Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

sputnik...I was up on my feet the next day (which I doubt I would've been if I'd managed it naturally) and doing stuff around the house within a week. Yah it was sore, and yeah I had to be careful lifting, but it was OK really. I'm surprised how quickly I healed.

sputnik · 03/05/2007 12:47

Come to think of it my Mum made xmas cake a year in advance.

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 12:49

Duh...did you mean recovery from a hairless fanjo????? I'm a bit slow on the uptake today!!

sputnik · 03/05/2007 12:50

No, I meant recovery time from the shaving
Nothing worse than an itchy fanjo (well I haven't had a section, but anyway a sore scar AND an itchy fanjo just seems to be adding insult to injury)

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/05/2007 12:50

Very sweet picture BadZ

Just had call back from the Labour ward and I'm not allowed to take my own pool in due to possible infection risk and the weight on the floor?
Oh Bollocks!?

Ria - 2 year old cake is making me heave a bit!

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 12:51

Off for lunch and a bit of voting.....feeling a bit jaded with all the goading that's going on in the background today on other threads.....so maybe back this evening......

Have a good afternoon!

BadZelda · 03/05/2007 12:51

I really shouldn't be trying to write this kind of stuff with brain in current state:

{if $product.taxed_price ne 0 || $variants ne ''}
{include file="currency.tpl" value=$product.taxed_price}{include file="customer/main/altercurrencyvalue.tpl" altercurrencyvalue=$product.taxed_price}
{if $product.taxes}{include file="customer/main/taxed_price.tpl" taxes=$product.taxes}{/if}
{elseif $product.is_event eq "Y"}
{$lng.lbl_free|upper}
{/if}

gnnnnnnnnhhhhhh

BadZelda · 03/05/2007 12:53

On hairy fanjo topic: dear stuart has been using his clippers to keep me in check down there, and avoid dreadlocks (what a lovely mental image). Haven't seen it for quite a long time, but a quick check tells me that it's probably due another trim ;)

sputnik · 03/05/2007 12:53

Don't envy you. Do you do all that by hand?
Does it work at least?

kimi · 03/05/2007 12:56

I alway smile the the ante natal threads.
I have never been offended.
If you said something along the lines of, going to have it and sell it to the local peado, then that might be worrying, but I think most people here take it as a giggle, its only a few that have nothing much else to do that moan.

Keep um coming. xx

BadZelda · 03/05/2007 12:57

Oh it works a treat - actually I'm currently just modifying some code for a shop site I reskinned for the bookshop: here - they just want to add some new products and I haven't looked at it for quite a long time, so it's just a case of remembering which of the 400 odd templates it's made out of I that I need to edit. Actually in a wierd kind of way it's like doing the crossword?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/05/2007 13:01

BadZ....you're cool!

sputnik · 03/05/2007 13:03

Document document document, I should try that too sometime.
Apologies for geeky hi-jack of thread everyone.

Thanks Kimi. Some people are just rather sensitive

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 13:03

DKMA......as resident Structural Engineer, I can appreciate what they are saying about the weight on the floor, however if it's a newish hospital, it will have been designed for much higher loadings than those typically recommended and should, in my professional opinion, be strong enough to take a pool roughly 1.2m diameter, filled up to a depth of about 0.55m. The hygeine shouldn't be an issue if you were to use a liner as they come, I believe, in sterile packs.

You could allways ask them what load the floor has been designed for and I'll do you a calculation to prove it'll be OK!!

Sorry, I'll take my anorak and hard hat off now

BadZelda · 03/05/2007 13:07

Oh...and on a less geeky note, if anyone would like books at discount from this shop (they have a great selection) happy to sort out 20% off for you ;)

(lunchbreak finished now, so i'd better disappear again...shoot me if you see me before 5!)

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 13:09

Gosh it's all getting a bit geeky and anoraky on here today isn't it??

Cheers Kimi

sputnik, I don't think sensitive has anything to do with it, it just seems like out and out goading to me in order to kick something off and some of the threads to day seem to back that up....what sad sorry lives some people live if winding people up on this place is their only source of entertainment.

BadZelda · 03/05/2007 13:20

Sorry DaisyBump - promise never to post php again - just got a bit over-excited and carried away. Back to code-face now ;)

And don't let them get you down: stay here where it's nice and friendly: we think you're cool!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 03/05/2007 13:22

Daisy - so do you think I should push it with them then? Asking about floor loadings etc? I was just told a blank 'no' and was made to feel like I was asking if I could bring in a tribe of pigmies with me or something!!! She seemed very surprised at what I was asking!!! I am happy to push it tho if you think I've got a case?

Can I join in on being a geek - can I - can I!??
I doknowmyarsefrommyelbow when it comes to medication relating to asthma, blood pressure, some antibiotics, cholesterol, but mainly schizophrenia - if anyone is interested ever???

Daisybump · 03/05/2007 13:26

Its worth asking the question....at least it would show them that you are one very determined lady!!

justbeme · 03/05/2007 13:40

God, so much to catch upon!!
Cant they all get a life!! (not u lot... - the others!)

Just back from a 2hr hospital appointment!
Had growth scan and everything still ok but fibroid not moved, they found protein in my wee so will get it checked out and then I had an hour wait to see consultant who told me exactly what they always say - "we'll decide at 36 weeks whether its a CS or not¬!!!!"

I mentioned that one of my feet looked swollen last night but they didnt seem bothered.

so now having lunch and have to go to work in 1 hour - (this time next week it will be my last shift!!!! yahoooooo!)

riabutterflew · 03/05/2007 13:41

I feel left out! I don't know anything worth knowing (although if you soak a chicken bone in vinegar it turns to rubber - what you do with it then is anyones guess).

Fear not, cake going in bin with pointless lids and various small plastic pots from jellies (that I kept for kids paint pots - there was a thought to it, not just general weirdness.) Wish I could find a surprose chocolate stash...

Seansgirl · 03/05/2007 13:44

LOL DKMA at your descriptions!

riabutterflew · 03/05/2007 13:45

surprise chocolate stash.

I know it's a bit late to join in the "well done to our talented DCs" (I think that was yesterday?) I have just had a letter to say DS1 wrote a poem to enter a competition at school and his poem has been chosen to go in the book. I am quite impressed with him (that means I will have to be nice to him after school, attitude problem or not, though he should get a boost out of it himself so we might not even get the sttitude tonight). Bless him. He hates literacy with a passion too...

riabutterflew · 03/05/2007 13:46

FFS my typing is terrible.

Seansgirl · 03/05/2007 13:47

X posted there! Justbeme, glad to hear the scan went ok and that they are keeping an eye on you, totally sympathise on the got to wait and see scenario....
