Is anyone feeling flutters yet? I’m sure I’ve felt them a few times and just had 4 but worried it’s just gas. Seems to be in same place exact time though

Sals27 · 16/03/2018 16:04

I actually would have preferred a July or August baby and hoped we would have been pregnant but mother nature had other plans. The youngest in the school year doesn't really concern me.

I'm so envious of all of you feeling movement, I'm only 14w so could have a few weeks more to wait yet. I can't wait to feel the baby!

Zoey36 · 16/03/2018 16:19

@blondie1001 and @CheekyPearl I purposely tried for a September baby as I'm a teacher so it works best for mat pay and leave but now my due date is 28th August which means I already miss a week of already-earned pay unless I can convince a midwife to lie on a legal document!🙈 I'd prefer mine to be the oldest in a class too! I've timed it a bit too close! I've told the baby it has to stay in until September!

MonaTheMoaner · 16/03/2018 21:58

My nipples have been really sore since the beginning but why are they still so sore now at almost four months? DH can't go near them. If I accidentally get them with my inner arm I wince. It's the only symptom I have now apart from needing to wee through the night but it's driving me bloody batty.

startingtheengine · 16/03/2018 22:36

Can I join please? 12+4 with a due date of 24th September.

jubbablub · 16/03/2018 23:09

Yay! Scan done today. NT was 1.2mm, so looking good. Due date has changed by a day, so 12+6 and the 22nd September. Telling my grandparents that they’re going to be great grandparents was magical!!!

blondie1001 · 17/03/2018 00:38

Yay! Congrats jubbalub!

@jubbablub EDD twins for 22nd Sept!

Shook2018 · 17/03/2018 13:02

I'm not bothered about the school year thing too much - I've got the same due date (5 Sept) my mum was given with me and my brother, and we both arrived in August - and we turned out OK 😂

I'm having a miserable moment, just had another throwing up episode and I really thought this was now over at 15+3! Fed up of people giving me tips (no ginger does not fucking work for everyone) and telling me how bad so and sos was but, you know, they were never actually sick. Starting to think maybe it's hormonal ragey day!

LostMyBaubles · 17/03/2018 15:36

Shook hope you are feeling a little better soon

Welcome to the newbies

Mona sore nipples think is sign of hormones?

Pram is sorted, was going to use my quinny but sil has offered me here nearly new silvercross so will take that! Has everything but carseat. Seen carseat online for £40

Cot needs a good clean, will check mattress but im sure it's ok.

Need something for downstairs. And maybe something for our room if we dont want the cot in there

Not getting another changing unit as i barely used it with my first.

Will need baby bath

Nixen · 17/03/2018 16:13

Saw wee one again today, paid for a scan at babybond (£39- bargainous!) - she was not cooperating haha. Got some interesting pics of her front on though which is cool as we have a few profile shots! She’s still measuring bang on too so hopefully that will reassure me until our 20 week scan!

LostMyBaubles · 17/03/2018 16:48

£39 is fantastic!
Cant wait until next scan!!!
Glad your scan went well nixen

CheekyPearl · 17/03/2018 16:53

@blondie1001 @Zoey36 I bet I will change my tune closer to the time when it is mid August heat and heavily pregnant - I'll probably beg the baby to come early 🙈

RedRobin7 · 17/03/2018 17:02

@Nixen How many scans have you had in total? Tried to persuade my husband to go to Newbury as that is a bargain but it was a no! Only 3 more sleeps to go 😊

CheekyPearl · 17/03/2018 17:03

@LostMyBaubles you are so organised! So far I have bought 3 cute baby grows.. that is it!

LostMyBaubles · 17/03/2018 17:43

Cheeky not bought anything yet lol everything I have is from previous dc
The cot is nearly 8yrs old but still fantastic condition as barely used. Out of 8yrs would say its been used around 2-3years in total

CheekyPearl · 17/03/2018 22:16

@LostMyBaubles That's a good review for a cot if it is has lasted 8yrs! I've been inspired to do some window shopping today!

LostMyBaubles · 18/03/2018 10:24

Cost me £120 its a cotbed and I paid for the most expensive mattress they had so it would last £80

Best thing is the mattress comes with a fantastic waterproof cover that zips on the side.
Really helped with my extra refluxy babies

Im sure the brand is something like eastcoast
Bought it from lesters nursery world. They have a deposit system and pick up when baby is here, pay off in instalments

dingdongdigeridoo · 18/03/2018 11:15

Nothing has really survived from my DS6 so I’m starting from scratch. Only really been looking at cribs and travel systems at the moment as they are going to be the big expenses.

My DM wants to pay for an early gender scan. I think she’s just excited to go shopping!

kirinm · 19/03/2018 09:33

I have a scan this afternoon and I'm petrified. It's not until 4pm which feels ages away. I stupidly googled and there seem to be lots of people who had a good scan at 12w but lost baby by 16. I'm 16w tomorrow.

Katsanddogs · 19/03/2018 13:22

Good luck for your scan kirin try not to worry! For 99+% of women a good scan at 12 weeks means a healthy baby at 40(ish) weeks.
Went to toys r us yesterday to raid the sales. Got a pram + car seat set, breast feeding kit, bath and some little bits for half the price I was going to pay for the pram!
I've ordered my baby box too. Dp is really excited about that (because it's free) and doesn't want me to buy a moses basket but I wanted a rockable stand. Wish they did stands for the box.
My sickness has gotten much worse though. Not kept anything down over the weekend. Gave in and saw the doctor this morning and been started on cyclizine.

LostMyBaubles · 19/03/2018 16:02

Good luck kirin
Fx all is well

Kats how much were the carseats? Went and they were only 10% off 2 weeks ago

dingdongdigeridoo · 19/03/2018 18:33

Hope all was well Kirin. I think it’s natural to feel nervous. Step away from the google.

kirinm · 19/03/2018 18:37

Scan was okay. Baby is still there which is the bit I was worried about!

Thistles24 · 19/03/2018 22:26

Hi all! I'm due with our surprise DC3 19/9. All delighted now we're over the shock- never thought I'd end up parenting a teenager and a toddler at the same time! Had my first scan last week at 13+1, all looks well. Any guesses on the nub theory?!
