This is my 2nd dc. We weren’t trying so unexpected but I’ve had a feeling something was going on for the last week. Tested this morning and got a BFP.

So it’s DC2 (already have a 4 year old DS)
Due date 5/11/18 I think

My feb 2014 group is fab and I’ve made some lovely friends on there so hoping to do the same this time all being well!

Hiya, I've not checked in for a while, I've just been so busy and so very, very tired. But annoyingly also suffering from insomnia. I remember with DD struggling to sleep, I have all these wierd half sleep dreama about random events and can't switch off.

I'm getting really bad breathlessness and a racing heart which I'm not liking at all.

I feel bad for DS and DD who we haven't told yet, because I keep curling up on the sofa and dozing which is not like me.

Oddly enough, DS drew me a picture today of a baby, unprompted. Bit wierd! He normally draws ninjas or dinosaurs.

Got my booking in appointment for 22nd March at 8:15am (I'm not a morning person!) which initially I though was great as I could just feign an early gp or dentist appointment and get to work for 10, but now realised it's also DS's parents evening and I was hoping to finish at 4. Not sure I can get away with both.

Hello BadBadBeans,
Just stuff I've read online really. Usually have period 12th last 2 months 11th. I'm going to do tomorrow morning with 1st wee. God, there's so much online it's difficult to know what to do for the best.
I've been nauseous on and off since 2 day's after ovulation, breasts heavier and tender and that funny taste in mouth 😝.
Only told friend and obviously my man.
Mum passed 4 year's ago so trying to research as much as I can.
Unsure when to let sister's know .. you know what they'll be like!
Just glad I've signed up to mumsnet! 😄
I'm 45 so not a spring chicken! Lol ... but very young at heart.

Hi @wejammin - have you had your iron levels checked?? Sorry for the unsolicited advice - I just saw your note on breathlessness/racing heart...I had a resting heartrate of 120-130 throughout my last pregnancy which scared everyone, but they couldn't find any reason for it apart from anaemia, so I was on heavy iron supplements from very early days (and still am!!). Might be worth a question if it's not being looked into already.

@wejammin yeah, I keep on waking up really early and being unable to get back to sleep. I think it is an anxiety/shock related thing.

@SkyLucy I haven't had any blood tests yet, my booking appointment is in 2 weeks. I'm taking a general supplement including iron so I hoped that would help. I am vegan and try and keep up with my green leafy veg but it has been a struggle the last couple of weeks so maybe I need to pay more attention to my diet.

Hello. I got my BFP today after trying since December shortly after turning 30. First baby so very excited!! I've been tracking ovulation so due date is 21 Nov 2018. Only 11 DPO so very early and don't want to get too excited just yet! Going to ring the doctor tomo :). OH is Military so away mon-fri on base. Any other expectant mulitary wags out there?!

@wejammin....I'm vegan too! I always managed happily with a multivitamin, but pregnancy was a struggle iron-wise. I take a Galfer tablet every day...my levels increased very quickly and have stayed healthy, so if that's the issue, it's easily fixed.

@SkyLucy no way that's great! This is my 3rd baby but my first vegan pregnancy, I went vegan after DD was born 3 years ago - I developed a meat aversion when I was breastfeeding and never looked back.

Historically iron tablets have made me feel really sick and terribly constipated (used to take for heavy periods as a teen) so I might try some spatone or floradix first and see if that helps.

Did another test this morning to make sure she's still in there!!

I'm going to have driven myself bananas by the time scan rolls round!

Congrats to everyone!

I got my BFP yesterday (Happy Mother's Day!!), we have been TTC #1 for 7 months and this was the first month I've ovulated since November due to PCOS. I ovulated quite early on CD11 Fertility friend is telling me I'll be due on 17th November.

I am absolutely bricking it, to be honest, I can't accept it yet. I think it's too early for a digital test so I'm going to wait, keep doing ICs and hope AF doesn't come then will buy one after CD 28 (Thursday).

I have AF like cramps and everything I'm reading says that's normal but I'm still panicking, I've hardly slept last night and have been up for a drink quite often so my FMU test this morning is lighter than yesterday's (but still a line...).

So yes... fingers crossed for us all! It's great to be in this part of the forum even if I am a nervous wreck!! 😂

Am six weeks today and having a scan at EPU (last pregnancy ended in mc). Did anyone else have a MASSIVE increase of cm? Past couple of days have been loopy and I keep running to the loo

my daughter is from my marriage which ended badly when I was 7 months pregnant and he has never been involved with his daughter. I met my new partner about 2 years ago and we moved in together two months ago. We wanted a baby in about 18 months time and I was on the pill so we were surprised! I found out on Thurs, only told him last night as we had his parents staying all weekend but he was ok, just a bit shocked! I'm still in the fb group from my Jan 2015 bus which is really active and they are a great source of support so hoping for the same here!

I had hg last time, haven't started yet but I'm dreading it....

Hi everyone, fab to see so many others expecting November babies already! Congrats to all! I got my BFP on Saturday at 12dpo, but I sort of knew from around 7/8 dpo. This will be number 3 for us - feeling a bit less bonkers for taking the plunge seeing a few others in same boat on here! (Hardly know anyone with more than 2 in RL).

It’s weird, as in my first 2 pregnancies, the sickness didn’t hit until 6 weeks, and sore boobs til 8. But both hit with a vengeance this time around a week before AF was due!

Anyway, will try to catch up on the thread when DC2 gives me the chance but wanted to pop by and say hi.

I don't have fb so will stay on here. To be honest, I keep forgetting I'm pregnant because haven't had many symptoms. Apart from a few bouts of random weeping! I started crying yesterday because I went climbing but felt too nervous to do any hard routes. I guess I need to get used to seeing my body in a different way for a while...

Is anyone struggling with sleep? I'm usually a pretty good sleeper but for the last fortnight I've been waking up early and struggling to get back to sleep - 5.30am today. :/

I was 6 weeks yesterday and registered online with the midwife today - feels a bit more real. Also getting intermittent waves of nausea which is not fun.

I've added myself on I hope that's ok, the font looks a bit funny cause of my phone... I hope I've done it right!

@aussi which hospital did you decide on in the end? I’ve gone for Kings and have booking in at 8.5 weeks and scan at 12.5. Feeling real now.

I can relate to everyone’s random symptoms! I’m still exhausted, have a constant headache and nausea but thankfully no sickness yet. To the poster who feels emotional that’s me too! I have the Ovia pregnancy app (highly recommended) and I cry at most of the updates... most unlike me!

Heading to shops at lunchtime for new bras - I can’t bear it much longer!
