@furandchandeliers. Good luck:-)

Camsie30 · 14/06/2018 21:40

Evening all! Had my second blood test today and HCG has gone from 500 to 2209 so my doctor is happy! Having an early scan next Monday 25th. Still not sure of the due date (IVF innnit!) But looking like late Feb!

Koalatom1 · 15/06/2018 06:16

@Fur and chandeliers-I had the exact same 2 weeks ago when I was 5 weeks and o got a scan. There was a bleed near baby but she said it’s normal. A rescan as couldn’t see much showed a heartbeat and also the bleed had shrunk. I wouldn’t have noticed had I not looked at the loo roll!

I’ve had 2 mc which started with bleeding so I was quite shocked when she said it was all ok!!

Let us know how you get on, I have hope you are ok xx

Koalatom1 · 15/06/2018 06:17

I’m not very good on mumsnet so not sure my tag worked above 🙈

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 10:12

Sharing a tip for nausea but might not work for everyone - just been to M&S and bought three servings of ready made mashed potato for £6. Not cheap but quite good if you need plain and filling! I'm currently cooking some fish fingers to have with it. At 10.00! Winning.

Also ready meals in general. I never buy them but they are good quick fixes if you ever have an appetite!

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 10:12

Welcome @Camsie30 Smile

emoji · 15/06/2018 10:17

Shall we create a list with our EDDs? Is anyone a whizz at creating a shared google doc or something that we can all add to? Otherwise I'll try do one manually.

welshweasel · 15/06/2018 10:54

Nausea is awful today. We’re moving house and I’ve just been for my scan (on my own as husband supervising removal men). All good. Heartbeat seen and bang on right size for 6+2. EDD 6th Feb!

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 11:15

That's great news @welshweasel! Not the nausea but the scan! I think that's the same EDD as me - but I haven't had a scan yet. Having one in a couple of weeks.

I sympathise with the nausea. Don't envy you doing a house move with it at all. Mine is so unpredictable - and seems to strike at the worst times!

Good luck with it x

furandchandeliers · 15/06/2018 14:43

Had a scan and the baby is fine, strong heartbeat and measuring 7 weeks today which is bang onso happy

@Picklesandpies that's made me hungry for mash and fishfingers now!

jeanzbeanz · 15/06/2018 14:48

Scan went well, measuring just under 6 weeks. Saw the heartbeat which was amazing and we were both so relieved / emotional!

MrsY87 · 15/06/2018 16:55

Congratulations on the good scan news! Glad to hear all is well! It's really tempting me to book one too!

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 17:18

@furandchandeliers and @jeanzbeanz

So nice to read your positive news! Fish fingers and mash to celebrate!

lanalawr · 15/06/2018 17:23

Lots of lovely scan news today. I've got a feeling my dating scan is going to be ages away. It's still a month until my first midwife appointment and they're booked in while you're there.
Can you throw me all your nausea fighting tips please? I didn't really have it with dd. Haven't been sick yet but feeling nauseous almost constantly this time.

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 17:58

@lanalawr biggest tip from me is to a little bit nearly all the time. I normally have no appetite at the moment but I am forcing myself to eat, even when I really don't feel like it, as it stops the nausea getting so bad.

Good foods/drinks so far:

Mashed potato (Tesco ready made is good)
White bread
Fish fingers and mash
Croissants
Strong hot tea
Rich tea fingers (found these v good)
Cream crackers
Watermelon
Apples (if I'm feeling well)
Ginger ale
Coke

Really healthy...! I am also trying to eat other more nutritious things but they don't always sit well.

I don't even have my doctors appointment until 29th and that's not booking in with the midwife! I'll be 8 weeks hopefully be then. I hope that's not too late?! Scan a few days before though so hopefully I'll at least know what's what.

Picklesandpies · 15/06/2018 17:58

Other tip is as much sleep as you can manage. I feel better when I've had lots of rest, or as much as I can.

lanalawr · 15/06/2018 18:38

Thanks @Picklesandpies. Oddly I seem to be able to tolerate food smells and eating most things. Will try for little and often though and see if that helps. My daughter's hair made me gag today (it smelt like pina colada).

Ooh, quite a lot of us here now!

Just general nausea and tiredness here. Finding myself very anxious this time round which isn’t fun.

I have type 1 Diabetes so will be very heavily monitored, first antenatal appointment will be next week and should get a scan around 8 weeks, I’m 5 weeks now so not too long to wait really.

Eyedontknow · 15/06/2018 19:19

@emoji my calculations put me around 4 Feb, but first scan isn't for awhile yet.

The morning sickness/nausea is getting increasingly worse. It was manageable at first, but I've been sick twice now. Also my boobs are absolutely killing me at night. This is only supposed to last the first trimester, right??

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 15/06/2018 19:20

Wow there are a lot of us! Well done @emoji for the list 😁

Rowse · 15/06/2018 19:31

So good to have a list, thanks @emoji! My EDD is 12th Feb, two days from my Birthday Confused

hayleyfx · 15/06/2018 19:33

@emoji thanks for the list! My EDD is 4th February!

jeanzbeanz · 15/06/2018 19:44

Mine's 9th Feb! Thanks!
