There is still time TYG, if you hurry up you might beat her to it!

twelveyeargap · 16/05/2007 15:24

Nah, fark it. Am too busy eating Twicks now.

scootermum · 16/05/2007 15:34

Woman after my own heart!Have finished my biscuits, am on to the Belgian chocs whilst listening to an interesting thing about festivals on 5 live..

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/05/2007 15:43

ohhh chocolate yummm, see never not in the mood.

dh is here now, he was only on the roof of my next door neighbours, have given him a shout and he's just come home for a shower. Going to give it another couple of hours and if things are still going then we are going to go in and see what they say. Have packed the last bit's in my bag, I think!
It's scary..... only because I can't really believe it might be happening, it can't my body doesn't know how to go into Labour on it's own and certainly not 2 days before edd. This must be a mistake, I just need a big fart or maybe I slept funny last night resulting in backache????

Hi all

Mrs JB - sounds like you're on your way!

Congrats Meggle - you look fabulous.

Thanks for all your best wishes. I am officially in a foul mood today as I am absolutely petrified something will be wrong with the baby, and have had this enormous lump in my throat all day - so when I go to my mum's later I am bound to just burst into tears as soon as I see her which will totally freak her out, and then I'll worry about worrying her. Does everyone feel like this just before? I know I will regret not being excited, and being so worried, after all, I've spent most of the pregnancy like this!!! Albeit not in quite as bad a mood as today!

I am just so glad that this time tomorrow, it'll all be over, bar the shouting.

scootermum · 16/05/2007 15:48

lol Mrs JB..I think your body might finally have caught up with the program though..
Dont leave it too long to go to the hosp, promise?Just in case...Very uncomfy being in hard labour in a car..The worst that can happen is they will send you home I guess, but rather that than have the baby en route..
Eat some chocolate..You might need the energy in a bit!
xx

MarsLady · 16/05/2007 15:58

How you doing MrsJB? Hope all going well.

MKG · 16/05/2007 16:14

Scooter,

I don't know what they'll do on Friday probably just an internal (hopefully the paper won't get stuck again) I don't think they do sweeps that much over here. I've never heard of one until I found MN.

MrsJB I hope you have a baby today because I need to live vicariously through someone else.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/05/2007 16:28

I'm ok mars thanks

beggining to wobble a bit. With every one I feel like I need to go to the loo. They just seem to be taking forever to get closer together and lasting long enough to be actually doing something.

farkin hurts though

going to sit it out a while longer, feed the dc's, sort them for bed, check my bag etc... say ouchhh a few more times etc, etc......

Watch this space, I'll be saying, Morning all....... as usual tommorow I'm sure.

How long are they lasting? And how far apart? (The length being the most important thing). Also.... describe exactly how you feel.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/05/2007 16:43

Just had 4, 6 minutes apart, lasting just over minute now, they've really sped up in the last half hour. Feel, scared, excited shocked, I'm not sure to be honest, I feel all that inbetween each one. Whilst they are happening I feel like it hurts low down from front round to back, like a really bad period cramp. Having to stand and breathe through them leaning over something.

Just spoken to MrsJB and she is off to hospital. Will keep you all posted. WOOHOO come on little baby jaffa

MarsLady · 16/05/2007 16:54

good!!!!!!!!!!

If you speak/text her etc.... tell her to breathe through the contractions and to go with her body. Follow her instincts and all will be well.

twelveyeargap · 16/05/2007 17:03

Hurray for Minijaffa.

Pinkjenny · 16/05/2007 17:07

Why does everyone think they need a good fart when they are in labour? Didn't SOH say that too!

Its all so exciting. Babies, babies, babies!!!

lulumama · 16/05/2007 17:09

pinkjenny did you make it to the baby day and did you get to talk to anyone about ECV? x

Pinkjenny · 16/05/2007 17:13

Hi lulu - I didn't make the baby day as my mum organised a surprise baby shower for me!

I went in to have the ECV but Mr. Jones said that the baby is rammed up against the side of my womb and there was little possibility that she would turn. He advised me to go for an elective c-section, which is tomorrow at Ormskirk.

I am absolutely, officially, terrified. Despite these lovely ladies trying to convince me that it won't be as bad as I am expecting!

oh, best of luck jenny..do you want some elective c.s birth plan info?

i hope you enjoyed your baby shower

juliewoolie · 16/05/2007 17:35

ooh best of luck Mrs JB was sure it would be scootermum next or hopefully me but yeah way to go!

Pink please dont worry about tom from everything I have been told an elective cs is soo much easier to recover from than an emergency you will be fine as will mini PJ. I think we all worry about something being wrong with our babies I know I have panicked all the way through my pregnancy as I was not to careful initailly. GOOD LUCK
