Had our scan today and EDD has been brought forward to 17th December. They struggled to get a good picture as baby was very fidgety! Here is our little sesame (as husband calls it) but I think I’m renaming it bob the blob 😂

Bob the blob is gorgeous!!!!
It's a very strong overwhelming feeling of pride isn't it when you see your little bean!
Specially when they're wiggling about and dancing lol

Gemsie1984 · 01/06/2018 18:40

Aww all these lovely babies are growing!! 😄😄

Stephisaur · 01/06/2018 18:59

@December2018 it was definitely strange but I loved it!

Glad to see that your scan went well too :) x

FutureDays · 01/06/2018 19:40

Hi all, thought I'd pop my head in here, I'm just over 10 weeks and feeling sick constantly, had first midwife appt yesterday and got scan booked for 14th.

Gazingers · 01/06/2018 20:44

Hello futuredays! Bad luck with the sickness. It sucks doesn’t it? I have worn seabands today on my wrists and have felt loads better! Lovely blob stephisaur! I don’t know how to tag people’s names so that they go bold. How do you do it guys?? Hello roomarmoset! When are you due?

MagicalCreatures · 01/06/2018 20:53

December and Steph
Beautiful pictures and little bubbas.

@Gazingers type the @ symbol and the persons name and it should come up 😊
I think it's 27th Dec but the hospital put 22nd even though I had an early at 7 weeks and they put me a few days behind so it might be around 30th/31st.
When are you due?
It's so lovely seeing all these scans but frustrating being at the end!

FutureDays · 01/06/2018 21:37

@gazingers it certainly does, it wasn't as bad with my first and didn't start so soon so it took me by surprise this time.
I will definitely have to look into seabands, anything to make it better

Cakelaur · 01/06/2018 22:11

Amazing pics ladies. Hoping that will be me on Wednesday!!! Can't believe were approaching second trimester!!!! Eek!!!

Ameliaclem · 01/06/2018 22:30

Hi, I’m new to mumsnet! I’m due 14/12/18 with my first child!

Kit17 · 02/06/2018 08:45

People who've had your 12 week scan, I know you also have a blood test, but did you have any injections too? I have a severe phobia and am trying to prepare for the appointment on Tuesday, so want to know what's coming! Thank you!

Gazingers · 02/06/2018 08:47

Thanks @roomarmoset 😊 I am due on 31st December. My daughter was 10 days late though so I’m thinking baby will be born in the new year for sure. Definitely try the wrist bands @FutureDays. I even managed to eat a wagamamas yesterday! Can’t wear them at work though because they still don’t know... Welcome @Ameliaclem! First baby - super exciting! How are you feeling?

Gazingers · 02/06/2018 08:49

Hi @Kit17! No injections - just bloods and urine and lots of daft questions. Got asked if me and my husband were related...😂

MissMedusa · 02/06/2018 10:02

Congratulations on all the lovely scans! First trimester is (thankfully) almost over! I had mine on Tuesday, everything measuring how it should be and very low risk for chromosomal abnormalities despite being ancient Grin I was a bit worried about this as last pregnancy I had increased risk of trisomy 13/18 due to low hormone levels and with several mc under my belt I was sure I'd be high risk again but turns out hormones are high this time (which probably accounts for how sick I'm still feeling) and all is well with baby. The only problem now is my rubbish cervix which is already shortening. I have an incompetent cervix and gave birth to my last baby at 28+2 so will be getting a cerclage on June 11 which will hopefully help me carry the baby longer this time.

BTW I may be imagining things but I think I've felt the baby now. With my first I thought I felt him at 14 weeks and was certain of it at 16 weeks and had an anterior placenta. This time it's posterior and I know what I'm looking for iyswim. I'm also written off work and laying around most of the day with nothing to do so may just be going crazy. Grin

My Doppler came this morning and I've just given it a whirl.. found the HB after about 3 minutes (more low down than I thought) and it was a lovely 159-163bpm :)

emwithme · 02/06/2018 11:31

I've just spent the last 90 minutes trying on ALL my clothes...and this is the pile that no longer fits! It's going to really reduce my morning stress, knowing that whatever I grab out of the wardrobe/drawers will fit me rather than me being stressed at 6.30 am

December2018 · 02/06/2018 11:44

That's a very large pile of clothes haha!
I need to go thru mine, I've got a pair of jeans and a pair of maternity leggings and they are the only 2 items that fit in my whole wardrobe 😜
Good job I'm living in pjs at the min

Paranormalbouquet · 02/06/2018 11:45

All the scan photos are lovely! I’m hopefully getting out of hospital later today. I’ve got a huge wound and a fancy battery operated dressing to speed up healing as will be stretched very soon all going well. Hurts but managing with paracetamol. MissMedusa I hope your cerclage goes well.

Paranormalbouquet · 02/06/2018 11:46

I also am so bloated that I look about 7 months pregnant right now. Bought some enormous leggings before surgery and am glad now!

Stephisaur · 02/06/2018 14:17

The battery operated dressing sounds interesting paranormal - hopefully it will help!

We’re telling people this weekend 😬 so excited but feels weird to be letting others in on our little secret 😂

smoothies · 02/06/2018 16:04

I got my NIPT results yesterday, all fine and a baby boy! We announced and it feels real now. My 11 year old daughter is super excited about getting a baby brother!

leanne9312 · 02/06/2018 20:38

How many weeks were you when you got that test @smoothies x

smoothies · 02/06/2018 21:03

@Leanne9312 I was 10 weeks and one day! Smile

leanne9312 · 02/06/2018 21:10
