is being a right bloody fidgit and keeps ramming herself into my hipbones! Bloody painful and annoying! She's stretching out her arms and legs infront of her and arching her back out of my right side. Ow!

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 22:11

Hi all. Just checking in. It's taken an hour to catch up.

Congratulations to Natty & Ellen and good luck to lilkel.
Thought your post was lovely foxy, there was me thinking the more children I have the less I like them. Nice to be proved wrong.

DH was at home today and has done some stuff (mostly his ordering for work and the rest "half-jobs" leaving the other half for me to finish becasue "he wasn't sure what I was doing with...". He has assembles the cot though.) I am because he went into work over two hours ago to say he would be back tomorrow and hasn't come home yet. Hope he isn't getting sacked...

I have had an odd day. Enforced rest makes me feel VERY ill indeed and having spent the afternoon in bed and feeling worse we have been to the maternity unit at the hospital tonight to get checked over (DH got a call from work to ask him to go in tonight and he made me ring the hospital before he rang to say he wasn't going in, I'm sure he should havebeen able to do that in his own mind).

Anyway, blood taken (that's twice today - they're not having any more), peed in more pots than you would believe, still have a little protein but no blood today. BP still up a bit and still have a few black floaters. Babys heartbeat monitored for ages and was between 128-161 so that's ok. Dr said nothing sinister was going on anyway and was happy to let me come home. So DHs mind at rest, and I DON'T HAVE TO REST UNLESS I WANT TO (which I don't cos it makes me feel like shite.)

Hospital midwives are lovely...

Must go, DH home and getting me some food (and a cold beer for the stress...

BTW my sister lives in NZ and it's great. Other sister lived in Adelaide for 13 years and is back here in the grim north. I prefer NZ but can't afford to live anywhere nice...
Night all, good luck with those poos...

Morning all just been catching up

I just looked at that netmums site, vom. It's why I felt very disillusioned with forums, I thought I was the only PG woman that didn't feel the need for a ticker or putting 17 smileys in a row. And the shite photos, and somehow every conversation got to prams and which one was best eventually.
And I was mainly sick to bloody death of being pummelled by LO and was not all girly and lovey dovey like these women were.

Thank fuck for this site lol I don't feel like such an outsider now!

Have you seen the TV today, GMTV? apparently we are not allowed to drink booze at all while PG. Not sure I agree entirely. Lots of antioxidants in red wine, surely that's more important

bumperlicious · 25/05/2007 08:22

Morning TA, I'm just reading this thread and it's making me ROFL!

trace2 · 25/05/2007 08:24

hi all congrats to natty and Ellen , also fannyannie , also good look today lilkel!

i went to hospital yesterday hopping to get my date for c section, well they really dont want me to have one even thought it would be my second c section, with my bllod clotting as well as other things with me also cox they still dont know if there anything wrong with baby they want to give her better chance. i understand how they feel coz i just want her to be ok, but dont know if i can take much more, they scaned me which they said shes of normal weight, but ive lost fluid, but as babys heary beat and flow from placena is ok they want to keep her there as long as possible.

they wanted to keep me in just for bed rest lol, i all i do all day at home is lay in bed, also they getting a lady to come out and see me about feeling so down tried to tell them its the pain whats causing it.

so looks like am having to wait untill babes decieds to come on her own now.

sorry for ranting just needed to tell some one as dh dont want to talk about baby until he knows if shes ok, i feel so alone in this pg

annobal · 25/05/2007 08:29

PMSL - I saw a thread to NM yesterday, mistakenly clicked it and almost had an epileptic fit.

I must away and brush my angels teeth (before I ditch the little bugger in nursery for the day - hurrah).

I have a scan this morning - am irrationally excited about it

bumperlicious · 25/05/2007 08:32

Oh trace, you've had a rough time of it! Don't know what to say, but even if your DH can't think about the baby, he should be thinking about you. How long have you got to go?

Is the fact that they don't want you to have a c sec a positive thing, that they thing all is ok? What are your reasons for wanting one? I don't know anything about that but hopefully one of the others will be along soon who does.

trace2 · 25/05/2007 08:36

bumperlicious its ok just feeling down, i wanted a csection as i did with jack because of spd, as its much worse this time too, but i understand what thay saying about baby comes first as i do agree really am due about 10 th 12 june, but they do think i will go in to labour befor that, but who knows.

annobal · 25/05/2007 08:39

Trace you've had such a rough pg. I'm really sorry that you feel you are going through this alone. Bumper is right - your DH should be supporting you in the very least. Can you get a second opinion about the cs? When are you due?

trendaverter · 25/05/2007 08:39

Oh Bumper I am PMSL

Can't stop laughing

"9 hours since I took a hit of crack"

LOL

bumperlicious · 25/05/2007 08:41

Like I said, I am totally new to this birthing malarky so can't offer any advice on that side of things. But I do empathise with you feeling down. I felt crap for most of this pg. Mentally feeling much better now but just fed up with lack of sleep and being in such pain all the time, so I can't get simple things around the house done.

We really are on the home straight now though, not long at all! Can you try talking to DH and telling him that you are here now, and you need his support? You don't need to be going through this on your own.

BadZelda · 25/05/2007 08:57

Morning ladies...and another birth announcement - we'll have a post-natal thread running soon at this rate! Just had the worst night's sleep I've had so far, though I guess I shouldn't complain, as it just gives me an insight into what some others have been having to endure for weeks...think bump has got to the stage of roundness where side, back, front sleeping are all impossible...even with pillows. Still, managed to get to sleep eventually, though it wasn't helped by 2 coppers and their dog running through our house at 1am as the neighbours said they heard someone rustling about in the back gardens. Poor cat was terrified! DH had crashed out in the hammock so was VERY confused (he wasn't the intruder though).
