Those who are doing the harmony scan... is it worth doing it before finding out the results of nuchal scan?
I don't know too much about it? I think we were planning on doing it if we were high risk .

Morning everyone. I've come down with a horrible bug, have taken the day off work to recover as I didn't sleep at all last night. I also got up to go to the loo in the early hours and tripped over the wire for the fan - fell into the wall but luckily my arm took the brunt otherwise it could have ended so much worse! I haven't had a date through for my scan yet... I had my booking appointment 2 weeks ago and am 10 weeks today, how long did it take for your scan appointments to come through?

Wanttomakemincepies · 29/05/2018 12:19

I had my booking appt on Friday and my appointment for scan was a phone call this morning and I have it Friday. I am already 12 weeks though. Phone up if you haven't heard yet.

marthvader · 29/05/2018 12:29

Thanks @Wanttomakemincepies I will give them a call today!

Phew! All is okay.. baby was having a good stretch in there and crossed their legs at one point.. quite amazing to watch! DD has been moved forward 3 days so I'm now 12+2, due 9th December.

Awww gemsie! I'm made up for you! Beautiful little scan there 💙💕
I'm so nervous about mine on Friday didn't sleep most of last night worrying about it

MagicalCreatures · 29/05/2018 15:13

@Paranormalbouquet I had a horrible dream about having a miscarriage. It felt so real that When I woke up, for about 3 seconds before I opened my eyes, I thought it was real and that I’d lost my little bean.
When I did open my eyes I realised where I was and that it was ok but it let me feeling really awful all day.
Congrats Gemsie on your Scan. Beautiful bubba. X

Having my cervical stitch on Friday, it’s been brought forward. Eek. Will be 11 weeks (10+5 by scan).

Harmony test on Thursday.

DoAsDreamersDo · 29/05/2018 17:41

Had my scan earlier and everything went so well 😍 baby wasn’t playing though and although s/he moved around a lot would not get into a good position for the neck measurement. My Due date was moved forward a day though to 6th December 😁 I hope everyone else gets good news too x

emwithme · 29/05/2018 21:02

Came home from work today to two letters.

One is my screening result. Low for Downs, Edwards and Patau Syndromes.

The other is my appointment for the obstetric consultant. It's for 14 NOVEMBER. What is the point of having my first consultant appointment in what may be a complex pregnancy (due to previous pre-existing medical conditions) when I'll be 37 weeks? I think I need to speak to my midwife and check that's not an error!

December2018 · 29/05/2018 21:42

Hi girls me and my partner have booked a holiday to Greece on the 1st -14th September (already booked before we found out we are expecting)
I think I will be around the 26 week mark...ish
I'll be ok to fly.... right?

Cakelaur · 29/05/2018 22:31

Girls I'm spotting!!! 😭 11+2 had a big vom sesh earlier and was a little constipated. And when wiping there was pink!!!! I feel like I'm starting to cramp a little!!! 😭😭 so scared
Anyone had this?!

Gemsie1984 · 29/05/2018 22:36

Try not to panic.. I had that last week after a BM and it stopped. I asked about it today and the sonographer said that when the placenta takes over at 12 weeks is (you're not far off) that can cause a slight bleed.. hopefully it stops soon for you.. hugs x

Cakelaur · 30/05/2018 08:07

Thanks @Gemsie1984 It seems to have just been that one bit. God I hope it's all ok!! I have my nuchal scan a week today. At 12+4

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 30/05/2018 08:37

Glad to hear it was just that smidgen @Cakelaur fx it was as @Gemsie1984 said and is actually a good sign that the placenta is taking over! Bet you can't wait for your scan next week! Mine is a week on Monday 😬

MrsTeaPlease · 30/05/2018 12:47

Lovely scan Gemsie! I have mine tomorrow afternoon.x

December2018 · 30/05/2018 13:21

I have just tried to use my handheld Doppler and I can't hear anything I'm 12 weeks tomorrow surely I should be able to hear something by now.... and now I'm bricking it I have my scan on Friday and I don't know what to expect now 😢

December2018 · 30/05/2018 13:22

I just had a cry I feel so stupid lol

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 30/05/2018 13:25

Hey @December2018 try not to fret. Those things are notoriously difficult to use. Why don't you take it along with you to your scan and see if they can show you how to use it?

Gemsie1984 · 30/05/2018 13:29

@December2018 where are you using it? Baby is so low down at 12 weeks it's just above the pubic bone.. have a look on YouTube maybe to check positioning and if you still can't I really wouldn't fret as 12 weeks is still really early to hear the heartbeat on a handheld Doppler. Try not to stress my lovely x

December2018 · 30/05/2018 14:13

I think I've got it girls!! Phew!!
Definitely too fast to be my heartbeat lol
Took me over an hour I've taken a little video but won't let me upload to show you 😁
.... I did the whole YouTube video exploring lol

SecretStash · 30/05/2018 14:17

@December2018 I looked for the babies heartbeat earlier and it took me ages to find it. I was panicking like mad, it was horrible. Just yesterday I found it the instant I put the wand to my tummy, yet this took bloody ages.

That’s the problem with these things. It can be utterly torturous.
I’m just counting down the days until I can feel them move.

SecretStash · 30/05/2018 14:18

Gemsie1984 · 30/05/2018 17:06

Last two days I've had painful hips when I walk and even in bed my hips hurt when I turn over.. anyone else?

Paranormalbouquet · 30/05/2018 17:22

Gemsie I had this with DD but not so early. Physio was fantastic, ask your midwife to refer you.
