Hi everyone, just got a bfp this morning after over a year of trying, so excited whilst trying to keep calm as I recently had a mc. This will be my second baby, would love to chat to others who have just found out too!! Xxx

@since2016 I know what you mean!! I still cant believe its real and feel on edge every day ahh! But one day over means we're one day closer to that milestone! I need to start enjoying and stop worrying!

Mrscooper13 · 19/06/2018 21:26

I was just thinking about what excuses I could use for social events!!
It’s the biggest give away ever!!
Is it bad I’ve been avoiding social situations so not to worry too much.
But I’ve got one next week think I might use my lg as an excuse she’s had me up all night and if I drink I’ll be too tired 😬

This seems the longest bit so nice to be able to tell people

Celebelly · 19/06/2018 21:41

I might join the FB group after 12-week scan if everything is OK.

Picklesandpies · 20/06/2018 00:23

Shameless whinge alert. I am SO fed up of this morning sickness. I've been sick three times this evening and have a headache. Just feel absolutely grim. I'm going to the doctors first thing to ask for some medication to help. I just cannot function like this with two children to look after. It's even worse in the heat. @Koalatom1 I'm stressing about holiday now - not surprised you are finding it hard! And thanks for setting up the FB group. I'll join in the next few weeks. I've booked a scan at an Ultrasound Direct for 12.00 tomorrow. I just need to know I'm feeling like this for a good reason. Nervous as hell about going after mmc in April but honestly, if it's not good news then I really don't want to be feeling like this for no reason (sorry if that sounds cold, I'm just fed up.) Thanks for listening to the vent x

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/06/2018 09:06

I’ll join the FB group (hopefully) at a later date too, I’m only 4w1 so v v early!

What’s the consensus on eating runny yolks again? I’ve forgotten, NHS site says no but then they say no to most things!

Since2016 · 20/06/2018 09:09

@Picklesandpies maybe it's twins? 😂👍🏻 sounds awful!

Anyone else got serious bloat issues? I'm only 5 weeks on sat and I have the worst bloating. I'm terrified people at work are going to realise as nearly everything v fitted. Ffs. I mean I know you show earlier next time round but this is ridiculous!

Since2016 · 20/06/2018 09:09

@Lookingforadvice123 I think it's if they're lion stamped they're fine? I'm pretty cavalier though... when DH isn't watching 😂

hayleyfx · 20/06/2018 09:25

Had my scan yesterday, just thought I’d share the photos. Measured 7 weeks with a beautiful little heartbeat. Amazing to see!

Yes runny eggs fine now. Even the nhs agrees!! Need to be lion stamped, which all eggs sold in supermarkets these days are.

Picklesandpies · 20/06/2018 09:49

Oh that's lovely @hayleyfx! Smile Hreat photos. Must be nice to have that reassurance. Hoping so much for the same later on today.

Picklesandpies · 20/06/2018 09:49

@Since2016 That would be a shock!

hayleyfx · 20/06/2018 10:47

@Picklesandpies thank you! It really was an amazing feeling seeing that little heart beating. I hope everything goes perfectly for you today! 😊

Koalatom1 · 20/06/2018 11:12

No problem at all! I was wondering if I should make it closed and use a password for people to use to join rather than add friends then add them to the group. Will see 😊

I’m home from holiday on sat and can’t wait! Self catering villa is like prison with a 20months old. He just is bored and there’s no toys so constantly trying to keep him away from the pool etc!!

Hope all the scans are going well. I was thinking I may book one for 9 weeks as it makes it all so exciting!!

Have people heard of travel sick bands!? I may try one as this sickness is frustrating 😩

jeanzbeanz · 20/06/2018 11:54

I have got some of the seabands - don't think they have any effect tbh but wear them anyway, nothing to lose!

smellsofelderberries · 20/06/2018 12:56

Congratulations @hayleyfx !! Lovely pics!

Good luck today @Picklesandpies , let us know how you get on.

Finally did my Hospital booking form and I don't see a midwife until between 14-16 weeks! 😱😱 need to book my NT scan tomorrow. Confusing they do it like that.

Since2016 · 20/06/2018 14:56

Congratulations @hayleyfx and good luck @Picklesandpies hope all ok.

@Koalatom1 I'm going to book one for between 9-10 weeks, my scan wasn't until 13 weeks last time and I'd had 2 scans by that point (medical reasons!)

Picklesandpies · 20/06/2018 15:43

Scan went well, so relieved! Strong heartbeat and was only one day shy of my EDD. 9mm long... Grin

Thanks for good luck wishes!

jeanzbeanz · 20/06/2018 15:49

Yay, huge congrats! How many weeks are you?

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/06/2018 15:53

Congratulations on the early scans everyone!!!

All being well, I’m definitely having an early one privately. I had one at 8 weeks with DS due to a bleed and it was the best feeling hearing his heartbeat, I felt so much calmer.

What are thoughts on having one at 7 weeks? I know the risk of miscarriage goes right down if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks, but there’s a clinic near me (which I’m familiar with as I had all the scans with DS - due to anxiety rather than any issues) which does from 6 weeks (that feels a bit early for me).

Or should I just wait another week until 8?!

Picklesandpies · 20/06/2018 17:10

Thanks so much @jeanzbeanz I'm 6+6 on the report they gave me and 7 on the scan photos! I'm going with 7 😊.

Just been to doctors. She has given me a prescription to use if acupressure bands don't work 🙄. She was warming me about how they can't say any of them are totally safe. Feel so conflicted! Feel so grim - migraine type headache and nauseous all the time. Very hard to function. On my own tomorrow and I'm dreading it already. Dh has done school and club runs today and it's been bliss.

@Lookingforadvice123 I just had my scan at 7 weeks and found it very reassuring. X

MrsY87 · 20/06/2018 17:39

Congrats on the happy scan news @Picklesandpies and @hayleyfx

@Lookingforadvice123 I've booked a scan for 7w, we're on holiday from 7.5w to 10w so wanted to have a bit of reassurance before we go. I had a scan at 5+6 and 6+4 with DS and there was a heartbeat at the 2nd one so thinking that even if I'm a few days out I should be able to see a heartbeat at 7w. 🤞🤞🤞

Is anyone else still fairly symptomless? Don't get me wrong I'm exhausted and I have the odd bit of nausea but other than that nothing. Did a digi this morning and got a 3+ which reassured me that at least my HCG is increasing.

Told my best friend I'm pregnant today..she was very shocked! Like me she expected it to take us a bit of time again like DS did so she said she just wasn't expecting it she is obviously really happy for us though!

hayleyfx · 20/06/2018 17:48

Thanks ladies. Was amazing seeing the heartbeat. Would love to have another one at 9 weeks but don’t think my OH will agree due to the amount of money it costs haha!

@Picklesandpies massive congrats! It’s a great feeling isn’t it 😊

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/06/2018 17:49

Hmm I’m torn. On the one hand 7 weeks is sooner! But I think the odds are better after seeing a heartbeat at 8 weeks, if I was planning on having more than one I would just have another at 9-10 weeks but I’ve promised myself that I won’t be as anxious this time and don’t want to spend a fortune on scans again (genuinely spent about £600-700 over the course of my pregnancy with DS).

Will see how I feel in a week or so, no rush to decide!

I would say I’ve got more symptoms than I did at this stage with DS MrsY87 although hard to remember! I’m tired (although I slept crap over the weekend so might just still be catching up), I’ve had sore boobs and achey lower back since 3w5d, and I also had this strange pain on the right side of my belly button on Saturday at 3w4d which I had with DS and put it down to round ligament pain! That’s what first made me think I’m definitely pregnant!

AKAlucy · 20/06/2018 19:52

Lovely scan news @hayleyfx and @Picklesandpies. Still kicking along with a constant feeling of travel sickness here and being hungry but not being able to eat. Had corn on the cob and an ice lolly for my dinner so far!

Bluebeee · 20/06/2018 22:11

Wow, so many early scans! I had an idea for a good reason for not drinking. At a Halloween party I did some horrendous shots and gave myself gastritis. After the initial poorly period of about a week, I couldn't eat or drink properly for weeks even though I otherwise felt fine. Spicy or fatty foods I couldn't have and definitely no alcohol. I feel like if you say drinking is the reason you can't drink then that might be believable. Especially for those who are known to like a drink.
