cinnamontam · 19/05/2007 19:38

MrsJB - your family are gorgeous
Can't believe I'm going to have one of them soon.

Great to hear about your DD LG&T. Nice to know she is ok with generals too.

I'm with you RK. There's only so much time I can spend reading and making curtains

cinnamontam · 19/05/2007 19:39

Oh bugger - SCOOT. I only have your work email and just got the out of office thingy.

JonahB · 19/05/2007 19:43

Congrats Dizzy!

MrsJB, you have absolutely gorgeous kids!!

LG&T ? your DH is a brave man! My DH wouldn?t dream of touching my boobies at the moment, for fear of getting his hands ripped off at the wrist

Nothing happening here at all. 6 days until EDD. Oh, apart from sleeping becoming more and more difficult. I?m at the stage where I don?t believe that there can be any more room left in there, but I?ve been proved wrong in the past when I?ve thought that .

Take care ladies, wishing you lots of easy deliveries overnight?..

twelveyeargap · 19/05/2007 20:02

Many, many congratulations Dizzy. Great story MrsJB and beautiful pictures.

Evenin'. Am categorically NOT having a baby. Farkin' family can all fark off with their "anything happening" calls too. Tsk.

Went out this am to a Christening and forgot to turn my phone back on after the service. Fell asleep during the incredibly boring cup final hence I've been AWOL most of the day.

Baby is much quieter today than normal. I do have movement, but no big stuff, so I'm hoping it's a sign of some sort. Not holding my breath though. Dagnammit. I SWEAR next time I have a baby I am NOT going to tell ANYONE except DH and DD my due date. I'm going to say "late May" or something. Tsk.

How is DD getting on LG&T. I'm gutted for you that you couldn't go with her, I'd be exactly the same. Well done though, becuase the decision you made is the right on. Just HARD!

Oh, did I mention that loads of older ladies at the Christening kept saying things like, "Oooh, you're very high still. ANother week to go AT LEAST." Thanks a lot you wizened old cow now bugger off...

twelveyeargap · 19/05/2007 20:05

scootermum @ yahoo.co.uk for those of you needing to email her.

Juicylucytoo · 19/05/2007 20:08

Right am officially fed up now of being pg. At the same time have to hang on for another 5 days at least until DH is home. Aaarrggghhh.

Am eating like it's going out of fashion. Nothing on the tele. Everyone is busy and I'm too knackered to go anywhere. Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.

Mrs JB Jorja is very cute. Very jealous.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 19/05/2007 20:22

lg&t, glad to hear P's op was a sucess.

TYG, Jorja was very quiet the day before. However she was doing her nut whilst I was in Labour. Kept kicking the midwife everytime she touched my belly. lol I sympathise with the "your still high comments" Grrr sooo annoying, it's crap BTW.

Do you think I'm addicted to MN? It comes to something when your Dsis knows the best place to get in touch with you. Ooooops

Off to sit down now, Jorja sleeping on Nannie at the moment in their room, Oh it's nice to have parents in the house sometimes.

Lol at the family message board Mrs JB..your lo's are so gorgeous..and Jorja is so pretty..quite teary looking at the pictures..

Thanks all for trying to email etc..my connection went down so couldnt get back on to save you all the bother-sorry lovelies...

MARS--and anyone else for that matter!Am getting a bit nervous about my labour as I had a third degree tear last time and was being stitched for two hours in theatre after..now I wouldnt have worried but foolishly just spoke to my SIL who had a lesser tear with her first and for her second, as a result, had an elective caesarian on advice of her consultant!I then googled it and have scared the bejesus out of self at thought of scars rupturing and ending up doubly incontinent etc..My midwife hasnt mentioned anything re my tear last time, so what Im wondering Mars, (and anyone else still awake-golly I can ramble)is, should she have? And should I be having some sort of planned episiotomy or something..(especially as last birth was only 17 months ago-would that make it more or less likely to be troublesome?)

Sorry to hijack the thread with my worries all..

scootermum · 19/05/2007 21:08

Oh TYG-I havent had much movement for a few days now-but then sometimes I probably dont register it with DD hoofing me in the belly and using me as a climbing frame..

Have just realised I havent bought DD a present from the baby yet-so I CANNOT go into labour before Toys R us opens in the morning!

My God-there really IS nothing on telly-honestly why cant they out some sort of decent film on?Dont they know there are new mums and mums to be out there in need of entertaining-nothing even on Sky box office I can be bothered to pay for..I may even have to read my book-which I have been 'reading' for approx 5 years..I never get further in than about 3 pages before im asleep.

MarsLady · 19/05/2007 22:13

Have emailed you darling.

But briefly..... each birth is a different one. What you need to do is to take your fear and look it in the eye.

You need to be relaxed in your labour (I know ladies... I know!!!!!!!!!! But it does work). Go with and not against the pain. Trust yourself and your body. Visualise your baby coming down and your body opening up and the baby coming out. Talk to your baby, tell baby what you want.

Don't listen to your DSis etc. You tore, it doesn't need to happen again. It may not.

Call me! Cinnamontam will tell you... I'm a bossy moo, but you can trust me [Arthur Daley leer]

cinnamontam · 19/05/2007 22:17

Have just emailed you Scoot

Mrsjaffabiffa · 19/05/2007 22:25

Aghhhhhh Mars Noooooooo...... It's all still too real. The bit about your body opening up made me shudder.

Sorry scoot, Make sure your midwife is aware of your fears at the time of birth, then hopefully they will do all they can to keep things slow and stretchy.

Must go to bed, Jorja soundo, sleep when baby sleeps. Is that right? MN when baby sleeps more like.

OP posts:
MarsLady · 19/05/2007 22:27

Go to bed MrsJB. I do hope you are babymooning and not going out and about just yet. Obviously MNing is allowed as you can do that from your bed.

Big kisses to Jorja.... the song Georgia on my mind is running through my head now.

Gingerbear · 19/05/2007 22:32

Mars, you sound just like Ina May.
(My hero at the moment)
That is why I want to stay home as long as possible.
I read something the other day about avoiding tearing - about african women putting gourds up their fanjos to stretch the perineum!!

MarsLady · 19/05/2007 22:34

Leave your perineum alone!!!!!!!!!

You haven't called so I'm assuming all is well.
