Hooray bumper! Bet you feel great now!!!

I love those pint and half pint t-shirts daisy, I've wanted to get them for dp for ages, he loves them too! Maybe he can have them for fathers' day!

bumperlicious · 11/05/2007 18:05

Just catching up. Daisy sorry to hear you are having a crap time with DH. I know what you mean about having to ask for support. My DH will do his best to try and solve any problem that I have but he needs directions. While I've been pg and often having a wobbling he's been like "what's wrong, what can I do?" and mostly there is nothing wrong and all I need is a cuddle but I don't want to have to ask for it!

I don't have any experience in the parenting thing but before we got married we lived about 200 miles apart for 2.5 years and it was a real struggle, and we used to fight about the stupidest things, and we would usually speak last thing at night when we were both tired and cranky. I hope you mange to work things out, but there is no denying it is difficult.

daisybump · 11/05/2007 18:28

He redeemed himself by sending me a lovely bunch of exotic flowers from my favourite florists...oh how shallow I am

daisybump · 11/05/2007 18:31

Just ordered some Bravado bras from figleaves....but found these too ....a bit plain, but you can't fault the price

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 18:39

hey bumper congrats on leaving 'work.' Your new job starts shortly.... TBH can't imagine ever going back to my old City job tho I'm still on leave

I have to read up on feeding a toddler. I think I'm going about it all wrong. It's taking way too long and all I can think is, there is no way I'm going to have half the patience to guess what DS wants (without giving in too easily) when I've got the new baby to contend with!! Any top tips from mums who've been through this stage before??

Mmmm latest drool item - storage from GLTCo. check it out

daisybump · 11/05/2007 18:45

Nice cabinets...

We never really had any problems with DS eating...he'd pretty much have a go with anything, but his favourite was pasta and rice, so I just used to vary the sauces....he used to love scrambled eggs as well and tbh we just used to let him get on with it, however long it took.

derlor · 11/05/2007 18:51

hello - i'm having a crappy day cause now i'm ill!!!!!!!
just logged on to catch up but have to get my say in re anaemia.
natty - 10.1 is low but not TOO low - try also spinich and beetroot which will both natuaraly help raise it. (should be around 12)
Trace if your haemoglobin was 5.8 you would possibly be dead!!!!!!! you would definately be in hospital receiving copius amounts of blood at the very least, that MUST be your result of your test for diabeties which is also done routinely. normal levels for this are between 5 and 8 so that would make sense.
haven't actually read much further on than those posts so apologies if i am repeating what someone else has already said.
will keep reading to catch up but may not join in tonight cause i think i might barf before too long x

daisybump · 11/05/2007 18:56

Derlor...you have been through the mill with this sicky bug....what you need is some Buckfast tonic wine...that'll sort you out

hope you feel better tomorrow...at least it only seems to be a 24 hour thing

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 19:10

Hope your sleep is a deep, vomit free one! xxx

daisybump · 11/05/2007 19:36

I'm off for the evening. DH home now and it would be very very bad of me to spend the evening on the computer....and we have lots to talk about, not least my sudden urge to have an elective c-section.....although he is still making work phone calls...but food proc=duction facilities don't really do weekends.

I'm going to try desperately to stay away as much as poss next week...I've really got to get things organised. I've had my six weeks holiday, now down to the hard graft of getting this place ship-shape and baby fashion.

Have a good weekend one and all

bumperlicious · 11/05/2007 19:51

Sorry you are feeling poorly derlor, it's never ending for you at the moment!

Daisy, hope you have a nice weekend with DH.

Hope the rest of you have a good weekend too. We are off to the baby show tomorrow.

Quick question, when you guys are buying nursing bras (thanks for the links btw) what size are you buying? The size you are now?

NattyThomasandEllen · 11/05/2007 19:58

riabutterflew · 11/05/2007 20:07

I reckon I'll be buying the biggest size bra I can find, with 50% extra free to sew on somewhere

Hope you feel better soon derlor.

I have just left the boys (well, it looked like them, but I'm not 100% sure that they hadn't been swapped with alien life forms) happily at the grandparents for the sleepover, so I'm off for a shower and to (try to) find something nice to wear, then hopefully my friend will arrive for a glass of wine (I am happier now I have hoovered up the crisp crumbs - she has boys too and most of the toys littering the floor are things her boys have grown out of...)

So, I am sad to say I'm not playing tonight! Hope you all have fun.

Enjoy your weekend

foxybrown · 11/05/2007 20:12

Hello all, going to be a quiet night on here tonight then? Been a busy day, LOL at the placenta menus - EEEUUUWWWW.

Those bras are great. I'm just going for a size bigger. I don't expect to get the oversized jugs I had the first time round, as I didn't have them 2nd or 3rd. Its more about hoisting them up above waist level for me

Am so tired, so won't be on here much either (at least that's what I'm aiming for) but DP is away, I've been at the Science Museum with DS2 on school trip and have had lovely bath with DS1 now in my new pjs (which I was saving for when baby is born - why?) and have eaten two cadbury flake cakes (they are very little aren't they?). Children all ate their dinner and fell asleep perfectly. I like evenings like this!

Happy and contented foxy tonight.

bumperlicious · 11/05/2007 20:14

Glad you've got something nice to do tonight Ria. Hi NT&E, hope you are doing ok. As usual you are upbeat in the face of impending doom! Wish I could be as stoical as you! I hope that having a baby will make a bit more philosophical about things. Just a few more weeks of selfish wallowing then!

NattyThomasandEllen · 11/05/2007 20:15

can almost hear you purring foxy

bumperlicious · 11/05/2007 20:16

Hi foxy, glad you are having a nice evening so far. I think I'm going to take it easy on here tonight too. Got plenty of time to spend on here now I'm a lady of leisure!

NattyThomasandEllen · 11/05/2007 20:19

well i see, the one night i have to myself to chat on here and u are all abandoning me

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 20:22

I want a flake cake !

Dp is watching footie [yawn], so I shall be doing virtual window shopping all night!

Have fun tonight Ria, don't drink too much wine !

Glad you are feeling better natty!

foxybrown · 11/05/2007 20:25

Do you think we could persuade Ria's chef husband to do a Meals on Wheels service to fill our freezers before our babies are born???

I really can't be arsed to do it myself.

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 20:27

I don't think I could fit any actual food in my freezer, it is mostly full of frost! It's getting to the not being able to close the door stage, think maybe it needs defrosting!

foxybrown · 11/05/2007 20:27

The flake cakes were delicious!

Natty, you amaze me! I'd be living in stress-city if it were me!

Holly, do La Redoute sizes come up small? Don't think I'll be an 8/10, but 12/14 might be too big.
