Right im off to bed. I had planned on going earlier but ended up watching Extreme Makeover-Wedding Edition. Dont normally watch things like that but it was about a man who had survived cancer but is now in need of a heart transplant and he had his dream wedding organised for him. It was so lovely and yes i sat there bawling my eyes out especially when they said the 'til death do us part' bit it made me feel really stupid for letting these last few weeks get me down, there is always someone worse off than us isnt there and if they can get through it then im sure i can put up with a few false labour pains

Heres hoping that we can all wake up tomorrow feeling refreshed and happy and that those of us not lucky enough to go into labour overnight wake up feeling great instead, no yucky pains, nausea, false alarms. Are you listening babies!!!

Goodnight

MKG · 16/05/2007 01:02

Hi everyone!! Well last night again had contractions for about two hours that suddenly stopped on their own. I just can't take it anymore. Either start or stop, but I can't continue with this every night. I'm counting down until my next appointment on Friday luckily it is in the early am so I will be able know stuff sooner. I keep drinking my raspberry leaf tea but it doesn't work. It doesn't taste that bad though so I think of it as my nightly routine now.

I hope one of us has a baby soon.

Oh Why Mrs JB..Are you getting some pains?!

(my pains have totallY stopped BTW and I feel quite chipper..DD has gone off to the cm's and I am going back to bed!)

Congrats to Meggle...

Lwatkins hasnt been on for a bit..and I think she was having a few pains last time she was on..so maybe...

what will they do at your appt MKG?A sweep do you reckon?

I could do with an extreme makeover Pebble..it would take something extreme to sort me out at the mo..I like that extreme makeover programme they do with the houses, whats it called? That one always has me in floods..

aprilmeadow · 16/05/2007 10:09

OOOh MrsJB i have my fingers crossed for you

Scoot - I LOVE Extreme Makeover - Home Edition. I record it everynight and watch it the following day. Pebble, i watched that episode the other day. It was a real tear jerker.

Meggle - congrats, you look fantastic!! Your ds & dd are gorgeous.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/05/2007 10:35

just had a text from lg&t, her farkin internet is down................ aghh, she's not impressed. So we are not to panic that she is not around.

I am having a few niggles, yes! Think something may be gearing up but could still be ages and will probably all stop. Have lots of pink discharge today and some good strong pains but nothing regular yet. Enough to wake me up each time through the night.

Congratulations to Meggle and family! BeaBea is gorgeous, so is ds and as for you, madam, well, get into Marie Claire right now! No one should look that good after birth!!! Well done, what a surprise!

I reckon Lwatkins is on the way as well, and mrs jaffabiffa, you sound as if you are! I, of course, am hanging on until June...

Was supposed to go to see a friend in Oldham this afternoon who has a new baby, but I feel a bit bleurgh, so have cried off. The thought of the drive

In a positive action, I have booked myself a hair appointment for next Wednesday so that I can pretend that I am not really about to be overdue.

Can I recommend New Look for children's clothes? I went to the one in Altrincham yesterday, I have never seen children's clothes in a New Look before, they were lovely, a little bit quirky, almost French really, and not expensive, especially in the sale. I bought two tops for ds and two babygros and a top for ds2/d. Bargain!

scootermum · 16/05/2007 11:19

I got DD some really cool stuff in New Look too InTheseShoes...bargainous as well..

Well it all sounds promising Mrs JB..keep us posted if you can..do you feel quite nervous or just ready to go?I am oscillating wildly twixt the two at the moment!

Oh its so nice to be in bed with nothing to do..(and not have to be poorly as an excuse either)Havent done this since my last maternity leave, (which I realise now I should've savoured a bit more, blimey I didnt know I was born then!)Am going to break open my box of Petits Couer which DH followed my strict instuctions and bought me back from Paris..Also some nice chocolates which were a nice surpise..

Will have to get up no later than one though for more viewings..need to have a tidy round and at least get dressed..

twelveyeargap · 16/05/2007 12:17

Morning all (just about). Am also having interweb difficulties. Keep having to reset the stupid BT homehub thingy.

Congratulations Megg. BOTH your children are just gorgeous.

scootermum · 16/05/2007 12:24

Hi hon,

Was beginning to think I was the only one not having a baby today its so quiet!
Still in bed but will have to get up shortly as am hungry..am going to have some fish finger sandwiches, I have eaten nothing but junk for weeks and cant be bothered to change the pattern now!

twelveyeargap · 16/05/2007 12:49

Fish finger sandwiches! Yum.

LupinsBigLump · 16/05/2007 12:53

Intheseshoe - thanks for recommendation i need no excuse to shop!!

Meggle congrats on you lo

MJB do you have to talk about pink discharge while i am eating seafood salad baguette - ewww to much imagination, good luck with pains - come on out little baby

Where do you suppose lw is, deffo reckon her baby has arrived unlike her not to be on for a natter

LupinsBigLump · 16/05/2007 13:04

Just realised I should have been having my section yesterday I have a 6 week old lol

JonahB · 16/05/2007 13:07

Scooter, glad to hear DH is home now ? must be a relief. As for the man ? that happened to me when we were trying to sell our house a few times. I?m sure it?s nothing to worry about, just an incompetent estate agent . BTW, what are Petits Couer? Sound delicious and snacky . I had already planned my fishfinger sandwich lunch ? why change the habit of the past 5 days!!!!

Pebble/MKG, sorry to hear about your false starts. That?s not fun at all. Last stages of pgy are hideous enough without that on top.

Mrs JB ? fingers crossed!!!

Meggle, how glam do you look post-birth? Congratulations!!!! You?re kids are absolutely gorgeous!!!!

I?m trying not to get too fed up yet as I?m already in the mindset that I?ve still got ages to go. I?m not due for another 9 days and I?m not getting any of the ?signs? of labour. Think I?ll be here till June unfortunately .

juliewoolie · 16/05/2007 13:11

Hi girls

gosh it is quiet on here today. I do reckon LW is off having her baby defo not like her to be so quiet.

MrsJB does sound like you might be about to all kick off.

Congrats Meggle.

At this rate I think I might still be pregnant in July, am 38+1 today no signs of anything atall, was meant to be having my section tom so feel a bit hard done by that I might still be pregnant for another 4 weeks!

Have to waddle to the post office later - finally managed to persuade DP that he should sell all his random computer equipment on ebay and so subsequently am on first name terms with the postmaster.

scootermum · 16/05/2007 13:27

Petis Coeur are little heart shaped biscuits that you get in France..(also in the French Deli near my work but even I draw the line at driving 1.5 hours to get some!)I thought they only came in the plain kind, which are lightly sugared, but Mrs JB tells me there is also some kind of chocolate version which might warrant some investigation!
Fish fingers were delish, simple things..Have managed to drag self into shower as well and will clean in a bit, and I may even go for a walk after the viewing assuming it doesnt rain first, which think it will..(in which case am going to watch OC dvd's)

I wonder how Mrs JB is getting on..hope she can get us some news somehow..

And also SOH..hope she is recovering ok..cant be easy after all that palaver..

Bet the 6 weeks have flown Lupins!

Im not due till next Thurs and after yesterday am feeling nothing at all..so we shall see..Was just musing then on how odd it will be to have a tiny baby in the house again and wondering how different it will be this time from last time..I must confess I didnt love the first 8 weeks of DDs life(though I did love her)-I was so shocked by it all I think and exhausted and struggling with BFing..think I will enjoy it more this time as wont be as stressed out..but then it will be double the trouble with DD I guess so swings and roundabouts!

largeginandtonic · 16/05/2007 13:50

Hello all, hope we are all having babaies?!

MrsJB and TYG have been keeping me informed while my farkin interweb has been going crazy.

Soooo Mrsjb anything else happenin? You too Scoot, will we have a double delivery today, i hope so.

Just read Meggle's birth announcement, by christ she looks fab! Those babies are gorgeous too, i love the name Beabea. Was she going to be a Hugo then? Good name that

Im still leaking jelly and have used and abused poor DH. My work is done, come on baby.

I am at least a happier bunny today, it could be down to the hysterical 'virgin school' programme dh and i watched last night. I thought i was going to laugh the baby out Did anyone else see it? My god it was fab, in a very cruel kind of way, hee, heeeeee.

You ok Pink? All excited about tomorrow, only one sleep to go.......

cinnamontam · 16/05/2007 14:01

Well - too many of us online chatting for there to be a rush of babies today but maybe LW is off birthing

cameroonmama · 16/05/2007 14:02

oooh MrsJB, could it be the day for you? Keeping my fingers crossed, feel free to text me and I can post for you xxx

Meggle, what gorgeous pictures, well done and what a surprise to have a dd instead of a ds, how funny!

Where is LW???

Come on May babies, lets have 'em out!

Good luck for tomorrow Pink, thinking of you.

scootermum · 16/05/2007 14:13

Nothing doing here except the cleaning largegandt..and thats not nesting either-its trying to get this ruddy house sold before there is a newborn in it-dont like my chances of keeping it clean and tidy much for a while after that..
Bet your DH is loving it, you being overdue now with all the 'using and abusing', think my DH is secretly hoping for the same!

Oh yes, PinkJ..Tomorrow is the big day!Good Luck hon!

Hows it going Cam?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/05/2007 15:01

afternoon...

Thanks cam.

Well, the pains are still coming they are bit funny though, each one feels the same but I am having a good un every 10mins with a little one at about 6mins in between. I am having to stop and breath through them, ouch just had a big un. I definately think these are proper contactions now. they start deep in the front of my bump very low and then work their way round to my back. I have immense pressure with each contraction too and I'm still leaking pinky stuff. [sorry Lups]

I'm still not convinced they'll continue though. However must keep reminding my self it's 45 mins to the Hospital so musn't leave it until they are too close together.

I'll keep you posted.

lg&t, keep visualising.....

Hope evry1 is OK. Ouch...........
