Will give the Hula Hoops a try.. nausea has reared it's ugly head today. I'm absolutely full of a head cold and very bunged up. Everything is making me vomit.. taking my inhaler, coughing, I'm having to take sudafed (bad I know) because the pain I'm having on my sinuses is horrid and taking that is making me be sick too. Very miserable. Also I've woken up and my boobs are like boulders. Very painful to even sit braless. I would've thought that this phase would be gone.. I'm almost 14 weeks!

Ladies worried about losing weight - I’m just a lurker here (on baby #3) but with my first baby, I lost a stone in the first tri due to HG and I was pretty slim to begin with. Went down to 7 stones and I’m 5”8.
Needless to say my baby was (and still is at age 4) the picture of good health. One of the doctors I saw in hospital told me that your body will take goodness from its own organs to provide for baby.

Having HG/severe MS is one of the most miserable experiences in the world. I found looking after a (non sleep loving!) newborn a piece of cake on comparison.

Paranormalbouquet · 08/06/2018 11:04

Scan looked good. They were really gentle and the baby wouldn’t stay still so took a while but measuring 12w exactly, NT 1.2cm and heart rate 164. Was so relieved I forgot to ask for a photo! Anterior placenta so probably won’t feel movement for a while but I can live with that. Looks a bit low but as I’m having a section anyway it’s not the end of the world.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 08/06/2018 11:06

So pleased for you @Paranormalbouquet !! You've had a time and a half getting to this point so you must be so pleased to have such great results now. Enjoy!!

Paranormalbouquet · 08/06/2018 12:18

I honestly can’t believe after 3 miscarriages in less than a year that I’ve got to 12 weeks and had major surgery in the first trimester! I’m beyond thrilled. Harmony results next week now, hopefully it’s all ok and I can relax!

Gemsie1984 · 08/06/2018 23:30

Sat watching 'It' on Sky and felt what I can only describe as a bubble popping sensation very low down on my uterus to the left.. I felt similar at 19 weeks with my first, 16 weeks with my second.. I'm sure that's what it was.. but I'm only 14 weeks!!

Cakelaur · 09/06/2018 07:28

Eek @Gemsie1984 how exciting babe!! I can't wait to feel some sort of movement!! I can't believe you're second trimester. Also mega excited about getting there. I'm almost 13 weeks so not too long I go!!

JustVent · 09/06/2018 08:28

Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking a bit but I’m due in December, I think it’s about 27th. 12 week scan on Friday so know for sure.

I just needed to ask a question.
I’m currently typing with one eye open. I’ve got a headache that’s driving me insane, it’s all down one side of my head and forehead down to my eye. I went to sleep with it thinking it would pass and woken up with it.
I’ve just taken some paracetamol.

Does anyone else suffer with headaches?

Congratulations on everyone who has had scans recently. 😊😊😊

JustVent · 09/06/2018 08:55

Ah finally think the paracetamol has started to work.

What’s the rules with Ibruprofen? With DS1 it was a no-no, with DS2 it was ok.

I’ve got a BNF, I just don’t want to get out of bed to look at it yet.

leanne9312 · 09/06/2018 09:46

@JustVent I've been getting them too ! It's almost a migraine with the pain and area of pain and when I slept it was still there when I woke up I just had to sleep again and again until it was gone luckily the past few days they haven't been as bad as that one but still painful 😖

ND348 · 09/06/2018 11:29

@Gemsie1984 I felt a bubbling last night too! I'm only 15 weeks with my first so not quite sure if it was anything though as think it would be quite early.

@justvent the headaches are awful! I've been trying to rely on forehead and have got through nearly a whole stick as trying to avoid paracetamol...

Gemsie1984 · 09/06/2018 11:34

Ive been googling as I was doubting myself but seems that it is possible and I am pretty convinced, so much so that I said to DP "I'm sure I just felt the baby move!" I also got the Doppler in the area I felt the movement last night and found the baby's heartbeat right away!

December2018 · 09/06/2018 12:21

Omg gemsie! That's amazing I'm so looking forward to feeling those little flutters!
I've been very emotional today, I've burst into tears about 6 times today already... my OH has gone to a festival for the weekend so I'm doing a lot of sitting about by myself and I think thats getting to me a little bit...
My friend is coming round later for takeaway and a movie so I've got that to look forward too.... anyone else feeling very teary?? XX

Gemsie1984 · 09/06/2018 12:32

I was teary a few weeks ago.. I'm moody the last week. Very snappy and silly things are getting on my nerves. I've got a cold and was pissed off with myself yesterday because I sneezed and it hurt my stomach, like a pulled muscle. I was sat on my own and was huffing and puffing at myself! Very irrational - wonderful pregnancy hormones! If DP breathes next to me in the wrong way I give the 'look' 😂

MissMedusa · 09/06/2018 12:39

@Gemsie1984 I'm definitely feeling mine. I thought I might have last week already but wasn't certain, now I am though. Not often but maybe 3-4 times a day now and it's so nice. For me it's like a gas bubble that's just in one place rather then moving through your system or like a little muscle twitch. I think when you've had other children you're more aware what it feels like so can feel it earlier.

Gemsie1984 · 09/06/2018 12:48

Yeah with each pregnancy I've felt it earlier and earlier. Was expecting it around the 16 week mark tho, not 14! DP isn't convinced but I recognise the feeling. Mine was only in one place too. Not felt anything since last night but the heartbeat was in the same place this morning so it must've been movement.

JustVent · 09/06/2018 15:25

I’ve been feeling movement since 10 weeks! Of course I realise it’s either in my head, or just gas but it just feels so convincing.

I look forward to feeling the real deal.

With DS1 I was 15 weeks, DS2 I was 14 weeks.
I’m hoping I feel it at 14 weeks this time.
2 weeks to go!

MrsTeaPlease · 09/06/2018 19:08

I've had a couple of moments over the last week where I thought was that a movement but then I doubt myself! I felt definite little taps with my son between 15 and 16 weeks though, and am nearly 14 now. I think it all depends on what position the baby is in and what you are doing at that moment as to whether you feel it. Easier to know what to watch out for 2nd time around I think.
I'm suffering with the dodgy guts again today. Apparently baby no longer wants me to eat cake either Sad I think this baby is going to come out a health freak as any time I eat anything slightly naughty, rich or creamy my body is having none of it! I hope this doesn't last the whole 9 months!

Paranormalbouquet · 09/06/2018 19:14

I felt taps with DD at 15-16 weeks so was hoping to feel movement early this time but I have a very anterior placenta according to yesterday’s scan so I think I’ll be waiting quite a while unfortunately.

December2018 · 09/06/2018 19:34

I haven't felt anything yet... I am only 13 weeks on Thursday lol but I'm so impatient... I've just been lying there with my hands over where the baby is hoping to feel a movement from the outside.... obviously nothing haha!
Things we do ehh!

marthvader · 10/06/2018 11:54

I had an 'early' scan this morning (11+5) and it was magical! I wobbled my belly a bit to wake baby up and it stretched out and wriggled! All on track for DD of Christmas Day!
