Hi everyone, just got a bfp this morning after over a year of trying, so excited whilst trying to keep calm as I recently had a mc. This will be my second baby, would love to chat to others who have just found out too!! Xxx

I'm also in Surrey! Very close to Leatherhead too, so would be good to know the name of the place your friend recommended. Although it's a fairly small town so there could easily only be one scanning place there, I'll have a google.

Congratulations to all the new joiners!

I'm tired, but it's not too bad. I haven't been sleeping well, I think it's hormones, which is making me feel tired and then every day at about 5pm I feel totally exhausted but it doesn't last all evening.

Picklesandpies · 11/06/2018 10:10

I've had a funny taste in my mouth and nausea which is getting gradually worse. Really hoping it doesn't get much worse though - how do you get away with that if you already have children? They'd be worried about me if I was being sick all the time!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/06/2018 10:37

I seemed to have developed some kind of ibs! I'm very....loose at the minute Confused and my tummy is all growly. Not long after I've eaten I find myself running off to the loo! Glamourous!

Celebelly · 11/06/2018 11:52

I got my 3+ weeks on CB digital today (5+3) so I'm officially stepping away from the tests!

I feel so ashamed but I'm so bloated in the evenings that I've bought maternity leggings to wear. I literally go from looking normal in the morning to looking about six months pregnant by 7 pm.

sleighride5 · 11/06/2018 11:58

@LookingAtTheStars89 yep I have that too... it would have killed my appetite but if I don't eat I start to feel nauseous so it's a charming cycle at the moment.

I haven't actually been sick yet but the nausea is building - couldn't even look at pictures of food this morning! I felt all kinds of horrific.

Anyone else still getting occasional "period cramps" (best way to describe them sorry...). 1st pregnancy so not sure if they are normal or not, I'm around 5+4.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/06/2018 12:19

@Celebelly. I'm too scared to do another one! I'm booking an early scan for 7 weeks so I think I will just leave it at the tests I've already done!

@sleighride5. Urgh yeah I'm the same. I've been pregnant before and it was usually constipation I struggled with! As I sit here typing my stomach is complaining! Period type cramps are normal, it's usually just your uterus doing it's thing.

Celebelly · 11/06/2018 12:24

I have my early scan a week tomorrow. Torn between being excited and terrified!

I had period cramps quite a lot last week but this week they've eased off. I still get them intermittently, though, along with slightly different pains.

We are going for a long weekend abroad next weekend so I'm hoping I don't feel too tired and can actually enjoy our holiday!

sleighride5 · 11/06/2018 12:44

Thanks @LookingAtTheStars89 hope your belly (and mine) start behaving soon.

Also thanks @Celebelly fingers crossed for your scan, and hope you have a lot of fun on your holiday! Perfect time to have one and relax and enjoy yourself.

hayleyfx · 11/06/2018 13:00

@Celebelly my early scan is in a week too! Fingers crossed for good news for us both. Also I understand, I’m so bloated it’s unreal 🙈

6 weeks today and symptoms are starting to hit me hard now. Really nauseous on and off but also starving 24/7 which is a pain cause the thought of most foods is making me gag! 🙄 (oh except chocolate and cake of course, so much for being healthy 🤣) tired constantly, napping all the time, sore nipples, headaches, dizzy. Hoping they are all a good sign as I didn’t get many symptoms with my missed MC. 🤞 if it means bub is growing then it’s totally worth it!

MakeLemonade · 11/06/2018 13:06

Also a little crampy and a headache that I can’t seem to shift!

emoji · 11/06/2018 13:35

Hi everyone!

Got my BFP this morning and in total shock as I have an almost 6 month old DD Shock. No idea when I conceived as I've only had 1 period since I stopped breastfeeding and wasn't paying any attention to dates, but I think I'm due sometime mid-Feb.

Haven't told DH yet. I'm completely panicking about how we're going to cope. We wanted to have a close age gap but not THIS close! We discussed TTC later this year/start of next and I never thought it would happen this quickly. If all goes well there will only be 14 months between my DD and this baby.

Bee4S · 11/06/2018 18:05

@Picklesandpies Thanks! Congratulations to you too 😊 I definitely was not disciplined at testing 😂 I did an FRER test a few days before and it was negative. I think had a v light period and was waiting and waiting for things to actually progress so I could get my next CD1 to know when my FW was going to be. When it didn't I took a test thinking if I see it's negative again my brain will kick my body into actually doing the thing. But it was positive! And this was first thing in the morning on a Wednesday so I was smiling like a loon at work all day 😂

@LookingAtTheStars89 Oooh! Early scan! Let us know how it goes 😉 Was thinking of doing that myself but DH thinks it probably is just worth waiting until 12 weeks. If it's a very clear picture though I would love to know so I can persuade him haha!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/06/2018 18:07

@Bee4S Normally I would have waited but I had a missed miscarriage last year and I don't think I could bear to wait all that time just to be heart broken again, if it's all gone pear shaped I would rather just know. Sorry if that sounds pessimistic!!

Bee4S · 11/06/2018 18:10

Ah also I'm 5 weeks today not 6, obvs mis-typed before Hmm Nevermind!

Bee4S · 11/06/2018 18:11

@LookingAtThrStars89 Sorry to hear you had a mmc. Definitely worth having an early scan to put your mind at ease. I hope it's a sticky one and stays put! Flowers

LookingAtTheStars89 · 11/06/2018 18:19

@Bee4S. I'm five weeks too, although six weeks from my last period. I know from blood work I didn't ovulate until day 21. I did a clomid cycle - I was gobsmacked that it worked first time! Fingers tightly crossed!

Camsie30 · 11/06/2018 19:11

Has anyone else had IVF? This was my first round (have had 4 IUIs previously). 2 pregnancy tests both positive, blood test today all good. My doctor has said that I need another blood test on Thursday so a bit worried now... Any experiences to share? X

emoji · 11/06/2018 19:15

@Camsie30 my DD is an IVF baby (so you can imagine my shock when we conceived by accident on cycle 1 after I stopped breastfeedingShock). What were the levels of your blood tests? Do you know?
Doctor/clinic probably just want to see the levels doubling every 48hrs or so. Have they offered you an early scan to confirm viability?

Camsie30 · 11/06/2018 19:26

Thanks @emoji yes another blood test on Thursday then scan on 28th, have to keep taking all the meds which is annoying. Fingers crossed it's all ok!! X

emalady · 11/06/2018 19:27

How's everyone doing? I've got my midwife appointment through but it's not until 2nd July which seems ages. At least I'm having an early scan otherwise I'd be going mad. Had to go and buy a looser bra today, boobs are sore and a bit bigger l, not sure if that's the pregnancy or the excessive carb intake!!

emalady · 11/06/2018 19:36

@camsie we had ivf, first cycle. My blood test was over 1000 but I still had to check it after I already got 3 positive urine tests. I think if it was under 1000 they would have rechecked to make sure it was doubling. I have a week 7 scan at the clinic to check on things too.

MrsY87 · 11/06/2018 19:58

@Rowse I'm pretty close to leatherhead too! I went to a scan place in Banstead last time which was good, it was a babybond one.

@LookingAtTheStars89 I have a funny tummy too it's the urgency that is annoying!

Hi @emoji not quite as close as you but we're going to have a 17m gap all being well. My bro & sis are 51 weeks apart and my mum always says it was crazy and hard work but she managed and they've always been great mates! Have you told your DH yet?

@Camsie30 no experience of IVF but try not to worry about the next bloods, I think they normally compare them to check things are progressing as they should. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Want to book myself an early scan too but we are off on holiday when I'll be just over 7w, not sure whether to do it before or after? if it was bad news we'd probably need to cancel our holiday so maybe it's better to wait and just assume everything is fine?

Celebelly · 11/06/2018 20:14

Our early scan is a few days before we go abroad on holiday but I'm not sure what to do.

If it's bad news, I don't want to be abroad or on a plane and start miscarrying. I know there's no guarantee even if everything is OK with the scan that I won't miscarry a few days later, but it would be even more awful somewhere unfamiliar, and I'd feel a lot better if I knew things looked OK. That was my reasoning for booking it pre-holiday.

But then if it's inconclusive I don't know whether we should go on our trip and hope for the best or stay home and maybe miss out when everything is actually OK.

jeanzbeanz · 11/06/2018 20:23

@Celebelly the uncertainty is the worst!!

I feel kind of guilty because I have been so envious of other ladies getting their BFPs, and now I've got mine I know I should feel grateful and excited but instead I just feel so anxious :(

emoji · 11/06/2018 20:31

@MrsY87 wow! We must be mad 😂
Yes have told DH who got home about half an hr ago. He's as shocked as I am but very happy! He says it's going to be tough going for the first few years but he's excited 😊

Is anyone else hungry ALL THE TIME?! I can't stop eating.
