OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Apparently they used to use the placenta in beauty products (anti-aging cream etc) but can't anymore because of cross contamination issues.

Thankfully the BH have stopped and I don't feel dizzy. Have just put pork casserole in to cook and am going half-heartedly pick up toys and vacuum in the living room, and forget having an immaculate conservatory to sit in tonight - it would be nearly dark anyway! The boys havemade more work by trying to pack their own stuff for the sleepover. DS1 has a tennis racket and an airfix spitfire! I will keep calm and it will all be fine...

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 16:37

sorry meant to be "60" cm square cover. any kind of pattern will do really but prefer something very neutral or slight blue or purple or silver okay.

really do need this not jsut trying to change subject (but god almighty would you PLEASE stop discussing the eating of your own body parts?? )

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:38

I thought that was just an urban myth Ria....is it true?

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 16:38

Our neighbours would be ok if it wasn't for the parking issues! We have one car and would actually like to park it on our actual road sometimes!

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 16:41

rofl daisy at the spikes on your buggy...d'you think we can get them at a discout on kiddicare??

my neighbours are sweethearts - some really are ancient but they are all very kind. perhaps it's us who are the annoying ones as we do have a rather barky dog... though I am good about getting her inside to stop when she gets it into her head to go all crazy...

riabutterflew · 11/05/2007 16:42

My MW with one of the boys said so.

We have parking issues here too. Grrr. Makes DH v cross and shouty.

I am too bored to pick up toys. The boys are fighting. I HATE TEATIME.

Any idea where I could find a pattern to make covers for dining chairs? (not for me you understand, for a friend!)

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 16:44

They have a few on the Habitat website lilkel. I can't link to them though because of their funny flash website! They have some plain linen ones and some with neutral patterns in that size.

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:44

Are any of these any good Lilkel. 60cm is quite big isn't it?

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:46

Ours are OK really...even the curtain twitchy one. Although she likes to know what's going on, she doesn't gossip and has offered to help if I go into labour and need to wait for DH to get here, or if we need her to watch DS while we go to the hospital. she's quite handy to have around really...we call her The Neighbourhood Watch

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 16:48

oh, dwell, there's a good site...

it's just the cover I'm after actually - have the stuffing bit - old cover was disposed of in last fit of neutralising...

do they sell just covers in 60cm anywhere??

i hate teatime too! actually every mealtime is a battle at the moment. Like, why does DS only want cheese for breakfast? and only red Leicester? and why does he try to eat the banana skin instead of the banana? gaaaaaa

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 16:53

Lol at cheese for breakfast! My dd will only have cheese spread on toast for hers!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:54

these?

It's difficult to get just the covers these days......I think its generally just as cheap (if a bit eco-unfriendly) to get a whole new cushion.

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 16:55

i wish i could get DS to eat toast. must have tried 1000 ways to make toast and still he'll only actually eat maybe 20% of a slice at a given time (but 100% of any jam I put on!). Maybe he's just too young?? (14mo tomorrow)

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 16:57

RESULT! Love the Indian-style! Thank you!!!!!

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 16:58

How about bagels lilkel? Waitrose sell mini ones and my dd loves them with cheese or cheese spread on.

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:58

We aim to please . Actually quite like those myself and like the eco-friendly fair trade ethos of it all!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 16:59

She said cushion covers....CUSHION COVERS....not bagels

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 17:00

I was thinking of alternatives to toast you sarcastic witch !!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 17:02
Grin
notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 17:04

LOL, DS more likely to eat the cushion cover than toast actually...

little bagels - interesting - might work as he does like baguette when we have it. Something about the non-crumblyness of it I think. Perhaps he's just a food snob? Oh dear how did this happen....was it all those cooking shows I watch?

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 17:05

Dd was licking my trousers for about an hour earlier! I think she was being a puppy, but just goes to show that textiles are rather tasty to toddlers!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 17:10

feed them gluten free bread then...it has all the tast and texture of wet cardboard

daisybump · 11/05/2007 17:10

i mean taste...

bumperlicious · 11/05/2007 17:53

Ok, not caught up from the past couple of days, and won't stop long as I'm exhausted but just wanted to say....

I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Finally finished work! Got lots of lovely gifts and flowers! Still hasn't hit me yet. It's doubly strange for me too as when I go back though I will go back to the same organisation I won't go back to the same job or same team, so it was kinda the end of an era today. Mixed feelings about it but the overwhelming one is tiredness!

Hope you are all ok - will try and catch up now!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 17:58

Feels great doesn't it Bumper.....i would like to say that after six weeks I'm bored, but...no, not missing it one little bit!

Just found this great website . cant really think of an excuse to buy anything else, but its a good one for future reference.

I was actually looking at Petit Planet leather changing bags...there's one on ebay and I wanted to see how much they cost new...Think it might be worht a punt.
