aw thanks ccpink! So sorry, in all the excitement/nerves/trepidation about my scan I didn't see your post about your mum, just scrolled down and found it, that's such great news! I hope the radiotherapy goes well!

MrsMar · 17/05/2007 17:26

Gawd I'm not looking forward to those kinds of conversations! I can leave it all up to dh now we know we're having a boy hahahahaha! on second thoughts, knowing how much dh knows, might not be such a great idea!

Mrs Mar,

That's fab! (and our boys look like they will have plenty of girlfriends to choose from on this board... ).

I am nervous now because my wee one was on the 90th percentile on all the graphs... does this mean I am having a massive whopper? I'm only a wee size 8... aaarghh!!!

MrsFish · 17/05/2007 18:37

Congratulations MrsMar.

My ds is completely average on all the measurements too. DH is well chuffed, thinks he has supersperm because we will have two boys

I have put on 1 stone 4 pound so far. 20 wks to go, I wonder how much more I will put on. As long as it isn't as much as ds1 I will be happy, I put on 3 and a half stone with him.

Chattyhan · 17/05/2007 18:43

You guys make me laugh!!!!

Great news on the scan MrsMar

canadianmum · 17/05/2007 19:02

Congratulations mrsmar! Isn't it a relief when it's over and everything is ok? Now at least you can narrow the name search down to just boys, we are struggling to find one of each that we love .

kinki - what a dreadful situation, asthma is such an exhausting condition and with 2 children to look after....I really feel for you. Please vent vent vent on this thread. I hope the steroids kick in soon...

chatty - haven't had a chance to read your other thread yet but I really hope it works out well with you and your DP - sounds like he really needs to pull his head together and you have quite enough to worry about at the moment.

filbrit - OMG! Your boss sounds like such a complete neanderthal, is he married? If so, then I REALLY feel sorry for his wife. Glad you were able to hold back the tears and not give him the satisfaction - well done!

ccpink - great news about your Mum!! Take it easy, if it is SPD then you should talk to your midwife and get a referral to an obstetric physio. Evidently you need to keep your legs closed as much as possible

So much has been happening, it's like an Antenatal soap opera over here, I can't keep up .

Tinkjon · 17/05/2007 19:47

MrsMar, what lovely news! Congrats to you!
ccpink, also very glad to hear the news about your Mum, that's great. Chattyhan, how are you doing today?
Ok, everyone stop talking about nice food in front of the potentially-diabetic lady who can't eat ANYTHING nice! Nah, just kidding, talk away - you're all adding things to my mental list of 'things I'm going to eat when this is all over' Actually, I caved today and had a bar of Dairy milk - first ibt of sugar in almost 6 months and it was goooooooooooood.

FilBrit · 17/05/2007 20:41

MrsMar - congrats on the scan

My DH is just back from Tesco with lots of yummy ice cream (mint choc chip - my fave!) - arrgh. I know he's doing this to be nice and I have no will power and am now starting to get scared by the state of my thighs!

FlossALump · 18/05/2007 08:30

I won't need to tell DS about girls or anything, because he won't be doing anything of that sort of thing .

loobybump · 18/05/2007 09:35

Mrs Mar - the reason for asking about how you could tell on the scan was becasue everyone says on my scan pic they can see a willy but the part every one says is a willy i was told was the umbilical cord.. im confused!!

loobybump · 18/05/2007 10:11

You never guess what! some woman just came into my office and just started lecturing me about wearing heels whilst pregnant cheecky COW!!!!!!!!! i just sat their and let her tell me how irresponsible i am being pregnant and wearing heels and its very selfish of me!! who does she think she is!!!! heels are the thing i have left heels and make-up is all i have left to make me feel a lill normal or sexy!!! o and choc! i cant fit in anything i used to wear and no point buying myself new outfits OMG im so F-in mad! .. sorry had to shout this out somewhere

rhubarb90 · 18/05/2007 11:13

How extremely rude of her. Tell her it's absolutely none of her business what you wear. As long as you feel comfortable in heels and it makes you feel better, why the hell shouldn't you wear them? Some people...

MrsMar · 18/05/2007 11:19

Thanks for congrats everyone! Holly, I'm sure the measurements aren't totally indicative, I have quite a small bump and at certain times can get away with not looking pg at all (might be cos i'm tall) so I'm sure I'm due a big growth spurt, whereas yours might slow down for a bit. They must all average out in the end! Otherwise you might have to ask HopeItWontBeBig if you can borrow her name

Hi looby - the thing that I'm presuming is his willy was pointed out by sonographer as being his willy. She said do you want to know? we said yes please, so she found the bits and said, well what do you think that is? I laughed because it was so obvious! So I'm assuming she didn't send us away thinking we've got a boy just because she showed us the cord! If I can I'll try and post the scan pics on my profile... including the one of his bits (poor mite, won't thank me in the future for showing the entire world his crown jewels!!)

HIWBB - I've just seen your daddies sauce comment! ooh you are a naughty girl :

loobybump · 18/05/2007 11:20

I know i was so mad the old Moo has gone now. i h8 it when people think they have the right to tell you How to be.agh! moose!!!!! lol you can see im still p1ssed off @ that. ill get over it soon.. maybe i should eat some more and the stress me leave my body!

loobybump · 18/05/2007 11:22

hi mrs mar yeah ill try put the scan pic on mine of the bit that everyone is saying is the tinkle"! and we can compare!!! hahha how funny!

MrsMar · 18/05/2007 12:24

hmmm dh has sent me the scan photos as a pdf... any one know if I can upload pdf files or do they have to be jpegs?

loobybump · 18/05/2007 12:47

I think you should be able to upload it as a pdf and it may convert it to a jpg for you! hopefully.

trinity1 · 18/05/2007 12:51

Hello everyone - oh God! Am craving chocolate - I can't get enough! Had an Aero for breakfast this morning and felt so guilty! Am eating a kitkat whilst writing this! That and whole milk (3 pts a day!) Is so different than with DD - went completely off Choc for the entire pregnancy with her. Put on 1 1/2 stone then and have already put that on with 15 weeks to go! DP has been great and keeps telling me its obviously what the baby wants but I just feel like a fat unattractive heifer! Roll on Sept 2nd!

Just booked in for a 4d scan for June 9th (one wk before DD's 1st birthday). Really wanted to see baby again before the birth as down in Sussex the 20wk scan is the last one you get - couldn't wait another 20wks! Am desperate to see whether its definitely another girl. Have got names all lined up: Oriana for a girl and Kai for a boy and just want to stop calling bump 'baby number 2'!

Rin23 · 18/05/2007 12:54

Has this thread taken on a "naughty" streak since I last posted - daddy's sauce and an obsession with offspring's willies... I ask you!?

loobybump - that's outrageous, what a cheek! I can't stand people making statements like that, though one of my pregnancy books says that if people make judgemental comments it is more about them than you, so if you think about it like that - well maybe there are some underlying reasons behind her general negativity and rudeness that you can actually feel sorry for. (like, maybe she has a humongously big bunion and can't wear heels...?)

hope everyone has lovely weekend - the sun is shining....!

loobybump · 18/05/2007 13:14

Trinity - I am the same with choc i love the stuff... its great mines been galaxy my Dp gets me a big bar every friday! :-) so i cant wait till home time gonna eat lots any weight gain im blaming on milk and water retention usually works and the fact i have a baby growing in me think that has something to do with it... probably the choc has more though!

Rin- i think thats the case i have calmed down over the situation now... and yeah i read what myself and mrs mar had put and it did sound slightly naughty...though it wasn't i was just trying to tell if mine was a boy from the scan pic as iv gone for a suprise but every one seems to think the umbilical cord in the scan pic is a winky woo!!! i have no preference but i wanna know cos everyone else knows their's!!! LOL!

MrsMar · 18/05/2007 13:48

what's wrong with a bit of naughtyness?? hehehe

I'll try and upload the pdf file of my scan photos, will let you know if I'm at all successfull (doubtful!)
