How's DD? Is she sleeping?

BadZelda · 10/05/2007 23:07

Daisy mine's 44 and I'm not that tall!

BadZelda · 10/05/2007 23:16

Everyone's gone to bed now, and we've just come back from a lovely restaurant as a kind friend has been babysitting for us...managed to restrain myself JUST from having desert but still feel like I'm going to burst in a minute. YUMMY though mmmmmmmm Gnight all!

It's a bit quiet this morning. DS poorly today and although he's gone to school, I'm half expecting a phone call. He's not going to the in-laws so I don't have to tidy up, but it means I don't gt a lie in tomorrow. Had another crappy night (I get one good one, one bad one) so I'm off back to bed.

Got a text from TH saying "Are you OK, I'll call later"....which is no more or no less than I asked of him, but I'm not exactly "feeling the love".

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 10:11

Morning daisy! Hope mystic red ranger is ok and doesn't have to come home. At least your dh texted you, that means he is thinking of you. Hope he phones you with love later. Have a lovely sleep!

I went on a bit of a mad sort out last night and was up til gone midnight gathering stuff together and emptying and refilling drawers! I sort of feel I'm at least on my way to being ready for this baby to be born!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 10:18

Oooh Holly, sounds like nesting to me! I know this bub is nowere near ready to be born because I just look at the bombsite that is my house and think....."can't be arsed"

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 10:20

My house is still a shit tip, but at least the baby clothes are no longer in carrier bags!! Oh and I have a list of stuff to buy from boots! I also need to buy a sieve for my pool!!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 10:35

Mmmmm...nice thought

Florist has just arrived with a big bunch of exotic blooms and an "I Love You" card....but it's not exactly perked me up any

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 10:42

Awww that's lovely! Bless him! Maybe if you put them in a lovely vase and look at them you'll feel better!

Grrr...my dd has just raided the snack drawer and has eaten all my yummy chinese rice crackers! She's just come in and shown me the empty pack! Oh well at least it's not crisps or chocolate!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 11:03

I know...I'm just being churlish about it taking me having a huge emotional wobbly for him to do this sort of stuff......at least he buys me flowers and they are from my favourite florist and are always really exotic and strange.

Blardy hormones....I'm blubbing now!

riabutterflew · 11/05/2007 11:11

Morning all. Sorry it's all gone tits up for all of us!

I am firmly back in the camp of can't be arsed too, because whatever I start doing takes at least twice as long as it should do and it's pissing me off. (have invited a friend round for a drink tonight because the boys are going to have a trial run sleeping at G&Gs house. Wish I hadn't bothered because there's so much tidying to do first...)

DH has hurt his back and it looks like I will have to rip the TENS machine off him as soon as I need it. (One of his pads fell off yesterday though and he grabbed it with his hand, forgetting it was switched on, and sent an electric shock up his arm. Isn't it terrible how it's the little things that are the most entertaining?)

daisybump · 11/05/2007 11:30

LOL Ria.....that thought has put a smile on my face, but your poor DH.....

Just spoken to mine and just blubbed and blubbed at him. He's apologised for his lack of thought, but his work is a bit crazy at the moment....40 new product lines to go in store in the next few weeks and he's fucked up on one of them and had to stop the launch which is costing the client (food store normally known for its clothing) a lot of money as well as his company a lot of money and everyone is a bit pissed off about it and the buyer for the client is refusing to answer any calls. Feeling even more about my wobbly now as he hadn't mentioned any of this to me...maybe if he had we could've talked about things and this whole week might have been better for both of us. Men...what are they like. Anyway, we're going to go out for a nice family lunch tomorrow.

Off to do some housework and general sorting out...holly you've inspired me!!

notsolilKel · 11/05/2007 11:32

Hiya - Daisy your DS sounds just too adorable. I mean, "I'll hold your booby for you?" My god. I wonder what mine would say, if he could... best not think about it And your DH sent you flowers? Shit man, that's actually really nice. NOw I can't slag him off anymore...

Foxy secretly glad to see I'm not the only one with raging paranoia about DH! Mine has a sporty blonde 24yr old working for him, ask me if it bothers me at all.....grrrr......

Off to iron my tablecloth. Yes I think this weekend could be it.....

daisybump · 11/05/2007 11:40

Me neither I suppose Lilkel

Been laughing at your straighteners thread....think most people agree you should take them in!!

DS latest comment....I should write these all down as he is priceless....is regarding my new hair colour...I asked him whether he liked mummy's hair and he said no he prefers it dark. I said, oh but its just like yours now...to which he replied yeah, but at least mine will be like this forever!

.....Cue Daisybump wandering off feeling ever so slightly deflated....

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 12:01

Lol at mystic red ranger!! He has a wicked sense of humour! Hope you are feeling better now daisy, at least you know dh wasn't being a twunt because of you! Bless him for making it up to you so wonderfully!

I have a reasonably tidy house now, but there are fucking bits of crap all over the floor because dp hasn't fixed my bloody hoover yet! I hate having bits all over the floor! He is finishing at lunchtime today because he has loads of work to do. Yeah right! He is going to eat his lunch and sit in front of the pc or sky sports news for the rest of the day! I will make him fix my hoover though or I'll kill him!

daisybump · 11/05/2007 12:03

We need to sort out text buddies for passing on the good news.....complete radio silince a la May would drive me potty.....still no news from SOH and some of the other ladies who were off for inductions/ elective c-sections.

Just realised I have an appointment wth my consultant next Wednesday to discuss elective c-section vs trial of labour. was pretty sure I wanted to at least try for a natural birth, but as D-day looms ever closer I'm having second thoughts......

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 12:03

BTW chicks, La Redoute have some lovely bfing pjs and nighties and I have some £10 off codes with free delivery. Check them out!

riabutterflew · 11/05/2007 12:05

Oh daisy, your DS is priceless! My sister always says in a really irritating manner "out of the mouths of babes...".

I suppose your DH was trying to protect you from his stresses at work. Hope it sorts out for him. They are very well intentioned sometimes these men, but it doesn't stop them going about it ALL the wrong way. And they forget that they aren't the only ones who can't read minds (unless of course they're guilty and that changes the perspective entirely).

I might meet my DH for a drink tonight after he finishes work - just because I can (that's if I've got my "cinderella complex" sorted by then). Sadly I don't like the "work" DH very much, 'cos all his customers are - politely - not my sort of people. Am off to wash the bathroom floor so it can dry while I have a bath and DS watches that terrible Scottish programme...

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 12:08

I'm a little bit frightened daisy! D-day is sooo close! I'll email you my mobile number now, then we can be text buddies and it's sorted! I'd really hate it if someone from our thread went quiet in the throws of labour! I'd worry so much!

riabutterflew · 11/05/2007 12:08

Can you do us a link for those codes Holly?

Please

I got one of the cocoon nighties. It's V nice (don't think I've ever had such a pretty one). One thing I found out too late though is that the matching slippers aren't very big. I got the biggest size and they aren't overly generous. Am hoping they will give a bit when I've worn them. I still haven't worked out how to log back into my account though...

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 12:09

Oh Ria I hate that terrible Scottish programme! We have Teletubbies video on atm so I don't have to watch it!

mytwocents · 11/05/2007 12:10

Afternoon ladies!
my baby is currently kicking me away from the desk!!!! Obviously does not approve of me still being at work....
Flowers sound gorgeous daisy, yes men are often rubbish at admitting there's something wrong and the whole mutual support thing - thank goodness for women!

Well, we finally have a moving date - 16th June ( not exchanged yet ) I'm due on the 28th but i feel very strongly that this baby will be early - cutting it a bit fine but would be SO great to be away from horrid neighbors..

Love lilkel's thread, I don't own straighteners but will be tinting my eyelashes and def packing make-up, fake tan, hairbrushes and a razor.....

hollyandalice · 11/05/2007 12:11

La Redoute codes! I think they're all on here. They've sent me a couple recently, but i think they have already been posted on this site.

daisybump · 11/05/2007 12:21

At least you'll have an excuse for getting out of helping lift heavy boxes etc Mytwocents......if only we could be sure when they'll arrive, we could plan our deliveries a bit better.

Isn't la redoute expensive? I'm off for a wee nose anyway.

Just had an e-mail from Doggus.....her LO is now head down (was breech before) and she is arranging transferring her care up norht and moving. She'll be back with us when she has settled into her mum's house.

I've sent you my number Holly.....and Bumperlicious has it too.
