I'm still here! It's not that busy on the Facebook page so I'm guessing people are just busy.

My nausea has been replaced by a constant thumping headache. It is worse when I stand up and paracetamol does nothing. Not sure what's causing it but I ended up in bed at 9:30pm last night and slept for nearly 11 hours!

MoDip · 11/03/2018 13:16

My next scan is 1st May but need to try and change it as my husband works offshore and is away then! I keep waking up in the middle of the night wide awake, practice?!

LostMyBaubles · 11/03/2018 13:59

Kirin have you tried the forehead stick things?? Need to try it myself as ive got almost constant headaches but think it may be lack of sleep as I can't sleep

Nasuea is still very much here enough for me to still take my meds

Mo are you up to pee? When I do fall asleep im up every hourish to wee. Then cant fall back to sleep

Happy mothers day to everyone x

dingdongdigeridoo · 11/03/2018 14:21

I went through the headache thing too Kirin. I think it’s to do with the higher blood pressure. Paracetamol and cold compress were the only things that stopped it.

It has been a bit quiet in here of late. It’s that weird stage where morning sickness is easing off, but still no movement or kicks so there’s not much to talk about!

kirinm · 11/03/2018 14:29

Thanks both. I'm sure you're right about the blood pressure thing. I'll get some of that 4head stuff just in case.

I've got a scan a week on Monday. It's to measure my cervix length. I kind of prefer the time when we aren't getting scanned as it makes me so anxious!

LostMyBaubles · 11/03/2018 15:01

I personally hoped its not bp and more hormones. Hosp are keeping very close eye on bp due to other health probs
Need to pick some up myself

Good luck with the scan tomorrow

CuppaSarah · 11/03/2018 16:19

Took my mum and dd for a private scan today. Baby was so wriggly it was even doing flips! It really was amazing to see it again, got photos of it's tiny little feet too. The scan has done the trick and mum is behaving very very well! Really recommend baby bond, they even gave us cakes and chocolates as it was mother's Day.

CuppaSarah · 11/03/2018 16:25

Oh and I find a little caffeine really helps with headaches. Obviously don't overdo it or anything, but it really helps.

Nixen · 11/03/2018 16:52

My next scan is next Saturday, that’s the private one I booked - I’ll be just under 16 weeks - exciting!

I think I might be starting to feel babies movements - im 15 weeks today with my first, is that possible? Ive been trying to describe how it feels to DH and not being very successful!

Katsanddogs · 11/03/2018 17:42

Hey all,
Sorry to see so many illnesses here ☹
My scan is on wednesday and I'm starting to panic again! So hope it's all going to be ok. I've had a couple more bleeds but small and mostly old brown blood so not too worried.
I'm still sick as a pig every morning at evening. Avoiding meds so far apart from my ranitidine and still managing ok at work. All my colleagues have been great which is so helpful.
Jellytots are you having a scan tomorrow? Keeping everything crossed.

Katsanddogs · 11/03/2018 17:44

^^ Morning and evening

blondie1001 · 11/03/2018 18:02

I’ve been thinking about jellytots too. Hope you’re doing ok. When is your scan? xx

I was off work last week on annual leave. Having put my work clothes on this morning, I've noticed that they are definitely feeling pretty snug now. I'm trying to avoid spending money until after the 20 week scan but that's a fair way away yet. Anyone used maternity tights? Are they just less tight in the tummy area?

ShutTheFridgeUp · 12/03/2018 10:01

Listening with interest about the maternity tights! I put on normal tights yesterday assuming they would be stretchy enough... they were not.

dingdongdigeridoo · 12/03/2018 10:04

For those asking about jelly tots, sadly she started another thread so might not be back. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3189220-to-have-underestimated-how-fucking-awful-miscarriage-would-be If you are reading this thread jelly, I hope you are keeping as well as possible in this horrible situation. CuppaSarah · 12/03/2018 10:25

Poor Jelly tots, really awful to hear that. I hope she's doing ok, really sad to hear about her loss.

I have some maternity tights from previous babies. They're great, really handy postnatal too while your body is still finding it's feet again. You can pop them on with a dress and feel nice without any effort.

SquidgyMcPidgy · 12/03/2018 10:27

I bought maternity tights from h&m, they are good, there is more fabric at the front so they go above the bump. Although I don’t see how they will last more than a couple of months - they are already pretty snug and I went for a size larger too

LostMyBaubles · 12/03/2018 11:19

Kirin and everyone else having scans todat good luck

Cuppa that's fantastic your dm is being a bit more supportive

Jellytots Flowers

Been up most of the night beinf sick. Lost count at 8. Had my meds etc and its just comjng back out. Was blood jn sick too but think its from my tonsils as i have tonsilitis
Sipping on lucozade atm and fx it stays down

2 of my dc were sick too so think ots viral except they were only sick once/twice and me still sick this morning

kirinm · 12/03/2018 11:21

I'm not having a scan today. It's next Monday. But thank you!

LostMyBaubles · 12/03/2018 11:22

Ahh thought it was today. My bad lol

CuppaSarah · 12/03/2018 12:21

Lost That sounds miserable. Hope your whole house is feeling better quickly. It just takes so much more effort to handle illness when your pregnant. No way near as severe, but I keep thinking my sickness is gone then bam I loose my lunch. Really annoyed as I was so hungry and just like that my food was gone.

LostMyBaubles · 12/03/2018 12:58

Ive not been sick for nearly 3hours so hopefully ive turned that corner now!

Kids are happy playing, pj day here today. Eldest is a bit off but he has other health probs so hes on sofa with me.

Cuppa try some lucozade 😋 defo helped loads and love the orange one!
Once im feeling a little more better can start sone cleanin but until then its the sofa for me lol

CuppaSarah · 12/03/2018 13:16

I really fancy some lucozade now...I love the original flavour best. I might have to get some after the school run

LostMyBaubles · 12/03/2018 13:21

Im really into oranges atm lol so thought it was the safest one to get.
Had a few bites of apple and pear.

I really want watermelon cut like pizza slices, pear, apple ans grapes. Oh and melon. I really want lots of fruit

ashleaka · 12/03/2018 13:46

I found apples really helped as the juice quenched my thirst and its food too. Sparkling ginger beer also worked a treat for me!

Good luck to all for scans, it is a releif once it's done and all ok - I had my 12 week one today and all was well, the sonographer spent quite a lot of time going through the different things and I am actually closer to 13 weeks so due date 18th Sept now. It made me feel much much better to have seen the baby again (we did an 8 week scan privately but it feels like forever ago) and have some reassurance!
