I said i'd just use a clock too, but it really helped to use this when i was trying to type on MN during contractions

ellenkpa · 14/05/2007 23:16

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 23:37

Natty - I too will be checking in the morning to see if you are okay - so don't leave us hanging!

Night Delor...

Ellen - Some people are so out of order!?
I too am a 'y' and have an American family (lived there till I was 6) - where it is a very common name for girls. But when I moved to UK in the 80's it was seen as very wacky. It's more common now a days tho.

For what it's worth - now I'm an adult - I quite like it! And people very rarely forget my name (sometimes not so good )

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 23:37

I'm pooped
Off to bed

NattyThomasandEllen · 15/05/2007 07:26

What an exciting evening, all the good stuff happens after I've gone to bed!.....glad you're still with us Natty.

Been having very odd pains this morning too....first one felt like a really bad cramp which I think was ligaments as I was trying to get up from kneeling on the floor (I'd like to see Super fucking Nanny get down to the kids level to tell them off at 8+ mo pg!!!), the second was when I was just sitting on the sofa, and I can only liken it to the baby trying to chew its way out. Effing Blinding sore (much to DS amusement, then anguished concern) and its all still feeling a but twingey and stinging in the cervix region.....is this normal? As a second timer I feel I should be able to know my body more, but I was induced the first time, which is a whole different experience I believe...

DKMA...I'm empathising with you on the name front...I have an equally comedy sounding name thanks to my DDH (also in the vein of Magnus Magnusson)....which is why I still use my maiden name at work...couldn't bring myself to use my married name umpteen times a day when answering the phone! I feel lke it should belong to a fat balding darts player!!

My virus checker has gone an alarming shade of orange on the status bar at the bottom of the screen and keeps beeping at me, but won't tell me what the problem is...been through all the options and am no further forward...bleeding annoying!

BadZelda · 15/05/2007 08:37

Morning all! No babies then ;) My (short) list of things I'm looking forward to...well it may sound odd but actually i haven't minded as much being pregnant this time...

  1. meeting small person
  2. cycling / rollerskating again
  3. getting my clothes out of storage
  4. not being pregnant

I am NOT looking forward to hellish six weeks of postpartum misery that is establishing breastfeeding and getting baby into some kind of routine...but maybe it won't be so bad this time.

I have had some potentially BRILLIANT news this morning, but don't want to get my hopes up....a publisher has just emailed to say he is 'really enjoying' my manuscript! Eek!

hollyandalice · 15/05/2007 08:46

Will everyone stop nearly having babies? Glad you are ok after the excitment last night natty!!

Hope you're ok daisy and your pains have gone! I am the same as you having been induced last time. I had no niggles or pains beforehand and no BHs. This time I'm having loads, so I'm not sure what is going on really, it's all new!

Have you written a book bz?

BadZelda · 15/05/2007 08:47

Yep - it's a novel about a serial killer who shrinks his victims heads after covering them in tattoos...as he's trying to reconstruct the original language everyone spoke before the tower of babel was destroyed....honestly!
