@mrsteaplease. I had a private one last week and saw clear outline of baby with heart beat. That was 9 weeks. Look back in the thred and you'll see all the wee scan photos from mum's to be!

Happy32 · 18/05/2018 14:45

@skittlelover, the storm will pass! You're not a cramp mum either. You're growing a new life and that's taking a lot of you so don't feel guilty.

Happysbno4 · 18/05/2018 17:07

@cake thank you found a Groupon and booked a private scan for £39.00. Booked for Sunday. I'm too busy earlier and I have my sister's 21st. I'm obviously preggers so the secret is out! Nothing fits! Just hope all goes well and on Sunday so I can relax and deal with Mr postive.

How are all my lovelies this evening?
I'm feeling really bloated and I have terrible heartburn tonight 🤢 xx

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 18/05/2018 21:08

I'm utterly shatteroonied! I work in mental health and with it being Mental Health Awareness Week we had an enormous event all day today (think 400 people in a room doing mindfulness workshops, playing at sensory tables and building Lego amid Zumba with 100 participants and feeding the 5000 😬 lots of fun and totally worth it but I've just got home and have been on my feet since 7 this morning!
Bring on the weekend!!!!

MagicalCreatures · 18/05/2018 21:59

Hi newbies.
Hope everyone’s doing ok.
I’ve been sneezing for weeks (think it’s abit of hayfever) and sometimes when I sneeze, no matter how hard I try not to strain and tense as my nose explodes, I get a sharp pain in my groin. It really hurts after and totally takes me breath away. It feels like I’ve suddenly pulled every muscle down there. Does anyone else get this?
Is this because my ligaments and stretching and maybe abit weak or something x

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 18/05/2018 22:22

Hi @MagicalCreatures I've had exactly the same - very strange! Is it likely to be round ligament pain do you think?

BunBunMum · 19/05/2018 06:41

I get the same too @MagicalCreatures!

December2018 · 19/05/2018 07:19

Me too! It feels worse in the mornings for some reason too

MrsTeaPlease · 19/05/2018 09:36

I get the can sneezing pains too and plenty of other pains at random times.got my scan in an hour, wish us luck! So nervous!x

December2018 · 19/05/2018 10:01

Good luck darl 😘

applesauce1 · 19/05/2018 10:30

It hurts when I sneeze too! I've never had hay fever before but seem to have uncontrollable sneezing fits and itchy tongue/roof of mouth this season, which apparently is hay fever. Whenever I sneeze, I have an irrational fear that the force will expel the bambino.

Roomarmoset · 19/05/2018 12:14

Hi ladies, can I ask some advice please? I received a letter today from the hospital and my midwife. I’ve been asked to get bloods done and fill out my green maternity notes by the appointment (24th May!). I haven’t had my green notes but my friend said the midwife gave her the notes when she first visited but the letter says I need to get them from my GP. Has anyone else had the same? I work full time so I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get to my GP and the hospital for bloods before Thursday.

Paranormalbouquet · 19/05/2018 12:33

Well I’ve been booked in. HIGH RISK plastered all over my notes. Reassuring!

MagicalCreatures · 19/05/2018 13:01

Glad it’s not just me with the sneezing fits.
And yes applesauce my first thought when it happened was ‘good god I’m surprised the force of that didn’t shoot bean right out of me’
And then I went and did the knicker check just incase 😳

Hey MrsTeaPlease how did it go today x

December2018 · 19/05/2018 17:40

I've been checking my lady briefs all day... been having lots of cramps and stretching pains 🙀
And really really wanting a certain food and when I make it.... it makes me wanna vomit 🤢

raysan1 · 19/05/2018 17:48

Roomarmoset, the midwife should give you the notes, not GP.
Had mine almost 2 weeks ago, it was quite a dull appointment, actually. Well, compated to how excited i was

Roomarmoset · 19/05/2018 18:28

Thanks @raysan1 I thought it was strange as everyone has said the midwife gives them to you. I've heard it's not an exciting visit so won't get my hopes up!

ND348 · 19/05/2018 18:42

I've been having weird stomach pains when sneezing too! Found that it's not as bad if I'm prepared and can tense in advance.

I've not been given my notes yet, the midwife filled them all in at my booking appointment and said I would get them at my 12 week scan, which weirdly is not at hospital or my local health centre where my midwife appointments are, but in a leisure centre!

DoAsDreamersDo · 19/05/2018 19:21

I also get a weird pain when I sneeze. It’s reassuring that it seems quite common x

My midwife gave me a ring binder with my notes and told me to take them when I go for my scan and any future appointments.

Blizzardagain · 20/05/2018 01:00

Finally got my scan letter through, 30th May! I'll be 12+6. Also got a letter through for my consultant appointment due to my BMI. I had the same with DS1 and don't remember having any issues but this time my midwife felt the need to 'warn' me to go in with a thick skin as many of her patients come away very upset after seeing this consultantConfused crap. I don't have to worry about that until mid June though

Usernamechecksout · 20/05/2018 08:02

@MagicalCreatures Yep it’s ligaments. I get it when sneezing too. Sometimes it happens when I stand up from sitting and I have to walk bent over. Can hurt quite a lot, which alarms my boyfriend, but I tell him it’s just ligaments!

Cakelaur · 20/05/2018 08:40

Tomorrow I'll be 1/4 if the way there!!! 10weeks!!!
