Hi everyone, just got a bfp this morning after over a year of trying, so excited whilst trying to keep calm as I recently had a mc. This will be my second baby, would love to chat to others who have just found out too!! Xxx

I’ve been to that one in Banstead too MrsY87! Small world! I’d forgotten about there actually, I had a gender scan with them, do they do viability ones too?

Bee4S · 12/06/2018 05:16

Is anyone else really struggling with sleep? I'm usually a sounds sleeper but last few night have been up and down like a yo-yo! I am really suffering with hayfever which doesn't help but this is very unusual for me. Confused

MrsY87 · 12/06/2018 06:22

@MakeLemonade small world indeed!! I'm pretty sure they do viability ones too.

@emoji glad it went well telling DH! I do keep having moments of oh what have we done we must be mad as our gap was very much planned! We have a 3.5yr old too so life will be a bit crazy for a while but we'll muddle through it!

Yep constantly hungry but not sure what I want to eat!

emalady · 12/06/2018 08:03

@emoji glad telling DH went well. Exciting times.

@MrsY87 I'm the same, hungry but not sure what I want. Not really feeling sick but a little off. Still really tired. Hoping this will get a bit better!

@Bee4s my sleep is a bit rubbish too and my hayfever is worse than usual. Can't work out if it's pregnancy or pollen! Doesn't help that I'm drinking loads so have to get up for the toilet in the night.

Wish I had some more time off work. So tired!!

smellsofelderberries · 12/06/2018 11:25

I am wanting to graze constantly now as I’m starting to have that low level nausea that sits at the back of your throat almost all day. Drinking SO much water too so peeing constantly!

Bee I could’t get to sleep until about 1.30 this morning, which was particularly painful as DD is waking at bang on 5.30 every morning. Luckily I’m staying with my Mum for a few days so she took my daughter at 7 and I went back to sleep until 9! I don’t know how people cope with pregnancy, toddlers AND working full time.

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 11:34

I think I'm 6 weeks today and woke up feeling very sick! Have spent the entire morning in bed. Really need to get up and eat something now

Bee4S · 12/06/2018 12:08

@emalady Hayfever is the worst! DH bought me a balm that's a pollen barrier which does seem to help a bit. It's safe for use during pregnancy, it's called HayMax.

@smellsofelderberries I know! We don't have any other DC but I can imagine it must be very tiring. Definitely will be having a nap when I get home from work 😂

Rowse · 12/06/2018 13:48

I've actually been looking at the Babybond in Banstead, thought it sounded good and more medical than some of the others. Good to knowow you've both been there and liked it @MrsY87 and @MakeLemonade and it looks like they do do early scans.

Still not 100% sure if we'll do it as had my 12 week scan date through for the 3rd August which is early enough before we go on holiday that I can't really justify an early scan now!

Eyedontknow · 12/06/2018 14:43

@smellsofelderberries @jeanzbeanz I've been having that low level nausea for the last few days too. I was telling myself this morning, if this is morning sickness, I can manage...then I vomited an hour ago and am now back in bed. Smile

hayleyfx · 12/06/2018 15:31

@jeanzbeanz just started for me properly too yesterday, 6+1 today. It’s not too bad yet but have been dry heaving a lot (tmi) and struggling to eat. Starting to rely on soup and ice poles - basically anything liquid haha! Which also means I’m peeing constantly 🙄🤣

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 12/06/2018 15:54

Ahh I waiting for the morning sickness to strike- I had it every day twice a day from 6-14 weeks last time. 6weeks today and only a slight hint of a feeling it's coming but nothing yet!

jeanzbeanz · 12/06/2018 16:06

I need to go to the shops to buy ice lollies, ritz biscuits etc but not got the energy!

lanalawr · 12/06/2018 17:02

Glad telling dh went well @emoji

Very slight nausea first thing here too. It's fine once I've eaten something. This is how it started with dd too. I was sick every time I brushed my teeth with her...went through a lot of toothpaste. Hmm

welshweasel · 12/06/2018 17:21

Anyone else feeling worse through the day? I wake up feeling ok then my mid afternoon have horrendous nausea and dizziness and my boobs get worse too! Don’t remember feeling like this last time...I’m 6 weeks tomorrow.

Bee4S · 12/06/2018 17:55

Not feeling any nausea yet but think my sense of smell is a bit off today. And definitely feeling hungry more often than not now so bring on dinner! 😂

Picklesandpies · 12/06/2018 19:39

Urgh yes, my nausea has started getting worse over the last few days. I'm really struggling at times. I feel as though I've had that one drink too many where you think 'uh oh, I feel a bit dodgy' or travel sick. Was nearly sick yesterday for the first time. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. Also feel so bloated and windy! So charming.

emalady · 12/06/2018 20:31

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, some mild nausea so far but not vomiting yet. Really hoping it's not too bad.

@welshweasel I'm knackered first thing in the morning but feel OK pretty quickly. In the afternoon and evening I'm feeling really rough, gassy and exhausted. Not great for working long days.

Sleeping a bit better since I bought a soft bra I can sleep in. So much more support and less aching.

Picklesandpies · 12/06/2018 20:44

Can anyone share their nausea remedies with me please? I am feeling so sick and really feeling worried about how I can look after my two children if this is how it's going to be. I'm literally waiting for them to fall asleep so I can go and sit by the loo. I've managed not to actually be sick so far but I know I can't keep that up. Just feel as though I'm not getting any relief. Sorry for the moan. Confused

Picklesandpies · 12/06/2018 20:45

On the plus side I've cleaned the bathroom in anticipation of such activities!

katiedecades · 13/06/2018 06:22

Hi all, new member & first post!
I’m 27, getting married in 7 weeks and got a positive test on Monday - we wanted this and I definitely want kids but now I had the positive test I am pretty scared! This is my first pregnancy so I hope that’s normal?

MrsY87 · 13/06/2018 06:34

@welshweasel I definitely feel worse in the afternoon than the morning, between 3 and 6ish I'm beyond exhausted, no real nausea yet but I'm only 5w so still early days.

@Picklesandpies I had awful nausea last time and managed to get the dr to prescribe some anti sickness meds even though I wasn't actually being sick & they definitely helped. I also found that I had to eat almost constantly to curb it, I ate a lot of mints as they seemed to help me!

Welcome @katiedecades totally normal to feel scared, particularly when it's your first as it's venturing into the unknown! This is my 3rd and when I got the positive test I was like oh god what have we done even though it was very much planned & we've been ttcing for a few months!

MrsY87 · 13/06/2018 06:45

Also just did another test and the positive line was darker than the control line so hopefully that's a good sign! I'm 5w today by dates but think I ovd late so prob a bit less.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 13/06/2018 08:36

Does anyone not have sore boobs? Confused I have the nausea and dodgy tummy but no sore boobs!

@katiedecades I think youbcould be on baby 100 and would still feel nervous! Pregnancy is a big deal - this isn't my first and I'm scared too x

lanalawr · 13/06/2018 08:44

@katiedecades totally normal! Our first was planned but I was terrified when I found out - I even told dh the test said maybe because it wasn't a strong positive. Less scared this time but still have moments of thinking what are we doing? This one is also planned but there's always going to be uncertainty over how the family dynamic will change and how you'll cope with a larger family.

MrsY87 · 13/06/2018 08:57

No sore boobs here @LookingAtTheStars89 just ridiculously thirsty, a bit of backache/mild period pains and the overwhelming tiredness (but I also have a 9m who doesn't really sleep so the tiredness could be that!)
