Great scan picture balalala!

emwithme · 05/05/2018 14:02

balalala What a lovely scan.

Rachie1986 · 05/05/2018 15:47

Fab scan pic balalala so glad things are working out x

Rachie1986 · 05/05/2018 15:48

Olga I'd like to but can you only PM on the computer? I'm on the app and can't see how to PM..

Wanttomakemincepies · 05/05/2018 16:31

Balalala congrats on the scan. Eggo sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish. It can be hard to get people to understand how grim you feel, but surprised DH isn't being understanding. Has he never been ill or hungover? I got out of hospital for hyperemesis today with some new meds and they have made all the difference. Don't hesitate about seeing GP or midwife if you feel sickness is getting a bit much. Hope everyone is having a reasonably smooth time in this heat.

Buenavista · 05/05/2018 17:38

So I know this is far far too early for this....BUT! If you had to decide on names tomorrow what would you choose??!

Happy32 · 05/05/2018 17:48

Anyone else feeling a bit morbid today? Can't help buy worry there's going to be nothing there when I go for the first scan as I haven't had any symptoms apart from tender boobs an now they're not even sore! 6 more days and I'll know. Probably just being really silly!

MagicalCreatures · 05/05/2018 17:48

@Buenavista haha that’s funny. Me and husband have had our baby names chosen since we were together 6 months. But not sure I can share as they’re not to everyone’s taste 😄
But would love to hear other people’s x

@Buenavista we have Camilla Mae or George Alexander. Been decided for years. I love Grayson James but OH definitely doesn't.

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 18:04

Oh and the reasoning behind it. George is my last name (which will be changing next year) and Mae runs in our family every girl has the middle name May or Mae (it changes spelling each generation)

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 18:04

@Happy32 we all get that babe!! I worry every day. I've started to realise worrying won't change it.

0lgaDaPolga · 05/05/2018 18:56

I definitely get that feeling too @happy32. Although at my early scan with my son I was convinced I’d made it all up and there would be nothing there until I saw him on the screen, little heartbeat flickering away. It’s just hard to imagine there is an actual baby there until you see it!

@rachie I’ve sent you a pm about the fb group. Hopefully you can see it from the app?

Re: names there are a lot of girl ones we both like. My son would have been Lola if he was a girl and I still like it. If it’s a boy he will have to be nameless as our sons name is literally the only one we could agree on Grin

emwithme · 05/05/2018 18:58

We've had a boy's name since Forever - he will be Edwin Neil, after the first two men on the moon.

Currently girls have a shortlist of Matilda, Martha or Clara (although Lydia and Dinah are sneaking up the outside). Middle name will be Elizabeth.

(Last year when we were pregnant we'd narrowed a girl's name down to Olivia or Alice. On the Friday before our MC, my cousin had a baby girl - Alice. On the Saturday, DH's cousin had a baby girl - Olivia).

Cakelaur · 05/05/2018 19:02

@emwithme LOVE the boys names! And the reasoning behind it. And I love Matilda. That's one my back up names after Camilla. I quite like Charlotte too. And Jessica.

December2018 · 05/05/2018 19:06

I love poppy....or we were thinking holly (due to being a December baby)
For a boy I love Alexander, or Liam James as my parter is called James liam so thought that was pretty cute 💙💜 xx

MagicalCreatures · 05/05/2018 19:15

Ok, since everyone is sharing....
Our boys name is Brady
our girls name is Indiana

We’re very American, can you guess!!!
(Not actually American but we’re massive nba fans and nfl fans 😀

We haven't agreed on names yet! We'll wait to see if it's a boy or girl as no point arguing over impossible names. Personally I like Anna for a girl or Charlie for a boy but who knows!

applesauce1 · 05/05/2018 20:32

My husband vetos every name I suggest. I like Henry for a boy, and Audrey, Saffron or Sophie for a girl. DH and my mum both hate Audrey though. So it probably won't be that!

BunBunMum · 05/05/2018 20:35

Hi all - wondering if I can join? I’m due about 29/11-1/12 so I’m about 10+2 but I was 5 days late with DS (2.5yr) so I’m thinking i’ll have a December baby!

Bora8 · 05/05/2018 20:50

0lgaDaPolga I have my scan on Friday & I’ll be 10+5. They have me down as 12+4 because of my very long cycle too. I’m so nervous

DoAsDreamersDo · 05/05/2018 21:01

We’re really stuck for girls names (DH seems to think we’ve decided on Sophie, but I’m not sold on the name - I don’t think it flows well with our surname). We’ve decided on Edward for a boy, named after his grandad.

Stephisaur · 05/05/2018 21:34

@buenavista Thomas if it’s a boy. DH’s Dad’s middle name and he sadly passed away a couple of years ago.

No idea for a girl 😂

balalalala · 05/05/2018 22:10

I'm pretty sure I've got a proper bump already! How is that even possible? Like I swear I'm the same size as I was about 4 months in last time round! It starts just below my ribs though so doesn't look the same as the bloat from the past few weeks. I'm going to be huge aren't I?! It's like my body has gone, oh yeah I remember this, ping! Ended up telling friends and family at a bbq today as there was no point hiding it!

There's some lovely names being put out by everyone above! Thomas is just lovely

December2018 · 06/05/2018 08:32

My lover abdomen is kinda swollen and hard to the touch... it was really flat before finding out we where expecting... I'm living in leggings and baggy t-shirts lol 😂 XX

Mamababynumber2 · 06/05/2018 08:37

Gorgeous names guys and balalala your scan photo made me realise that it is starting to looking like a baby now. I'm 8 +3

Is anyone getting very bad lower back ache?
Mine is so persistent and the only thing that is relieving it is a hot water bottle.
