I’m creating this thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

Awww congrats @Milknosugar1!!

Everything ok with our little GIRL! So relieved. She was also all curled up and facing down but the sonographer managed to get measurements. Phew! Could see her yawn so she must have been sleepy!

Good luck to all still waiting for theirs. I'm sure you'll be fine @RhiBee29

twobambinos · 07/06/2018 15:45

Congrats on the scans everyone.
And best of luck to those still waiting.

My baby is breaking me up today with all the movement. He is going mad in there. Awe milknosugar1 sorry about the spd I can sympathise. I have it too now. Mild so far but that's how it starts out. I was at the physio again today for it. Im hoping this baby won't be overdue purely because of spd. Otherwise id have more patience.

RhiBee29 · 07/06/2018 15:56

Thanks all, everything was fine at the scan, very cooperative baby, let's hope it's a sign of things to come. I can starry preparing and shopping now

Congrats on your girl @BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy

@Milknosugar1 hope the referral goes through quickly and you get some relief soon

I think I may have spd but not sure whether to bring it up with midwife or if I have to make a doctors appointment? It's not every day and it's on like the outside of my hip/leg joint? Not sure if it is spd or if it's just my bad joints haha.

twobambinos · 07/06/2018 21:05

Expectingfirst it could be pgp I think spd is more down the front. I found the GP a bit lacking on my last pregnancy and they put it down to normal pregnancy niggles which it most definitely isn't.
My advice would be to push for a referral to a pyshio. I don't think they recommend chiro or osteo due to all the relaxin even though lots of people swear by chiros. You can only try make up your own mind.

Milknosugar1 exercises to strengthen the area which are pilates moves like clam, side step with resistance band, mini squat, squeezing a pilates circle or ball. and a list of things to avoid high heels, hoovering, standing on one foot to put clothes on, keep legs together getting out of car or bed. Sleep with pillow between legs.
They also suggested walking in the swimming pool forwards and backwards that the water provides plenty of resistance.

I had it the last time from 29 weeks so while it is mild this time it is still early and i know how bad it can get and I'm just a bit paranoid.

And after spd my next complaint today is my thighs rubbing together Blush depression

Sorry to hear so many of you are suffering with hips/pelvis already. Hope you manage to get some exercises or the like to help through the second half of our pregnancies

@Milknosugar1 I have done something similar for Hub and got this photo frame from eBay to put my 20 week scan into for Father's Day. He will be getting other stuff from step son but wanted something from our wee pumpkin too Smile (frame can be personalised too since we don't use the term bump i changed that to pumpkin)

@Milknosugar1 thank you, yes please give us an update on what happens! I'll have to have a look into PGP.

I have bought a Father's Day card but that's all, told him I wasn't going to get him anything and he will have to wait until next Father's Day but then I felt guilty haha.

@unicornchaser love that frame! Have you got a link for it?

twobambinos · 08/06/2018 16:56

@milknosugar1 definitely be forceful I just accepted it last time as a normal niggle but when it didn't go away after the birth I finally got told see a physio and they could have been helping to minimise the pain all along.

I love all the fathers day ideas. My dh will be getting something from dds I hadn't even thought to get something from the bump. Bad mom.

unicornchaser · 08/06/2018 23:49

@wednesday93 the one I got is slightly diff to the original photo I posted, this is the link from eBay! Really pleased with it! Came 2 days after ordering so still plenty time if you want to get oneSmile

I find out on Wednesday boy or girl! I’m so excited

Doll87 · 09/06/2018 12:25

I wasn't gonna bother with a Father's Day thing but then I found this (that I wanted for the nursery) and thought I'd wrap it for him as a Father's Day gift lol!

Thought I’d try some smoked salmon today .. bad idea 🤢 haven’t been sick but feel like I’ve gone back 4 weeks. Also very sore from gym yesterday, a very low impact workout but my ribs are killing. I’ve only done about 4 workouts since morning sickness left. I’m back to taking it easy now and deciding how to not feel sick. I’m on my own this weekend and am meant to be working but have not mustered the motivation yet, I did buy one of the picture frames though, thanks @biscay for the inspiration!

Ah sorry @unicornchaser for the Father’s Day frame! Lovely ideas all round from everyone. These dads are lucky 😊

Great news on everyone’s scans 🎉 and good luck for the last few of us to have them.

I’ve been at the osteopath for a few weeks now with a sacral strain from trying yoga at 12 weeks. It’s getting better but not much other than time and probably not being pregnant (no relaxin) will heal it properly. I’m sorry to hear how much pain some of you are in, it must be exhausting. I think we need to rename Father’s Day to parents day and spoil mums that weekend too!

@River93 exciting! Let us know what you're having! 😊

Ceebs85 · 10/06/2018 10:20

Private scan today as baby had it's legs crossed at my 20 week scan

Eek!

Katievb · 11/06/2018 06:28

Haven’t posted in a while.. work has been crazy busy. I feel like I’m more tired now than I was in the first trimester! Also has anyone else been going lightheaded a lot? I’m going to mention it to the midwife when I see her at my 25 weeks app next week. I bought a pram yesterday ekkk! Went for the Uppababy Vista, I’m so excited!

RhiBee29 · 11/06/2018 18:19

Can anyone confirm if the MATB1 has to be handed to your employer before you hit 25weeks? I've contacted my mw for one but not had a reply and my next appointment is 28wks!

Belles86 · 11/06/2018 19:15

@RhiBee29 I thought that you got this letter at 20 weeks (first timer here!) and so called triage at 22 weeks and they told me I’d get it at 26 weeks? Not sure if this is standard across the country though.. 🤔
