I got the free baby box, it literally is just that, not full of goodies like the Scottish one, but I only had to pay £6 for p&p so I suppose it may be useful —cat is already eyeing it up—

dingdongdigeridoo · 03/03/2018 19:09

Haha, my cat would love the baby box too! I was thinking it might be quite nice for downstairs naps when they are newborns. But no idea how I’d stop her climbing in with the baby.

RedRobin7 · 03/03/2018 19:12

@Nixen I don't understand what the baby box is. I went on the website but couldn't see any pictures or description!

Fia256 · 03/03/2018 19:13

I've just signed up and paid the shipping. The shipping cost was in dollars does that sound right? I'm also worrying now that I've given my card details I'll keep being charged for something in small print 😬😬

CuppaSarah · 03/03/2018 19:39

That's the one! Looks like we're all in it together! FX we don't get scammed.

Namechangedtoscream · 03/03/2018 20:18

It's not a scam my hospital gives them out if you complete the baby university bullcrap on the website

Nixen · 03/03/2018 20:28

@RedRobin it’s literally a big cardboard box with a mattress and sheet in it, I’m out or id take a pic of mine for you! I’ll take a pic tomorrow :)

RedRobin7 · 03/03/2018 20:49

@Nixen Okay thank you! 😊

jubbablub · 03/03/2018 22:36

@LostMyBaubles that must just be your hospital. I’m in Manchester and had an early scan at 7+5 and am still having dating scan at 13 weeks regardless of whether I want the nuchal screening or not.

I’m feeling so tired again today. Is anyone else’s sleep absolutely shocking! I wake up in the middle of the night (3:30 am normally) for an hour and a half and it’s driving me nuts!

Poppins2016 · 04/03/2018 02:05

@jubbablub

It's not just you. As you can see from the time, I'm awake at stupid o'clock because my body doesn't fancy being asleep!

It's become a bit of an annoying routine... Need to discipline myself to keep the light off and not to give in to the temptation of MNing...

Poppins2016 · 04/03/2018 02:11

@CheekyPearl

I have a cyst that was last measured at 38 mm at its widest point.

I had quite a lot of pain on my left hand side in the very early weeks of my pregnancy as a result... I've also had similar pain during periods.
The pain settled down when I was around 8/9 weeks and I've only felt very mild twinges since.

Fia256 · 04/03/2018 07:42

What have people been told about their cysts?
At my 6 week scan they'd found one measuring 5cm, at 10 weeks it was measuring 6cm. My 12 week scan thankfully it hadn't grown so the midwife just said they will check it when I go to the consultant clinic or something. She also told me they burst eventually 😳?! I was told before now that they just usually shrink and go away, not burst! And after a quick google Im now terrified of that happening!

HanSpan1 · 04/03/2018 07:56

@Fia256
My cist is measuring 5cm x5cm x 6cm, so almost the same size as baby ha! My MW said not to worry, they usually shrink as baby gets bigger, she did say in rareoccasions they can burst and freak people out when they see a bit of blood down there, but reiterate they mainly shrink and go away over the course of pregnancy. Stay of doctor google Wink

Katjolo · 04/03/2018 10:51

Hi all, does anyone have their (12 week) dating scan this week?

Sals27 · 04/03/2018 10:59

kat I do, mines Wednesday. When's yoursm

CuppaSarah · 04/03/2018 11:03

FX these cysts shrink and disappear without bursting. Good luck everyone's scans this week.

I got given two booking in bounty packs so I'm off to claim my second pack with my mum's address. Two free packs of nappies suits me! Plus those mini sudocremes are fab

LostMyBaubles · 04/03/2018 11:26

Cuppa ive not had any bounty packs yet?? How can I get 1?

jub might just been because I'd had so many scans inc one at 10+weeks so prob felt didnt need scanning again

Nixen thank you would love to see a pic.
I need something for downstairs.
And upstairs in my room until im happy for baby to go in own room

If its literally a cardboard box I know my DM will most likely say something lol and im not sure if hubby would like it either.
We've always had these gorgeous cribs etc for downstairs

CuppaSarah · 04/03/2018 11:55

I was given a bounty folder with lots of leaflets and rubbish in which had the claim form in on both booking in appointments.

I'm a big fan of the baby boxes as they're so enviromentally friendly, plus since we had to get rid of the cotbed and moses basket as our old place had a secret mold issue in the cupboards, I'm trying to keep our consumption down as much as possible. So as long as baby likes it, they'll be in the box till they move up to a cot bed. I'm sure my dad will be horrified!

dingdongdigeridoo · 04/03/2018 11:58

Reminder to always give a fake email and address to the bounty reps so they can’t spam you for the rest of your life! I took inspiration from Phoebe from Friends and have become Regina Phelange.

RedRobin7 · 04/03/2018 11:59

@CuppaSarah I didn't get one at my booking in. Maybe I'll get one during my second one when I go for my bloods!

Fia256 · 04/03/2018 12:24

I got my bounty folder with all the leaflets and some free pregnancare in it when I went for my 12 week scan. But then we don't get given our notes till then either. Got the bounty mum to be pack, going to get the Emma's diary one too. Second the advice on giving fake details to these company's too!

Orange3618 · 04/03/2018 14:45

I totally agree. I filled in a few of those forms given in my bounty pack and now I get phone calls from gas and electric companies saying that they just want to make sure I have the right deal for an expectant Mum! Bluddy pain it is! Haven’t received anything else but hassle from it all.

Thanks for the advice all on chasing up my 12 weeks scan, will give them a call tomorrow to see what’s going on.

TheBlindspot · 04/03/2018 16:46

I signed up for all the freebie packs last time - to be honest the free stuff you get is no where near worth the spamming! You get a few free individual nappy samples, the odd wipe sample and loads of miniature bottles of Johnson's stuff (which we couldn't use anyway as DD's skin is too sensitive for Johnson's).

They were rubbish - I'm signing up to nothing this time!

Katjolo · 04/03/2018 17:55

Sals27 mine is on Thursday. Nervous but excited!

CheekyPearl · 04/03/2018 23:08

Thanks all for the cyst advice - glad they seem pretty common. Hopefully means they aren't serious!

At the 12 week scan we were shown our gorgeous baby and then she moved across to my left ovary and the cyst was bigger than baby! Apparently it is on the cusp of needing extra monitoring (just over 7cm x 7cm) so she went to speak to the consultant.. and left the cyst not the baby on the screen! 😂 Hopefully it will disappear on it's own! I've managed to avoid the temptation of doctor google so far..
